Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a processing method and a processing machine used therefor, and for example, by irradiating a predetermined portion of a film-like or sheet-like processing target made of a resin material or a paper material with a laser beam, the predetermined processing target The present invention relates to a processing method used for perforating (local cutting) of a predetermined shape in a portion of the above and a processing machine used therefor. In particular, the processing method according to the present invention and the processing machine used therefor include plastic bottles such as PET bottles, containers such as glass bottles and cans, containers for instant foods, lunch boxes, and various foods that are displayed and sold at stores such as convenience stores. In addition, the present invention relates to a processing method suitable for forming a perforation at a predetermined portion of a shrink film applied to shrink packaging of various articles to be packaged, and a processing machine used therefor.
As a prior art which is the background of the present invention, perforations having various aspects are formed on a film surface such as a shrink label (heat-shrinkable film tube) serving as a shrink wrapping material, such as an argon laser, a YAG laser, a carbon dioxide gas laser, etc. Some laser beams are formed by intermittent irradiation with a laser beam (for example, Patent Document 1, Patent Document 2,
In these conventional techniques, the laser beam irradiation construction (formation of the cut line) is performed on a long film transfer line such as a slit line (width size adjustment of a wide film) or a center seal line (tube forming process). This is performed under continuous transfer of a long film fed from a roll. The film surface is scanned while the irradiation amount of the laser beam is periodically changed corresponding to the cutting interval toward the surface of the long film transferred at a constant speed. The laser beam irradiation amount is controlled by adjusting the ON / OFF of the laser beam and the output high / low by detecting the cutting position of the long film. By the laser beam irradiation construction controlled in this way, perforations having various aspects are formed along the longitudinal direction of the long film.
In addition, the prior art as the background of the present invention includes a laser light source for pulse oscillation of a laser beam, a light guide for guiding the laser beam onto the sheet, and a laser light source according to a change in the moving speed of the sheet And a perforation forming apparatus and a perforation forming method for forming a vertical perforation on a sheet of continuous paper or the like that continuously moves along a predetermined direction. For example, see Patent Document 5). According to this prior art, it is possible to form a vertical perforation having good properties for a continuous sheet that continuously moves according to a variable speed.
Further, the conventional technology that is the background of the present invention includes a perforation in the width direction on a workpiece having a certain width, such as a long paper or resin fed from a supply roll at a constant feed speed. The perforation processing pulsed laser light generated by a laser oscillator is scanned by a galvanometer mirror from one end side to the other end side in the width direction of the workpiece. During scanning, perforation can be formed in the width direction of the workpiece by moving the irradiation position of the laser beam in the direction parallel to the feed direction of the workpiece according to the feed speed of the workpiece. There has been a perforation processing method using a laser characterized in that (see, for example, Patent Document 6). In this prior art, there is no waste when forming a perforation by using laser light, and even if the feed speed of the workpiece changes during the formation of the perforation, the workpiece is processed at a predetermined interval. Perforation can be performed in the width direction of the object.
However, in the prior art as shown in Patent Document 1 to Patent Document 4, the amount of laser beam irradiation is made to correspond to the cutting interval of the long film toward the surface of the long film transferred at a constant speed. It is necessary to scan the surface of the film while changing the laser beam. The amount of irradiation is controlled by detecting the cutting position of the long film, etc. This is done by adjusting the irradiation conditions. Specific control of the laser beam irradiation conditions is based on the film material and thickness, the shape of the perforated holes to be formed, the perforation such as the hole diameter and the distance between holes (pitch), or the cut depth of the half cut. Depending on the situation, the control is complicated.
In the prior art as shown in Patent Document 5, the perforated cut portion is formed when the pulse oscillation is ON, and the non-cut portion that is not cut is formed when the pulse oscillation is OFF. ON / OFF of pulse oscillation is controlled according to the cut pattern (repetitive pattern of cut and non-cut portions). Further, the time output characteristics (output intensity, pulse width, duty ratio, etc.) of the laser light source are controlled by the control unit in accordance with the change in the moving speed of the continuous paper. Also in this prior art, a complicated control part is required.
In the prior art as shown in Patent Document 6, a laser oscillator for generating pulsed laser light for perforation processing and a galvano mirror for oscillating the laser light in the width direction of the paper are mounted. A rotation stage mechanism for displacing the galvanometer mirror, an optical path for guiding laser light from the laser oscillator to the galvanometer mirror, and a control device for controlling the galvanometer mirror and the rotation stage mechanism are provided. In consideration of changes in the paper feed speed, the scanning stage is moved so that the laser beam irradiation position is moved in a direction parallel to the paper feed direction in accordance with the amount of change in the paper feed speed. I try to control it. This conventional technique also requires a complicated control device. Further, in this prior art, although the displacement of the galvanometer mirror is controlled by the control device, there is no denying that there is a deviation in the irradiation timing of the laser beam when forming the perforation. For this reason, there is a risk of variations in processing accuracy, and in that case, stable perforation cannot be expected.
