Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to acoustic technology, and more particularly to a speaker acoustic tube having narrow directivity and a horn-type speaker including the same.
Conventionally, a horn type speaker is well known as a speaker having directivity. The horn type speaker includes a front load horn type and a back load horn type. In the front horn type, an acoustic tube (horn) is provided in front of the speaker unit. Such an acoustic tube is an indirect radiator in which the diameter gradually increases from one end to the other end, and the diaphragm of the speaker unit has no air leakage with respect to the small diameter portion (throat portion) of the one end. It is attached.
And according to this type of horn type speaker, by driving a speaker unit fixed to the throat portion of the acoustic tube, the air in the acoustic tube is moved and the sound wave is efficiently emitted from the tip opening to the air. Can do.
However, the playback band and directivity are limited by the acoustic tube, and an acoustic tube with a large length and a low rate of expansion will expand the playback band and output low sound, but the overall size will increase and the acoustic tube will be shortened. Then, strong directivity (narrow directivity) cannot be obtained.
Here, as a speaker having directivity different from that of the horn type, a plurality of sound-absorbing panels are arranged in front of the speaker unit at predetermined intervals so that each plate surface is parallel to the sound wave radiation direction by the speaker unit. A provided speaker device is known (for example, Patent Document 1).
Further, as a horn type speaker having narrow directivity, an acoustic tube (horn-shaped baffle) is formed with an escape hole for releasing sound to the outside, and the escape hole is covered from the outside with a sound absorbing material such as glass wool ( For example, Patent Document 2).
However, according to the speaker of Patent Document 1, the number of times that the sound wave component deviating from the central axis passes through the sound absorbing panel is larger than the sound wave component propagating on the central axis of the speaker unit. Although sound components off the axis can be attenuated to increase directivity (narrow directivity), most of the sound components radiated from the speaker unit onto the central axis are also inside each sound absorbing panel from inside. Therefore, the sound pressure level in front of the speaker is greatly reduced.
On the other hand, in Patent Document 2, since the escape hole is formed in the peripheral surface portion of the acoustic tube (horn-shaped baffle), the acoustic tube is blown out in the circumferential direction, and the compression force of the air is reduced. End up. For this reason, even if patent document 2 can strengthen directivity, there exists a fault that the sound pressure level in front of a speaker falls significantly.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and its purpose is to provide a high-efficiency acoustic tube capable of enhancing directivity without using a sound absorbing material and a horn-type speaker equipped with the same. It is to provide.

Furthermore, the
According to the present invention, a rough surface having an arithmetic mean roughness Ra of 180 μm to 10 mm is formed on the inner surface of the acoustic tube, so that the inner surface of the acoustic tube has a smooth surface having an arithmetic average roughness Ra of 180 μm or less. The directivity can be increased without changing the length of the acoustic tube.
Further, since no sound absorbing material is used, sound can be radiated into the external air with high efficiency without greatly reducing the sound pressure level.
Therefore, in a horn type speaker equipped with such an acoustic tube, a desired sound field is formed only in the vicinity of a listener located in a predetermined direction (front), for example, installed on the side of a desktop PC for personal use. Assuming an enjoyable listening style, it is possible to enjoy music while taking into account noise to the surroundings when compared to other speakers. Moreover, since the crosstalk can be reduced during the two-channel stereo reproduction, the sense of localization of the sound image is improved.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a
In this example, the
On the other hand, 12 is a cabinet (speaker housing) continuous to the
Here, according to the horn-
FIG. 3 is a polar pattern graph showing the directivity (2 kHz) of the
As apparent from FIG. 3, according to the
(Comparative Example 1)
A comparative horn-type speaker C1 was prototyped using the same speaker unit as the horn-
(Comparative Example 2)
A horn type speaker C2 which is different from the horn type speaker C1 of the comparative example 1 only in the length of the acoustic tube (about 200 mm, which is about twice) was made as an experiment. FIG. 5 is a polar pattern graph showing the directivity (2 kHz). As is apparent from this figure, the horn type speaker C2 of the comparative example 2 has a dip near 155 degrees to the left and right (155 degrees and 205 degrees in the clockwise direction) and is more than the horn type speaker C1 of the comparative example 1. Although it is recognized that it has strong directivity, the sound pressure level at the dip point is about −18 dB, and the directivity is weaker than that of the
(Comparative Example 3)
On the inner surface side of the acoustic tube of the horn type speaker C1 of Comparative Example 1 (the inner surface on the left side in the front direction), polishing paper # 80 (surface roughness is arithmetic mean roughness Ra) defined by JIS (R6252). 180 μm and a maximum height Ry of 300 μm) were attached to obtain a comparative horn type speaker C3. FIG. 6 is a polar pattern graph showing the directivity (2 kHz). As is apparent from this figure, the horn type speaker C3 of Comparative Example 3 has a dip around 60 degrees to the left (300 degrees in the clockwise direction), and thus the surface roughness of the inner surface of the acoustic tube. However, the sound pressure level at the dip point is about −15 dB, and a large difference in directivity compared to the horn type speaker C1 of Comparative Example 1 is not recognized.
From the above results, if the inner surface of the acoustic tube is a
Here, according to the horn type speaker according to the present invention, it has a narrow directivity as described above. Therefore, in 2-channel stereo reproduction, a listener can be heard from each speaker without performing signal processing for canceling crosstalk. The crosstalk component transmitted to both ears can be reduced, and as a result, the sense of localization of the sound image can be improved.
In addition, when the
As described above, the application example of the present invention has been described with reference to the drawings. However, the material of the acoustic tube is not limited to softwood, but wood such as hardwood and its plywood, plastics such as polystyrene resin, ABS resin, polycarbonate, aluminum, iron A metal plate such as can also be suitably used.
Further, if the rough surface portion has an arithmetic average roughness Ra of 180 μm to 10 mm, the rough surface portion may be applied to the entire inner surface of the acoustic tube or may be partially applied. In the case where it is provided, the dip point position on the directivity can be changed depending on the position.
Furthermore, in the above example, abrasive paper or other sheets are adhered to the inner surface of the acoustic tube to form a rough surface portion. However, when the acoustic tube is made of a plus chip or metal, the rough surface portion is formed on the inner surface by shot blasting or the like. It can also be formed integrally.
