Description

The present invention relates to a sheet-like recording medium crushing device incorporating an image reading device, a shredder device, and a storage device.

In recent years, with the progress of OA, paper documents that have been stored conventionally have been digitized for the purpose of reducing storage space, sharing information, and facilitating search. These paper documents are discarded after being read and digitized by a scanner. However, among paper documents, confidential documents need to be disposed of while maintaining confidentiality. Therefore, cutting and discarding and dissolution processing using a shredder are performed separately.
Patent Documents 1 and 2 describe an apparatus that automatically cuts and discards a document after the contents of the description are read and digitized by a scanner. Further, Patent Documents 3 to 5 describe an apparatus that allows the contents of a paper document that has been accidentally cut and discarded to be referred to later.
In the shredder device described in FIG. 1 of Patent Document 1, a CCD line sensor 19 for the front surface and a CCD line sensor 21 for the back surface are provided between the paper feed roller pair 17 and the cutter rotor 23, and are stacked from the paper feed table 13. A delivery roller 15 is provided for separating and conveying the paper sheets P one by one.
The conveyed paper sheet P is cut by the cutter rotor 23 after an image is read by the CCD line sensors 19 and 21.
The read image or the identification code detected from the read image is stored in a hard disk drive built in the apparatus or transmitted by communication means, and the process ends.
As described above, each of the devices described in Patent Documents 1 to 5 basically has a configuration in which a sheet-feed type scanner and a shredder are combined together.

When the CCD line sensors 19 and 21 and the cutter rotor 23 are arranged close to each other as in the shredder device described in FIG. 1 of Patent Document 1, the latter half of the paper sheet P at the start of cutting of the paper sheet P. Is still being read by the CCD line sensors 19, 21. At this time, if the paper sheet P is difficult to cut, the drawing speed by the cutter rotor 23 becomes slower than the feeding speed of the feed roller 15 and the pair of paper feed rollers 17, and the paper between the cutter rotor 23 and the CCD line sensors 19, 21. The leaves P are curved and cause a paper jam.
On the contrary, if the paper sheet P is easy to cut, the drawing speed by the cutter rotor 23 becomes faster than the feed speed of the feed roller 15 and the pair of paper feed rollers 17, and the latter half of the paper sheet P at a speed faster than a predetermined feed speed. The portion passes through the CCD line sensors 19 and 21, and the acquired image is distorted.
Such a problem occurs after the interval between the CCD line sensors 19 and 21 and the cutter rotor 23 is set wide, and the paper sheet P passes through the CCD line sensors 19 and 21 and is further released from the image reading conveyance mechanism. If the buffer section is provided between the image reading conveyance mechanism and the conveyance mechanism to the cutter rotor 23 so as to be conveyed to the cutter rotor 23, the problem is solved.
However, as shown in the shredder device described in FIG. 8 of Patent Document 1, when the image reading conveyance mechanism, the buffer section, and the conveyance mechanism to the cutter rotor 23 are sequentially arranged in series, there is a problem that the apparatus becomes large. .
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to solve the problem of paper jam and read image deterioration caused by the difference between the document feed speed of the scanner section and the cutting speed of the cutting section in a shredder incorporating a scanner while suppressing the enlargement of the apparatus. I have to.

There is no paper jam or read image deterioration caused by the difference between the document feed speed and the cutting speed of the cutting section. In addition, since the conveyance direction is reversed between the conveyance path provided for image reading and the conveyance path provided for cutting, a small sheet-like recording medium crushing apparatus can be provided.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail.
The first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIGS. 1-6 is a schematic block diagram of the sheet-like recording medium crushing apparatus in this embodiment.
In the upper part of the sheet-like recording medium crushing apparatus in the first embodiment, a charging port 102 for receiving the bundled sheet-like recording media P inside the apparatus is provided. A sheet feeding roller as a sheet feeder mechanism that separates and conveys a bundle of sheet-like recording media P one by one into the sheet-like recording medium crushing device downstream of the input port 102 in the conveying direction of the sheet-like recording medium P 115 and a pressing spring 108 are provided. On the downstream side of the paper feed roller 115 and the pressing spring 108 in the transport direction, the sheet-like recording medium P separated and transported one by one is received, and the transport direction is changed from transport in the obliquely downward direction to transport in the obliquely upward direction. A U-shaped first transport unit 105 (first transport path) is provided. In the middle of the first transport unit 105, the first transport unit 105 is positioned at a substantially horizontal position so that the transport path is sandwiched so that the image data on both sides of the sheet-like recording medium P can be read at once. A sensor 119 (detection means) and a line sensor 121 (detection means) are provided. A discharge roller 117 that discharges the sheet-like recording medium P from the first conveyance unit 105 is provided at the end (exit) of the first conveyance unit 105.