That is, in the prior art as shown in Patent Literature 1 to Patent Literature 6, as described above, the laser oscillator can be adapted to the material and thickness of the workpiece, the form of the perforation, and the conveyance speed of the workpiece. On the other hand, the ON / OFF control for intermittent irradiation of the laser beam, a complicated control unit (control device) for controlling the laser beam irradiation condition and / or scanning, etc. are required, and the apparatus itself becomes complicated and maintenance is required. It took a lot of time and was expensive to run.
Therefore, a main object of the present invention is to provide a processing method and a processing machine used in the processing method that are extremely simple and excellent in higher processing accuracy and work operability without requiring a complicated control unit.
The present invention according to claim 1 is directed to irradiating a predetermined portion of a film-like or sheet-like processing target made of a synthetic resin material and / or a paper material with a laser beam, thereby A processing method for disposing a cut portion formed by drilling into a predetermined shape, wherein a thermal energy conversion layer that absorbs light energy and converts the light energy into heat energy is formed at a predetermined portion of a workpiece. Including a conversion layer forming step, a portion of the thermal energy conversion layer, and an irradiation step of irradiating laser light continuously to a portion in the vicinity of the thermal energy conversion layer where light energy is not converted into thermal energy, As a result, only the part of the processing object having the thermal energy conversion layer irradiated with the laser light is perforated, and the cutting part is disposed at a predetermined part of the processing object. The symptom is a processing method.
In this invention concerning Claim 1, the heat energy conversion layer formed in the predetermined site | part of the workpiece by the conversion layer formation process has the effect | action which absorbs light energy and converts the said light energy into heat energy. . Therefore, if the laser beam is continuously irradiated to the part of the thermal energy conversion layer and the part where the light energy is not converted into thermal energy in the vicinity of the thermal energy conversion layer by the irradiation process, the heat irradiated by the laser light Light energy is intensively absorbed only in the part having the energy conversion layer. In this case, only the part of the processing target having the thermal energy conversion layer irradiated with the laser light is melted and vaporized by being efficiently heated (heated) locally, selectively and intensively. Therefore, a predetermined part of the workpiece having the thermal energy conversion layer irradiated with the laser light is drilled (locally cut) to provide a cutting part.
In this invention concerning Claim 1, in the predetermined site | part of a workpiece, a thermal energy conversion layer is formed in the site | part cut | disconnected locally and perforated. On the other hand, the portion of the workpiece on which the thermal energy conversion layer is not formed is hardly heated (heated) because light energy is hardly absorbed. For this reason, the portion of the processing object on which the thermal energy conversion layer is not formed is not perforated (locally cut) even when irradiated with laser light.
That is, in the present invention according to claim 1, since the laser beam is continuously irradiated to the part of the thermal energy conversion layer and the part where the light energy is not converted into the thermal energy in the vicinity of the thermal energy conversion layer, the invention of the present application. Compared with the conventional technology that is the background of the above, ON to irradiate the laser beam intermittently on the laser oscillator side so that it can correspond to the material and thickness of the workpiece, the perforation mode, and the conveyance speed of the workpiece Provides a machining method with superior machining accuracy and superior work operability without the need for complicated control units (control devices) that control / OFF control, laser beam irradiation conditions and / or scanning. It is possible to do.

In the present invention according to claim 2, formed by applying or printing an ink containing an infrared absorbing dye as a thermal energy conversion layer on a predetermined portion of the synthetic resin film and / or paper in the conversion layer forming step. Shaped parts such as lines, characters, symbols and figures are arranged. When laser light is continuously irradiated to the part where the figure part is formed and the part where the figure part is not formed by the irradiation process, the light energy is concentrated only on the part of the figure part irradiated with the laser beam. Absorbed. That is, only the portion of the figure portion irradiated with the laser light is melted and vaporized by being heated (heat generation) efficiently locally and selectively and intensively. Therefore, perforation (local cutting) corresponding to the form of lines, characters, symbols, and figures is performed on the portion of the figure portion irradiated with the laser light. In this case, a cutting portion corresponding to the form of the line, character, symbol, or figure is disposed at a predetermined portion of the synthetic resin film and / or paper.
The present invention according to
In this
A fourth aspect of the present invention is a processing machine used in the processing method according to any one of the first to third aspects, wherein the laser device is disposed at a predetermined position and irradiates a laser beam, and the laser device. And a conveying device that conveys the workpiece in a predetermined direction, and the conveying device does not convert the laser light from the laser device into a portion of the thermal energy conversion layer and thermal energy of the workpiece. A processing machine that conveys a processing object at a predetermined conveying speed so that the part is irradiated continuously.
