Description
The present invention relates to a monochromatic light irradiation apparatus, and more particularly, to a monochromatic light irradiation apparatus that achieves high uniformity and high illuminance of monochromatic light necessary for improving measurement accuracy and measurement speed in spectral response measurement. .
In order to improve both the measurement accuracy and measurement speed of spectral response measurement as a monochromatic light irradiation device, it is necessary to increase the illuminance as well as to increase the uniformity of monochromatic light. However, in the conventional monochromatic light irradiation device, it has been difficult to achieve both high uniformity of monochromatic light and high illuminance. That is, in the conventional monochromatic light irradiation apparatus, priority is given to increasing the uniformity of monochromatic light, so that energy efficiency is sacrificed and the resulting illuminance is low. Therefore, much time is required for the spectral response measurement.
Patent Document 1 describes a spectral response measuring device for a solar cell. In this apparatus, a concave diffraction grating is used to obtain light intensity. In recent years, there are many holographic types of concave diffraction gratings. However, since the reflectance is as low as about 50% to 60% compared to the conventional mechanical engraving method, the number of elements can be reduced, but it does not necessarily increase the light intensity. Absent. Although reducing the number of elements has the effect of reducing the cost, in reality, the concave diffraction grating is very expensive, so the overall cost cannot be reduced.
Patent Document 2 describes a spectral response measuring device for a dye-sensitized solar cell. This device uses various lenses (concave lens, fly-eye lens) to increase the uniformity. This is intended to correct the uniformity distortion that occurs in light sources, spectrometers, and other optical systems, but only when an optical system that matches the actual non-uniformity is used. Has been realized, and it has been difficult to achieve it accurately.
FIG. 12 is a diagram showing a spectroscope optical system according to the prior art.
In the figure, white light that has passed through the entrance slit 101 becomes parallel light at the spherical mirror 102 and then enters the diffraction grating 103. On the diffraction grating 103, it is reflected as parallel light in different directions depending on the wavelength. Its parallel light is focused by the spherical mirror 104, head to the exit slit 105, only the light lambda 0 of a specific wavelength of which passes through the exit slit 105, a monochromatic light. When monochromatic light is generated using such a spectroscope optical system, it is necessary to collect light from the light source on the entrance slit 101.
FIG. 13 is a diagram showing an incident optical system that condenses light source light in a spectroscope optical system according to the prior art.
As shown in the figure, the light from the light source 106 was collected by the concave reflecting mirror 107 and then incident on the spectroscope side through the entrance slit 101. The entrance slit area on the spectroscope side is determined by the entrance slit 101 to obtain a constant wavelength resolution. As the optical path, the light from the light source 106 is condensed by an optical system such as a concave reflecting mirror 107 to create a light source image on the entrance slit 101 and pass a part thereof. However, the aberration of the light source image generated in the condensing optical system at this time disturbs the uniformity of the light after passing through the entrance slit 101.
FIG. 14 is a diagram illustrating an off-axis concave mirror optical system used in an incident optical system, a spectroscope, and an irradiation optical system in a spectroscopic optical system according to a conventional technique.
As shown in the figure, in this optical system, the concave reflecting mirror 108 is used off-axis in order to condense light or make it parallel light. However, this off-axis causes astigmatism. Astigmatism caused a loss of light emitted from the exit slit 105 and a decrease in uniformity in a spectroscope, and a decrease in uniformity in other optical systems.
FIG. 15 is a diagram showing a spot diagram when the concave mirror optical system shown in FIG. 14 is used.
This figure shows astigmatism when the concave reflecting mirror 108 is used off-axis and at an angle of 20 °. At the focal position, the light converges in a long and elliptical shape. The length of the major axis of this ellipse increases with the off-axis angle. In the off-axis concave mirror optical system, such elliptical light passes through the exit slit 105 of the spectroscope, and the uniformity of the light is reduced.
