Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to time series prediction for predicting a change in state over time for control or monitoring of an arbitrary system to be controlled or monitored.
In recent years, with the miniaturization and performance improvement of computers, computer simulation has been widely used in various fields. A typical example of such a field is to predict (time-series prediction) the state change (time-dependent state change) of the prediction target system by the field of control and monitoring, that is, computer simulation, and based on the prediction result There is a field of control and monitoring. For example, control and monitoring of manufacturing processes, control of energy supply systems such as electric power, or control of air conditioning systems.
In the control of the manufacturing process, the state change of the manufacturing process is predicted by computer simulation, and the manufacturing process is controlled and monitored based on the prediction result. In such a field, the control target system is the prediction target system. On the other hand, in the control of the energy supply system and the control of the air conditioning system, etc., the system to be acted upon by the energy supply system and the air conditioning system (in the case of the energy supply system, in the case of the energy consumption system and the air conditioning system) If there is, the state change is predicted by computer simulation for the system to be air-conditioned, and the energy supply system and air-conditioning system, which are working systems, are controlled using the predicted value obtained by the prediction as a target value. In such a field, the target system in which the control target system acts as the action system is the monitoring target system, and the monitoring target system is the prediction target system.
Many examples of techniques related to time series prediction by computer simulation as described above are known as disclosed in, for example,
In time series prediction by computer simulation as described above, model-based prediction or performance-based prediction is generally used. Here, model-based prediction is a method of creating a mathematical model for a prediction target system and performing prediction using the mathematical model. On the other hand, performance-based prediction is a method of performing prediction based on performance data configured as a collection of various data collected regarding state changes in the past of the target system, such as memory-based reasoning, case-based reasoning, Neuro prediction is used.
These model-based predictions and performance-based predictions are used according to the characteristics of the prediction target system, etc., but depending on the structure of the prediction target system, does the weak point of the prediction, that is, whether the prediction accuracy significantly decreases within the prediction range? Or, there may be a part where an effective prediction cannot be made. If there is such a prediction weak point portion, for example, if prediction is used for control, it is unavoidable that a partial decrease in control accuracy is unavoidable, or based on prediction in order to avoid a decrease in control accuracy It is necessary to combine partial manual control with automatic control.
The present invention has been made in the background of the circumstances as described above, and its problem is that time series can always be predicted with high accuracy over the entire prediction range regardless of the structure of the prediction target system. To provide a prediction system.
Attention is paid to the respective characteristics regarding the above-mentioned prediction weak points in model-based prediction and performance-based prediction. Since model-based prediction uses a mathematical model created for the prediction target system, predictions with high accuracy can be made for parts where the change in the prediction target system is linear (or stationary) without much influence from disturbance. However, the prediction accuracy of the non-linear (or non-stationary) portion is greatly reduced or effective prediction cannot be performed.
On the other hand, although performance-based prediction can stably perform prediction with high accuracy regardless of whether it is linear or non-linear, when the performance data is insufficient, the prediction accuracy is partially reduced, Or it becomes impossible to make effective predictions, and it becomes unstable due to the influence of disturbances.
From these characteristics of the model-based prediction and the performance-based prediction regarding the prediction weakness, it can be said that the prediction weaknesses of both are in a complementary relationship. Therefore, by combining the model-based prediction and the performance-based prediction in a complementary manner, it is possible to always perform prediction with high accuracy over the entire prediction range regardless of the structure of the prediction target system.
The present invention solves the above problems based on the above knowledge. Specifically, the time series prediction system according to the present invention is a model base that generates a first prediction value by prediction using a model related to the prediction target system for predicting a state change with time in an arbitrary prediction target system. A prediction unit, a performance-based prediction unit that generates a second predicted value by prediction based on performance data configured as a set of data collected regarding the state change in the past of the prediction target system, and the first and second An effective predicted value generation unit for generating an effective predicted value in the prediction of the state change by combining the predicted values is provided.
In this time series prediction system, model-based prediction by the model-based prediction unit and performance-based prediction by the performance-based prediction unit can be performed in parallel, and predictions by these prediction units are complementarily combined by the effective prediction value generation unit. Thus, the prediction is made by the effective prediction value obtained by the effective prediction value generation unit. For this reason, regardless of the structure of the prediction target system, it is possible to always perform prediction with high accuracy over the entire prediction range.
In a preferred embodiment, the effective predicted value generation unit in the time series prediction system as described above compares the first and second predicted values with the actual state value of the prediction target system, and sets the comparison result in advance. The predicted value threshold value can be determined, and the difference between the first predicted value and the actual state value exceeds the predicted value threshold value instead of the first predicted value. Instead of the second predicted value as the effective predicted value, or on the condition that the difference between the second predicted value and the actual state value exceeds the predicted value threshold, The first predicted value is configured as the effective predicted value. By adopting such a configuration, it is possible to more stably perform prediction with high accuracy over the entire prediction range.
Moreover, it is preferable to use what was classified and collected for every explanatory variable previously designated about the said prediction object system as performance data in the above time series prediction systems. By doing in this way, the precision of the prediction by a performance base prediction part can be improved.
Moreover, it is preferable to use what was collected in relation to the time slot | zone set about the period of the said prediction object system as performance data in the above time series prediction systems. Also by doing in this way, the accuracy of prediction by the performance-based prediction unit can be improved.
According to the present invention as described above, prediction with high accuracy is always possible over the entire prediction range regardless of the structure of the prediction target system.
Hereinafter, modes for carrying out the present invention will be described. FIG. 1 schematically shows the configuration of a time
The data collection unit 3 collects various prediction target system actual data from the
The performance data storage unit 4 stores various types of prediction target system actual data collected by the data collection unit 3 or the prediction target system actual data already collected for the
As described above, the performance data can be related to the time section by classifying and managing the performance data by the explanatory variables, and in particular by including the time zone in the explanatory variables. This makes it possible to evaluate the performance data in terms of time in prediction based on performance-based prediction as will be described later in the performance-based
The model
The performance-based
The actual
The
The predicted
The effective predicted
The
The
The
For such selection, a selection criterion is required for the case where neither of the first and second predicted values exceeds the predicted value threshold for the difference from the actual state value. The selection criterion is given by setting one of the predictions by the model-based and performance-based
In the time
Below, the example in the case of applying the time
The batch type polymer polymerization process includes a
In the time

FIG. 4 shows an example of performance data stored in the performance data storage unit 4 in the time
Next, a second embodiment will be described. FIG. 5 schematically shows the configuration of the time
As mentioned above, although the form for implementing this invention was demonstrated, this is only a typical example, This invention can be implemented with a various form in the range which does not deviate from the meaning.
