Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a computer program.
Text files, video files, music files, and the like recorded in an information processing apparatus such as a personal computer are often organized and stored in a hierarchical structure by a user of the information processing apparatus to facilitate classification. For example, prepare a folder for storing text files, a folder for storing video files, a folder for storing music files, etc., and create folders in these folders so that they have a hierarchical structure. By storing the data management becomes easy.
When playing back files that contain music and videos organized and stored in a hierarchical structure (hereinafter collectively referred to as “contents”), an application called a jukebox program is used. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1). The jukebox program displays a list of content on the screen, displays content for each content type (for example, for each song or video), or narrows and displays content belonging to a specific artist, album, or genre. Can be.
Recently, a content transfer system in which a small portable terminal is connected to an information processing apparatus and contents are exchanged between the portable terminal and the information processing apparatus has been widely spread. In such a content transfer system, content is exchanged using a jukebox program. In such a jukebox program, not only content stored in an information processing apparatus but also content stored in a mobile terminal is displayed. The content can be newly transferred to the mobile terminal using the jukebox program, or the content stored in the mobile terminal can be deleted. As a technique for facilitating data transfer between a plurality of storage devices, for example,
When an arbitrary file is transferred between a plurality of storage devices, such as when content is transferred from an information processing apparatus to a mobile terminal, a waiting time occurs in operations such as movement and duplication. At this time, if the user can work while checking how much of the remaining file can be transferred, the work efficiency is improved.
However, when files are transferred between a plurality of storage devices, format conversion suitable for the destination device may be performed prior to file transfer. When the file format is converted, the file capacity changes with the conversion. Therefore, there is a problem that it is not known how much of the remaining file can be transferred if the file transfer is not completed.
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a capacity and transfer after transfer before the content is transferred when the user designates the transfer candidate content. It is an object of the present invention to provide a new and improved information processing apparatus, information processing method, and computer program capable of grasping the free capacity of a later transfer destination storage in consideration of content format conversion.
In order to solve the above problems, according to an aspect of the present invention, an information processing apparatus that transmits content to a content storage device that stores content having content identification information, and sets a conversion method for the content to be transmitted A conversion setting unit, a storage unit that stores content having content identification information, a content specification unit that specifies content to be transmitted to the content storage device among stored content, and a content specification unit that specifies the content specified by the content specification unit A data size calculation unit that calculates the predicted data size of the content after transmission based on the conversion method set by the conversion setting unit, a capacity acquisition unit that acquires the current overall capacity and free capacity of the content storage device, and a capacity acquisition Total capacity, free space and data size calculation obtained by the department Based on Tasaizu, characterized in that it comprises a display control unit that performs capacity display of the content storage device, the information processing apparatus is provided.
According to such a configuration, the conversion setting unit sets the conversion method of the content to be transmitted, the storage unit stores the content having content identification information, and the content specifying unit among the contents stored in the storage unit is a content storage device To specify the content to send. Then, the data size calculation unit calculates the predicted data size of the content after transmission of the content specified by the content specification unit based on the conversion method set by the conversion setting unit, and the capacity acquisition unit calculates the current data size of the content storage device. The total capacity and the free capacity are acquired, and the display control unit displays the capacity of the content storage device based on the total capacity, the free capacity and the predicted data size calculated by the data size calculation unit acquired by the capacity acquisition unit. As a result, when the user designates a transmission candidate, before the content is actually transmitted to the content storage device, the capacity after the content is transmitted and the free space of the destination storage after the transmission are converted to the content format. It can be grasped after taking into consideration.
The data size calculation unit may calculate the predicted data size when the setting in the conversion setting unit changes. According to this configuration, the data size calculation unit calculates the predicted data size based on the set information when the setting in the conversion setting unit changes. As a result, it is possible to grasp the predicted data size before and after the change of setting without selecting the content again.
The conversion setting unit may set file format conversion or may set compression rate conversion. According to such a configuration, the conversion setting unit sets conversion of a file format and a compression rate when transmitting content to the content storage device. As a result, the predicted data size can be calculated in the data size calculator based on the setting in the conversion setting unit.
The data size calculation unit may recognize the model of the content storage device at the connection destination and perform capacity calculation based on the connection destination based on a conversion method that differs depending on the connection destination. According to this configuration, the data size calculation unit recognizes the model of the content storage device connected to the information processing device, and calculates the capacity based on the connection destination based on the conversion method that differs depending on the connection destination. As a result, the information processing apparatus can calculate the predicted data size in consideration of the case where the conversion method differs depending on the model or the conversion is not necessary.