As shown in the figure, in this light quantity adjustment method, a disk-shaped ND filter 109 whose density varies spatially on the disk is placed in the optical path and rotated. Disadvantages of such a light amount adjustment method using the ND filter 109 are a light amount loss when passing through the ND filter 109 and a reduction in uniformity of the illuminance surface due to a concentration gradient inside the ND filter 109.
An object of the present invention is to provide a monochromatic light irradiation apparatus that can satisfy both high uniformity and high illuminance of monochromatic light in view of various problems of the spectroscopic optical system according to the above-described prior art.
An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a configuration of a monochromatic light irradiation apparatus according to the invention of this embodiment.
As shown in the figure, in this monochromatic light irradiation apparatus, the arc light source 1 is arranged at a position where the entrance slit 101 of the spectroscope optical system as shown in FIG. 13 is arranged. The light from the arc light source 1 is collimated by a collimator lens 2 that can obtain low loss and high uniformity in a wide wavelength range, and then enters the diffraction grating 3. The light that has become monochromatic light by the diffraction grating 3 is emitted to the exit slit 5 via the condenser lens 4. The amount of light is adjusted at the exit slit 5, and the stray light other than the predetermined wavelength region is removed by the filter 6. The monochromatic light thus obtained is converted into parallel light by the collimator lens 8 whose in-plane light quantity is adjusted by the homogenizer 7 and further provides low loss and high uniformity, and the monochromatic light with uniform in-plane illuminance in the sample 9 is obtained. Light is obtained. Although the irradiation area of the sample 9 was about 25 mm square in the conventional apparatus, since high illuminance is obtained in principle, irradiation light with an area of 200 mm square or more can be realized.
The characteristic points of the monochromatic light irradiation apparatus according to the present invention shown in FIG. 1 will be described below.
The first feature of the present invention is that the arc light source 1 is arranged at the position where the entrance slit in the spectroscopic optical system of the prior art is arranged, and the light emitting arc is directly incident to ensure the uniformity and intensity of light. It is that.
FIG. 2 is a diagram showing an incident optical system in the monochromatic light irradiation apparatus of the present invention.
As shown in the figure, in order to avoid the aberration of the light source image, the condensing optical systems 106 and 107 and the entrance slit 101 are not used as in the case of the entrance optical system shown in FIG. The arc light source 1 is arranged directly at the position 10 of 101. That is, in the present invention, the arc of the light source lamp having an elongated rectangular light emitting portion (arc) is considered as a slit opening, and the arc light source 1 is disposed at the position 10 of the entrance slit 101 of the prior art. The lamp actually used as the arc light source 1 is, for example, a 1 kW xenon lamp or a halogen lamp, and the arc width of these lamps is 1 to 2 mm. The incident slit 101 used in the spectrometer optical system of the prior art. It is about the same as the width of.
As described above, according to the monochromatic light irradiation apparatus of the present invention, there is no condensing optical system in front of the entrance slit 101 as in the conventional spectroscopic optical system as shown in FIG. This aberration does not occur. Therefore, monochromatic light can be selected from incident light that maintains high uniformity on the spectroscope side. Further, by omitting the entrance slit, the loss of light is minimized and high illuminance is obtained.
The second feature of the present invention is that astigmatism is eliminated by employing a lens optical system.
As shown in FIG. 1, a lens optical system is used instead of the concave mirror optical system as shown in FIG. By adopting the lens optical system, the off-axis angle becomes zero, and astigmatism is eliminated.
FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a spot diagram when the lens optical system of the present invention is used.
As shown in the figure, astigmatism is eliminated when compared with the spot diagram shown in FIG. 15 when the off-axis concave mirror optical system as shown in FIG. 14 of the prior art is used. Furthermore, since the light converges as a point-symmetric image even on the focal point, it is possible to suppress a decrease in uniformity. In addition, the lens optical system can be used stably for a long time because there is no deterioration of the reflective film associated with the spherical reflector.