A temporary storage unit 106 that is inclined upward to receive the sheet-like recording medium P discharged obliquely upward from the discharge roller 117 is provided ahead of the discharge roller 117, that is, downstream in the transport direction. The temporary storage unit 106 temporarily stores the sheet-like recording medium P in order to prevent cutting by a cutting roller 123 (to be described later) during image reading by the line sensor 119 and the line sensor 121. This is a part for storing the sheet-like recording medium P. The sheet-like recording medium P discharged obliquely upward from the discharge roller 117 is seated on the temporary storage unit 106, and after the rear end Pb passes through the discharge roller 117, the transport direction is reversed, and the sheet recording medium P is inclined downward from the rear end Pb. It is conveyed toward the cutting roller 123 in the direction.

Below the temporary storage unit 106, an auxiliary roller 109 that adjusts the conveyance speed of the sheet-like recording medium P, and a second conveyance unit 107 (the first conveyance unit 107) that guides the sheet-like recording medium P from the temporary storage unit 106 to the cutting roller 123. A second conveyance path) and a pair of cutting rollers 123 for cutting the sheet-like recording medium P are sequentially arranged. The auxiliary roller 109 and the cutting roller 123 are connected by a transmission belt 110, and both rollers rotate at a constant speed.
Below the cutting roller 123, a waste bin 125 for receiving the cutting waste D is provided, and the waste bin 125 is stored in the waste storage unit 104.
In the conveyance path of the sheet-like recording medium P, the paper feed roller 115 and the pressure spring 108 to the second conveyance unit 107 are covered with the shielding cover 103, and the fraud caused by a third party touching the sheet-like recording medium P being processed. The act is prevented. Further, a discharge port 111 for dropping the cutting waste D into the waste bin 125 is provided at the lower part of the shielding cover 103 located below the cutting roller 123.

The operation of the sheet-shaped recording medium crusher configured as described above will be described.
A plurality of sheet-like recording media P inserted in the insertion slot 102 are separated and conveyed one by one by the interaction of the pressing spring 108 and the paper feed roller 115 (FIG. 1).
The sheet-like recording medium P being conveyed advances along the first conveying unit 105 formed in a U-shape, and when the leading edge Pa of the sheet-like recording medium P reaches the line sensor 119 and the line sensor 121, image reading is performed. Be started. When further advanced, the leading edge Pa reaches the discharge roller 117, and the sheet-like recording medium P is simultaneously conveyed by both the paper feed roller 115 and the discharge roller 117. When the rear end Pb of the sheet-like recording medium P is separated from the paper feed roller 115, it is conveyed only by the discharge roller 117 (FIG. 2).
When the rear end Pb passes through the line sensor 119 and the line sensor 121, the image reading is finished. When the sheet is further conveyed and the rear end Pb reaches the discharge roller 117, the sheet-like recording medium P is separated from the discharge roller 117 and discharged to the temporary storage unit 106 (FIGS. 3 and 4).
The sheet-like recording medium P discharged to the temporary storage unit 106 falls obliquely downward along the second conveyance unit 107 by its own weight and the conveyance force of the auxiliary roller 109, and reaches the cutting roller 123 (FIG. 5). The cutting roller 123 cuts the sheet-like recording medium P while drawing it, and the cutting waste D falls into the waste bin (FIG. 6).
Note that immediately after the rear end Pb of the sheet-like recording medium P that has been transported first passes through the sheet feeding roller 115, the next sheet-like recording medium P is drawn into the sheet feeding roller 115 and overlaps the input port 102. The image reading, sheet discharge, and cutting are continuously repeated until the inserted sheet-like recording medium P is removed.

