すなわち、従来技術におけるように応力が1点に集中することはなく(応カ分散され)、強固な構成部材による高保持力の必要性は少なくなる。また強固な、つまり重い金属ブラケットや、ボルトあるいはナット等を用いる必要はなくなり、全体を合成樹脂で形成することも可能となって軽量化が図れる。

この場合、上記天井部14のスタッドボルト先端側部分が挿通する部分は、図7に示すスタッドボルト支持部分71として機能しない。したがって、例えば図中左側の継ぎ手固定枠部11にねじ締付けモーメント(矢印エ参照)が作用した場合には、右側の継ぎ手固定枠部11の底面部分73の1点のみでその応力が支持されることになり、スタッドボルト先端側部分との遊びの殆どない対向面部、本実施形態では丸孔17(図7参照)の存在が重要であることが分かる。

各々継ぎ手を固定する左右の継ぎ手固定枠部と、この左右の継ぎ手固定枠部相互間に位置して両継ぎ手固定枠部と一体をなす連結部とを備えてなる管体継ぎ手用クランプであって、
前記連結部は、
クランプ取付面から突出するねじ軸を底部から天井部に向けて挿通させる中空部と、
この中空部の内壁の相反する位置から各々天井部方向に先端が延出して、前記中空部に挿通された前記ねじ軸のねじ部に両側方から係合する、弾性を有する少なくとも一対の係止爪と、
天井部に設けられ、前記中空部に挿通された前記ねじ軸の先端側部分を左右両側から挟持するように挿通させるねじ軸先端側支持用の対向面部とを備えてなり、
前記ねじ軸を介して前記クランプ取付面に位置決め固定された状態で少なくとも前記左右の継ぎ手固定枠部の各底面が前記クランプ取付面と接触するように形成されたことを特徴とする管体継ぎ手用クランプ。