On the other hand, in the lens optical system, the chromatic aberration occurs because the focal length changes for each wavelength due to the change in the refractive index with respect to the wavelength of the lens material. This chromatic aberration is particularly large in the ultraviolet wavelength region. In optical glass and quartz glass, which are actual lens materials, the refractive index suddenly increases in the ultraviolet wavelength region, and the focal length of the lens is shortened. For example, the refractive index of the optical glass BK7 is 1.515 at a wavelength of 600 nm, 1.552 at a wavelength of 300 nm, and changes to a focal length of 29.2 cm at a wavelength of 300 nm in the case of a lens having a wavelength of 600 nm and a focal length of 30 cm. However, since only monochromatic light is handled in the present invention, the change in focal length with respect to the wavelength of the monochromatic light can be easily corrected by moving the lens position. The movement of this position is about 10 mm, and a movement accuracy of about 0.1 mm is sufficient.
In the conventional monochromatic light emitting system of the spectroscopic optical system, a concave mirror optical system is used to avoid chromatic aberration. In this case, however, astigmatism reduces the uniformity of light. However, according to the present invention, it is possible to avoid a decrease in uniformity by using a lens optical system with position adjustment as in the case of the incident optical system.
The third feature of the present invention is that the amount of light is adjusted by the exit slit 5.
In the monochromatic light irradiation apparatus of the present invention, the amount of light is adjusted by changing the width of the exit slit 5 without using the ND filter 109 as shown in FIG. The amount of light obtained is directly proportional to the opening area of the exit slit 5. According to this method, the amount of light can be adjusted without using a special optical element, and since there is no element that reduces the uniformity of the optical system, this is a light amount adjustment method suitable for a monochromatic irradiation device.
FIG. 4A is a diagram showing a change in light amount with respect to the width of the exit slit 5.
As shown in the figure, the amount of light is proportional to the width of the exit slit 5, and the adjustment range is wider than that of the ND filter 109. By the way, generally, when the width of the exit slit 5 changes, the transmission band waveform changes.
FIG. 4B is a diagram showing a change in wavelength resolution with respect to the width of the exit slit 5.
In the present invention, since the arc arc width of the arc light source 1 is a constant value, as shown in the figure, when the exit slit width is narrower than the arc arc width, the wavelength resolution is a constant wavelength width depending on the arc arc width. When the exit slit width is wider than the light emitting arc width, the wavelength resolution is determined by the exit slit width.
A S0≫S1 波長幅dλ0
FIG. 5 is a diagram showing changes in wavelength and light intensity depending on the difference between the light emission arc width S 0 and the exit slit width S 1 .
The spectrum of monochromatic light obtained from this apparatus, assuming that the emission arc width S 0 is dλ 0 , the wavelength width calculated by the inverse dispersion is dλ 0 , the emission slit width S 1 is the wavelength width calculated by the inverse dispersion, and dλ 1. waveform, the magnitude relation of the light-emitting arc width S 0, comprising a, B, C, and four D.
A S 0 >> S 1 wavelength width dλ 0
B S 0 > S 1 wavelength width dλ 0
C S 0 = S 1 wavelength width dλ 0 = dλ 1
D S 0 <S 1 wavelength width dλ 1
FWHM, since it is determined by the larger of the light-emitting arc width or the exit slit width, in the range from A B, smaller towards the exit slit width S 1, the half-value width of the emitted light, light emission arc width S It is determined by 0 and becomes a constant value of dλ 0 . In that range, the light intensity changes according to the exit slit width S 1, the larger the output slit width S 1, the light intensity becomes strong. Exit slit width S 1 is, the larger than the light emitting arc width S 0, the half-value width, since it is determined by the emission slit width S 1, the half width is changed by changing the exit slit width S 1.
In the present invention, the states of A, B, and C are used, but the light emission arc width S 0 is the same value as the light emission arc width of the arc light source 1 and is always kept constant.
Light emission amount in this case, as shown in FIG. 4 (b), is proportional to the output slit width S 1. Therefore, it is possible to adjust the amount of light emitted by varying the exit slit width S 1. By this method, it is possible to adjust the light amount while avoiding both light loss and uniformity reduction, and as a result, it is possible to realize spectral response measurement with high measurement accuracy.
