Abstract
Description
本出願は、本出願と同時に「Method of Reverse Link Dynamic Power Control in a Wireless Communication System Using Quality Feedback From a Delay Sensitive Traffic Stream or Overhead Channel」という名称で出願した同時係属中の米国特許出願第11/331999号でも説明されている主題を説明および特許請求するものである。
本発明は無線通信に関する。
Claims (12)
- リバース・リンク(RL)およびフォワード・リンク(FL)を介して送受信基地局(BTS)と通信している無線通信システム内のアクセス端末(AT)における方法であって、
前記BTSによって受信された遅延の影響を受けにくいデータ・フローの前記FL上で受信された品質表示フィードバックに応答して前記RLで伝送される前記遅延の影響を受けにくいデータ・フローのトラフィック対パイロット比(TPR)を動的に制御することを特徴とする方法。 - 前記TPRが動的に制御され、一方で前記BTSによって受信される遅延の影響を受けやすいトラフィック・ストリームが使用可能になっている場合はそのような遅延の影響を受けやすいトラフィック・ストリームの前記FL上で受信される品質表示フィードバックに応答して、およびそのような遅延の影響を受けやすいトラフィック・ストリームが使用可能になっていない場合はオーバーヘッド・チャネル上の前記RL上で継続的に伝送される信号の前記FLに受信される品質表示フィードバックに応答して、主RLパイロットの電力が動的に制御される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記遅延の影響を受けにくいデータ・フローが、パケットのバースト・ストリームであり、前記品質フィードバック表示が、前記パケットのバースト・ストリームに応答して前記BTSで生成されるACKおよびNAKのストリームである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- NAKが受信された時、前記TPRを所定のステップだけ上方へ調整するステップと、
最後の目標の前または最後の目標でACKが受信された時、前記TPRを所定のステップだけ下方へ調整するステップと
をさらに含む、請求項3に記載の方法。 - 前記TPRが関連付けられているパイロットのレベルを上げる表示と同時にNAKが受信された時、前記所定のステップより小さいステップ・サイズで前記TPRを上方へ調整するステップをさらに含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記TPRが関連付けられているパイロットのレベルを上げる表示と同時にNAKが受信された時、前記TPRを上方へ調整しない、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 所与のデータ・レートに関して前記TPRが上限および下限を有している、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記所定の上方および下方ステップのサイズが少なくとも部分的に前記データ・フローの目標フレーム誤り率に基づく、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記TPRの上限が前記ATの位置によって決定され、前記ATがセルの端部に位置している時、前記上限が、前記ATが前記セルの中央に位置している時の上限よりも小さく、前記ATがセルの端部に位置している時の上限は、近隣セルから受信される干渉アクティビティ・ビット(IAB)によって決定される、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記TPRがローカル・パイロットに関してそれ自身のエア・インターフェース内で制御され、前記ローカル・パイロットは主RLパイロットから導出される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記主RLパイロットが干渉キャンセルを使用するシステム内にある場合、前記ローカル・パイロットは、この主RLパイロットに干渉キャンセルが実行された後で主メインRLパイロットから導出される、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記BTSによって受信される遅延の影響を受けやすいトラフィック・ストリームが使用可能になっている場合はそのような遅延の影響を受けやすいトラフィック・ストリームの前記FLに受信される品質表示フィードバックに応答して、およびそのような遅延の影響を受けやすいトラフィック・ストリームが使用可能になっていない場合はオーバーヘッド・チャネル上の前記RL上で継続的に伝送される信号の前記FL上で受信される品質表示フィードバックに応答して、主RLパイロットが動的に制御される、請求項10に記載の方法。