In the present embodiment, the shape of the first transport unit 105 has been described as being U-shaped. However, the sheet-like recording medium P transported obliquely downward may be changed to upward transport, and is not limited to the U-shape. It may be V-shaped. In short, any shape may be used as long as the intermediate portion is located below the both end portions of the first transport unit 105. In addition, the temporary storage unit 106, the auxiliary roller 109, the second transport unit 107, and the cutting roller 123 are arranged in a substantially straight line where the sheet-like recording medium P is drawn. The sheet shape recording medium P is not limited to a linear shape as long as the sheet-like recording medium P is conveyed to the roller 123 without causing a paper jam.
As described above, according to the present embodiment, a single sheet-like recording medium P straddles both the first transport unit 105 provided for image reading and the second transport unit 107 provided for cutting. Therefore, even if there is a difference between the two transport speeds, there is no problem such as paper jam or deterioration of the read image.
In addition, since the sheet-like recording medium P that has passed through the first transport unit 105 is reversed in the transport direction by the temporary storage unit 106 and passes through the second transport unit 107, the entire path can be kept compact and the size of the apparatus can be increased. Can be suppressed.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. The same parts as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description thereof is omitted.
In the present embodiment, the configuration in which the installation position of the pair of line sensors 119a and 121a is set immediately before the discharge roller 117, that is, the rear end of the first transport unit 105, and the upper part of the primary storage unit is curved, The configuration of the temporary storage unit 106a having the shape of “tsu” is characteristic.
A so-called shredder with a scanner is also used for the purpose of proving that the sheet-like recording medium P has been discarded. For example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2005-173811 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2005-190365 that remotely manage the disposal correspond to this. In this application, when processing such as image reading or cutting is started before the sheet-like recording medium P is completely taken into the sheet-like recording medium crushing apparatus, the sheet-like recording medium P is taken out from the apparatus main body. It may be a cause of fraud.

For example, in a document management system that manages a sheet recording medium P using an identification code written at the leading end of the sheet recording medium P, when the identification code is read as image information by a shredder with a scanner, In some cases, a proof of disposal has been issued for the sheet-like recording medium P on which the identification code is written. Under such a system, when a sheet-shaped recording medium crushing device in which the rear end Pb is exposed to the outside of the apparatus when reading of the leading edge Pa of the sheet-shaped recording medium P is started, the identification code is read. Later, it becomes possible to pull out the sheet-like recording medium P from the sheet-like recording medium crushing apparatus, and a processed certificate is issued even though the sheet-like recording medium P is not cut. The sheet-like recording medium P that should have been issued a proof of disposal is not actually discarded, and an illegal act such as taking out confidential information becomes possible.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 7, a sheet-like recording medium crushing apparatus that can prevent this fraudulent activity is provided by starting reading after the sheet-like recording medium P is drawn into the apparatus.
That is, FIG. 7 is a schematic configuration diagram of a sheet-like recording medium crusher according to the second embodiment of the present invention.
The pair of line sensor 119a and line sensor 121a according to the present embodiment is characterized in that it is provided at the rear end of the U-shaped first transport unit 105.

The operation of the sheet-shaped recording medium crusher in this embodiment will be described. A plurality of sheet-like recording media P inserted in the insertion slot 102 are separated and conveyed one by one by the interaction of the pressing spring 108 and the paper feed roller 115 (FIG. 1). The sheet-like recording medium P being conveyed advances along the first conveying unit 105 formed in a U-shape, and the rear end Pb of the sheet-like recording medium P is located inside the sheet-like recording medium crushing device from the input port 102. When reaching, the tip Pa reaches the line sensor 119a and the line sensor 121a, and image reading is started (FIG. 7). At this time, the sheet-like recording medium P is conveyed by the paper feed roller 115. When the reading of the sheet-shaped recording medium P is completed and the rear end Pb reaches the discharge roller 117, the sheet-shaped recording medium P is separated from the discharge roller 117 and discharged to the temporary storage unit 106a.

Since the upper storage portion 106a has a substantially “T” shape in which the upper end portion is curved, the sheet-like recording medium P discharged from the discharge roller 117 has a “T” shape along the temporary storage portion 106a. It progresses while becoming a shape, and does not bend and collide with the shielding cover 103 to be wrinkled. Therefore, a paper jam does not occur inside the sheet-like recording medium crusher. Further, since the temporary storage unit 106a has a curved shape, the temporary storage unit can be a space-saving temporary storage unit than the temporary storage unit 106 in the first embodiment, and a more compact sheet-like recording medium crusher can be provided. It becomes.
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the positions of the line sensor 119 and the line sensor 121 are offset in the depth direction inside the apparatus so that reading can be started after the sheet-like recording medium P is drawn into the apparatus. In addition, it is possible to prevent a problem that a processed certificate is issued even though the sheet-like recording medium P is not cut, and an illegal act such as taking out confidential information.
Moreover, since the temporary storage part 106a was curved, the enlargement of the apparatus resulting from the space required for the temporary storage part can be suppressed.