The fourth characteristic point of the present invention is that a homogenizer 7 is disposed between the exit slit 5 and the collimator lens 8 to improve the illuminance uniformity.
The greatest difficulty of the monochromatic light irradiation device is to improve the illuminance uniformity of monochromatic light. In the conventional apparatus, an active method for improving the illuminance uniformity has not been taken. That is, there has been a method of searching for a highly uniform place while repeating the adjustment of the optical system without a firm principle.
FIG. 6 is a diagram showing the emission optical system of the present invention.
As shown in the figure, the uniformity of illuminance is positively improved by disposing a homogenizer 7 that gives a spatial density change at an appropriate location between the exit slit 5 and the collimator lens 8. The output light from the exit slit 5 irradiates the sample 9, and the light beam in the optical system is constituted by the light beam connecting all the points of the aperture of the exit slit 5 and the light receiving surface aperture of the collimator lens 8. That is, as shown in the figure, since the light beam after passing through the collimator lens 8 becomes parallel light, each point on the surface of the collimator lens 8 and each point on the light receiving surface opening of the sample 9 basically overlap each other. Accordingly, the light receiving surface of the collimator lens 8 and the opening of the light receiving surface of the sample 9 may be regarded as the same.
FIG. 7 is a view as seen from one point A on the opening of the exit slit 5, and shows light rays that pass through the point A and connect all the points on the light receiving surface opening of the sample 9.
FIG. 8 is a view seen from one point B on the light receiving surface opening of the sample 9, contrary to FIG. 7, and shows light rays that reach the point B from all points on the exit slit 5.
In such an optical system, a shadow produced by a light beam when a homogenizer 7 that shields light in a specific pattern between two openings will be described with reference to FIGS. 9 and 10. FIG.
Y=y×(C/D)
FIG. 9 is a diagram showing a shadow formed on the light-receiving surface opening of the sample 9 by the shielding part having the size y in the homogenizer 7 placed at a distance D from the opening of the exit slit 5 with respect to the light from the point A. .
That is, the magnitude Y of the shadow produced on the sample 9 light-receiving surface opening by the light from the point A of the exit slit 5 opening is expressed by the following equation using the distance C between the exit slit 5 opening and the sample 9 light-receiving surface opening. Given.
Y = y × (C / D)
However, since many points on the opening of the exit slit 5 make shadows at different positions on the light receiving surface opening of the sample 9, the shadow having the size of Y cannot be formed.
W=w×(C−D)/D
In FIG. 10, the shadow magnitude value W formed by all the points on the exit slit 5 by the shielding points on the homogenizer 7 is given by the following equation when the width w of the exit slit 5 is set.
W = w × (C−D) / D
Based on the mechanism shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, a shadow is formed on the light receiving surface opening of the sample 9 by the shielding portion on the homogenizer 7. That is, the convolution of the shadow of size Y and the shadow of size W gives the shape of the shadow that can actually be formed on the sample 9 light-receiving surface opening.
FIG. 11 is a diagram showing a shadow pattern formed in this way.
By utilizing this, first, the illuminance distribution on the light receiving surface of the sample 9 is measured, and the illuminance on the light receiving surface is designed and applied by designing and applying a homogenizer 7 having a shadow pattern necessary for flattening the distribution. High uniformity can be obtained. Thus, by adjusting the light passing through the homogenizer 7 for each minute portion, the illuminance of the light receiving surface of the sample 9 can be positively controlled.
Specific examples of the method for producing the homogenizer 7 include: (1) a method in which fine dots are spray-printed on a plate by an inkjet method, (2) a method in which a fine mesh plate is used to open and close the hole, and (3) MEMS There is a method of turning off a specific pixel in a reflector array system made of microelectromechanical elements). According to the method of (3), it is possible to actively adjust the spatial transmittance, and by using this, the intensity spatial distribution of the irradiation light is measured, and the uniform distribution is based on the data. Irradiation light can be formed.