The data size calculation unit may not add content having the same content at the transmission destination among the content specified by the content specification unit to the predicted data size. According to such a configuration, the data size calculation unit does not add content having the same content as the content specified by the content specification unit as the transmission destination to the predicted data size. As a result, content that does not require calculation of the predicted data size is excluded from the calculation target, and the predicted data size can be calculated more accurately.
The content designation unit may be able to designate content transmission in predetermined attribute units. According to such a configuration, the content designating unit designates transmission of content in a predetermined attribute unit, such as an album unit or a playlist unit. As a result, when content is selected in units of albums, playlists, etc., the predicted data size after content transmission can be calculated in units of these predetermined attributes.
The display control unit may display the predicted data size in an identifiable manner. According to this configuration, the display control unit displays the current capacity of the content storage device and the predicted data size after content transmission so as to be identifiable. As a result, the user can identify and grasp how far the current capacity of the content storage device is and how much is the predicted data size after content transmission.
It further includes a transmitting unit that transmits the content specified by the content specifying unit, and while the transmitting unit is transmitting content to the connected content storage device, content of another transmission candidate is specified by the content specifying unit In this case, the data size calculation unit may recalculate the predicted data size, and the display control unit may display the predicted data size so that the transmission unit can identify the data being transmitted. With this configuration, the data size calculation unit recalculates the predicted post-transfer data size of the other content specified by the content specification unit while the transmission unit is transmitting the content to the connected content storage device. Then, the display control unit displays the predicted data size calculated by the data size calculation unit so that the transmission unit can be distinguished from what is being transmitted. As a result, while the transmission unit is transmitting content to the content storage device, the predicted data size after transfer of the content specified by the content specifying unit is recalculated, and the user grasps the recalculated predicted data size. can do.
As a result of the calculation by the data size calculation unit, the display control unit may display an alert when the predicted data size of the content specified by the content specification unit exceeds the free capacity of the content storage device. According to such a configuration, the display control unit displays an alert when the predicted data size exceeds the free capacity of the content storage device. As a result, the user can grasp that all the content specified by the content specifying unit cannot be transmitted.
The display control unit may display the predicted data size and the free space numerically. According to this configuration, the display control unit displays the calculated predicted data size and free space numerically. As a result, the user can grasp the predicted data size and the free space after the content transmission by numerical values, which can be used for user content management.
In order to solve the above problem, according to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided an information processing method in an information processing apparatus for transmitting content to a content storage device in which content having content identification information is stored. As a result, when the user designates a transmission candidate, before the content is actually transmitted to the content storage device, the capacity after the content is transmitted and the free space of the destination storage after the transmission are converted to the content format. It can be grasped after taking into consideration.
In order to solve the above problem, according to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a computer program to be executed by a computer that transmits content to a content storage device that stores content having content identification information.
FIG. 7 shows a screen displayed on the

FIG. 8 is a flowchart for explaining an overview of the capacity display method of the
First, the PC
Here, the information collected by the
When the information on the currently selected content is acquired in step S104, the post-transfer
In step S108, when the predicted data size after content transfer is displayed on the
The capacity display method for the
FIG. 9 is a flowchart for explaining the content information collecting method according to the embodiment of the present invention, and describes step S104 in FIG. 8 in detail. Hereinafter, a content information collecting method according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
First, the contents selected in the PC
Subsequently, for each of the listed contents, it is determined whether or not the same contents as the contents exist in the mobile terminal (step S116). Whether or not the same content exists in the
As a result of the determination in step S116, if it is determined that the same content does not exist in the
The determination process in step S116 is executed up to the end of the listed contents (step S120). When the determination process in step S116 is executed up to the end of the enumerated contents, the process ends.
The content information collection method according to the embodiment of the present invention has been described above with reference to FIG. Next, a method for adding the predicted data size after content transfer according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described.
FIG. 10 is a flowchart illustrating a method for adding the predicted data size after content transfer according to the embodiment of the present invention, and describes step S106 in FIG. 8 in detail. Hereinafter, a method for adding the predicted data size after content transfer according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
First, the post-transfer
Subsequently, for each of the listed contents, it is determined whether the contents are contents that require format conversion at the time of transfer (step S126). Whether or not the content requires format conversion is determined by determining whether or not the content is in a file format that can be played back on the
As a result of the determination in step S126, if the content requires format conversion at the time of transfer, the post-transfer
On the other hand, as a result of the determination in step S126, if the content does not require format conversion at the time of transfer, the current data size of the content is acquired (step S130).
Then, the post-transfer
The processes in steps S124 to S130 are executed up to the end of the listed contents (step S134). When the determination process in step S116 is executed up to the end of the enumerated contents, the process ends.
The method for adding the predicted data size after content transfer according to the embodiment of the present invention has been described above with reference to FIG. As described above, when the user designates the transfer candidate content using the
