Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a coil antenna, and more particularly to a coil antenna whose inductance can be finely adjusted with a simple structure, and an electronic device including the coil antenna.
In recent years, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology such as electronic money attached to a mobile terminal such as a mobile phone is a technology for communicating with a data reader using electromagnetic induction at 13.56 MHz. In this system, an IC chip capable of storing a large amount of information and a planar conductive coating that is electrically connected to the IC chip and transmits and receives information are mounted on a plastic substrate or the like. An IC card or the like is used.
When this IC card is brought close to the reader by a predetermined distance, radio waves of a predetermined frequency generated by the reader are received by the antenna, and the stored information of the IC chip is transmitted to the reader via the antenna according to the radio waves. . In addition, update information from the reader is also transmitted to the IC chip via the antenna, and the storage information of the IC chip is updated.
For this purpose, the following two basic principles are mainly used.
1: Electromagnetic induction using a coil.
2: Resonance by a parallel connection circuit of a coil and a capacitor is generated at 13.56 MHz.
In this circuit configuration, an IC is connected to a circuit in which a coil and a capacitor are connected in parallel. However, on an actual product, the resonance frequency may be shifted due to variations in the inductance of the coil and the capacitance of the capacitor. As a means for solving this shift in resonance frequency, fine adjustment of the inductance of the coil or the capacitance of the capacitor can be mentioned.
As a means for finely adjusting the inductance of the coil, for example, Patent Document 1 describes a module in which a magnetic material is disposed on one of the projection plane sides of the coil. This has the aim of increasing the Q (Quality factor) by increasing the inductance by arranging a magnetic body in the coil.
There has also been a proposal (see Patent Document 3) that incorporates both features.
However, in the method described in Patent Document 1, since the number of parts increases, there is a possibility that the size cannot be reduced.
Further, in the method described in
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a coil antenna having a simple structure and capable of fine adjustment of inductance without increasing the number of parts.
The coil antenna according to claim 1 of the present invention includes a plurality of insulated wires in which a conductor is covered with a resin, a collective electric wire covered with an outer sheath, and ends of the insulated wires at both ends of the collective electric wire. And at least a substrate having a terminal portion electrically connected to each other, and the insulating wires are exposed from the outer sheath of the collective electric wires, respectively, branched, and independent without crossing the terminals. The insulating wire is not supported by the substrate between the position where the insulating wire is exposed and one side of the substrate, and is viewed from above the one surface of the substrate. An opening is present between each of the insulated wires.
A coil antenna according to a second aspect of the present invention is the coil antenna according to the first aspect, characterized in that the longitudinal directions of the insulated wires are arranged in parallel to each other.
A coil antenna according to a third aspect of the present invention is the coil antenna according to the second aspect, wherein the terminal portions are arranged in parallel to each other.
The coil antenna according to
An electronic apparatus according to a fifth aspect of the present invention is characterized in that the coil antenna according to any one of the first to fourth aspects is mounted.
The coil antenna according to the present invention includes a plurality of insulated wires in which a conductor is coated with a resin, a collective wire covered with a jacket, and each end portion of the insulated wire is electrically connected to both ends of the collective wire. And at least a substrate having a terminal portion connected to the surface, and the insulated wires are exposed from the outer sheath of the collective electric wire, respectively branched, and are electrically isolated from the terminal portion without being mixed. Each of the insulated wires is connected to each other and is not supported by the substrate from a position where the insulated wire is exposed to one side of the substrate, and viewed from above one surface of the substrate. There are openings between them.
According to such a configuration, it is possible to control and provide the individual openings existing between the insulated wires so that the sizes of the individual openings become a desired value. Therefore, the inductance of the coil antenna can be changed by controlling the size of the opening. Therefore, even if there is a variation in the inductance of the coil antenna, fine adjustment is possible. Therefore, according to the present invention, fine adjustment of the resonance frequency in the LC resonance circuit can be easily performed by adjusting the inductance by controlling the area of the opening of the insulated wire. The rate can be improved.
In addition, the fine adjustment of the inductance does not require other parts as described above, so that the number of parts does not increase. Therefore, the coil antenna can be reduced in size without increasing the cost, and as a result, the electronic device or the like equipped with the coil antenna can be reduced in size.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and various modifications can be made without departing from the gist of the present invention.
FIG. 1 is a diagram schematically illustrating an example of a coil antenna according to the present invention. FIG. 1 (a) is a plan view of the coil antenna, and FIG. 1 (b) is a diagram of the collective wire in FIG. 1 (a). It is MM sectional drawing in a longitudinal direction.

Further, the shape of the substrate 1 may be a flat surface or a curved surface. Moreover, it is not limited to a plate-like quadrangle as shown in FIG. 1, and may be a polygon having a concavo-convex portion, a curved portion, or the like.

The

In addition, since the
After the

Next, it processed so that the area of the
From FIG. 2, it was observed that the inductance increases and decreases when the area of the opening between the insulated wires changes. It was also observed that the inductance increased as the area of the opening between the insulated wires decreased. Further, the relationship between the area of the opening between the insulated wires and the amount of change in inductance was linear as shown by the line segment indicated by P in FIG. In particular, when the area reduction in the opening between the insulated wires is in the range of 1.55 mm 2 to 3.45 mm 2 , the increase / decrease in inductance may be included in the range of dotted lines indicated by Q and R in FIG. Observed. In FIG. 2, the slopes of the line segments indicated by Q and R are the same as the line segment indicated by P.
In addition, the maximum amount of change in inductance obtained by adjusting the area of the opening between the insulated wires was about 0.01 μH.
If the capacitor is used without fine adjustment in the LC resonance circuit, the required characteristic of the coil is an inductance ± 1%, and specifically, for example, 1.60 ± 0.02 μH depending on the product to be applied. It is.
For this reason, by performing fine adjustment of the inductance, for example, it is possible to control the inductance of a product that is not within the standard value and keep it within the standard. Therefore, in the present invention, in the terminal processing of the soldered portion of the collective electric wire that forms the antenna, the inductance can be finely adjusted by adjusting the area of the opening between the insulated wires, thereby reducing the number of defects. Become.
The present invention can be applied to a coil antenna used for reading and writing information related to RFID technology represented by electronic money of a mobile phone. According to the present invention, the fine adjustment of the inductance of the coil antenna can be easily performed, and the resonance frequency in the LC resonance circuit using the inductor and the capacitor can be finely adjusted.