In this invention concerning Claim 4, the laser apparatus fixed and arrange | positioned to a predetermined position irradiates a laser beam. The conveying device is disposed below the laser device and conveys the workpiece in a predetermined direction. In this case, the conveyance device conveys the processing target object in a predetermined manner so that the laser light from the laser device is continuously irradiated to the part of the thermal energy conversion layer of the processing target object and the part that is not converted into thermal energy. Transport at speed. Therefore, light energy is intensively absorbed only in a portion of the thermal energy conversion layer irradiated with the laser light at a predetermined portion of the workpiece. That is, only the portion of the thermal energy conversion layer irradiated with the laser light is melted and vaporized by being efficiently heated (heated) locally, selectively and intensively. Therefore, the portion of the thermal energy conversion layer irradiated with the laser light is perforated (local cutting), and the cutting portion is disposed at a predetermined portion of the workpiece.

In this experimental example, first, an infrared absorbing dye is applied to the surface of a base material 20 (processing object) having a thickness of, for example, 0.03 mm formed of a transparent synthetic resin film such as polystyrene (PS) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET). A
Next, the
On the other hand, a laser device (for example, a semiconductor laser heating device manufactured by Hamamatsu Photonics Co., Ltd .: not shown) is disposed at a predetermined position. According to the specifications of this laser device, the oscillation wavelength of the laser beam is 940 nm, the maximum output is 150 W, and the focused spot diameter is 1.6 mm.
And the
As a result, the output of the laser device is in the range of 6 W to 15 W, and the
In addition, when the laser beam LB from the said laser apparatus is irradiated with the maximum output (150W) with respect to the
FIG. 3 is a schematic plan view showing another experimental example of the processing method according to the present invention. FIG. 3A shows a state before drilling (local cutting) a predetermined part of the processing object. FIG. 3B is a plan view of the workpiece observed with a microscope (digital microscope). FIG. 3B shows a state after drilling (local cutting) a predetermined part of the workpiece. FIG. (A) and (B) of FIG. 3 are plan views respectively observed with a microscope (digital microscope) magnified by, for example, 50 times.
In this experimental example, compared with the experimental example described above, the number of laser beams LB irradiated to the substrate and the condensing spot diameter of the condensing spot are particularly different.
In the experimental example shown in FIG. 2, the number of irradiated laser beams LB is one, and the condensing spot diameter (φ) of the condensing
That is, it is arranged at a predetermined part of the processing target according to the number of laser beams LB irradiated to the processing target, the shape of the focused spot in plan view, the size of the focused spot, the pattern shape of the thermal energy conversion layer, etc. Various aspects such as the number, arrangement, shape in plan view, and the like of the perforated portions (locally cut portions) to be formed can be changed.
FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing an example of an embodiment according to the present invention. 5 is a schematic plan view showing the main part of the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, and FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional schematic view showing another main part of the embodiment shown in FIG. Further, FIG. 7 is a perspective view showing an example of use of the processing object processed by the processing method of the embodiment shown in FIG. The processing method according to the present embodiment includes plastic bottles such as PET bottles, containers such as glass bottles and cans, instant foods, lunch boxes, containers for various foods, and other items displayed and sold at convenience stores. This is a preferred processing method used for forming a perforation to be a cut line at a predetermined portion of a shrink film applied to shrink wrapping. This tear line is for facilitating the separate collection of the article and the shrink film when various kinds of shrink-wrapped articles are disposed of.
In the processing method according to this embodiment, first, a
A thermal energy conversion layer that absorbs light energy and converts the light energy into heat energy is formed at a predetermined portion of the
The perforation pattern planned
Further, on the upper surface of the
And the
On the other hand, for example, the two
Further, the
Therefore, when the
In this case, the focused spot S of the laser beam LB irradiated from the two
At this time, light energy (infrared rays) is intensively absorbed only in the
On the other hand, the non-cutting scheduled
That is, as described above, a predetermined action of the
As shown in FIG. 4, the
Then, the
In the processing method according to this embodiment, compared with the conventional technique, the laser oscillator side has a laser so that it can correspond to the material and thickness of the workpiece, the perforation mode, and the conveyance speed of the workpiece. Laser light from the two
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 to 7, the
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 to 7, the two
Further, in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 to 7, the perforation pattern planned
In the processing method according to the present invention, a carbon dioxide laser, an argon laser, a semiconductor laser, a helium / neon laser, an iodine laser, a YAG laser, or the like can be applied as the laser beam LB.
Further, as the infrared absorbing material, those which absorb heat at a wavelength of 780 nm to 3,000 nm with good heat generation efficiency are most preferable. For example, phthalocyanine dyes, triallylmethane dyes, naphthoquinone dyes, polymethine dyes Dyes, (di) imonium dyes, mianine dyes, thionyl nickel complexes, squalium dyes and the like are preferable.
In addition, as a binder component for fixing the infrared absorbing material on the surface of the object to be processed, various overprint varnishes such as a solvent type, an ultraviolet curable type, an oxidation polymerization dry type and the like can be adopted. In addition, an aqueous binder such as polyvinyl alcohol is also applicable. The infrared absorbing material obtained in this way can be printed on the surface of the object to be processed to form a thermal energy conversion layer with a general printing means and printing method.
