Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bush cutter settling collision of scatters such as small stones to an operator, especially to the upper part of the body and the face, preventing contact of a scatter prevention guard to obstacles or the like, and capable of easily corresponding to working conditions and continuing works without stopping. <P>SOLUTION: The bush cutter with a rail type dust proof guard is a bush cutter equipped with a rotary blade at the tip end of a main shaft having an operation handle, wherein the body upper part and the face can be protected from the scatters by interception between the rotary blade and the operator with a guard plate sliding on a rail attached on the main shaft and formed of a metal such as aluminium, and the guard plate uses a clear panel of good visibility, can be easily moved longitudinally and can be folded to be stored if required. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT

Description

  The present invention relates to a brush cutter with a rail type dust guard that protects an operator from scattered objects such as grass and pebbles during mowing work by a brush cutter.

In the conventional brush cutter, the anti-scatter cover is connected to the middle of the main shaft of the brush cutter through a mounting member for the purpose of preventing direct impact of the scattered objects on the operator. An invention that can move in a direction is known (Patent Document 1). Further, an invention is known in which a protective cover that covers the upper surface of the rear portion of the rotary blade can change the angle with respect to the main shaft (Patent Document 2).

Therefore, there are the following problems.
(B) Depending on the state of the work site, standing trees may hit the scattering prevention cover, making it difficult for the cover to break or work. Therefore, when changing the position of the scattering prevention cover, it was necessary to interrupt the work.

  In a brush cutter provided with a rotary blade at the tip of a main shaft having an operation handle, a plate-like plate having a transparency that is vertically fixed to a rail portion made of metal such as aluminum attached to the main shaft and a guard base that slides on the rail. In these drawings, 7 is an engine, 4 is a rotary blade, 3 is a main shaft, 1 is a handle, 5 is an existing anti-scatter cover, and the above are known components of a brush cutter.

(B) The guard fixing base 8 is passed through the rail 6 fixed by the stopper 13 and the rail receiver 14 shown in FIG. 7 in the middle of the main shaft 3 of the brush cutter 16, and the hinge 15 of the guard frame 17 shown in FIG. 8 is fixed to the hole 25 of the guard fixing plate 22 with the guard plate fixing screw 10. The rail 6 is formed of a metal such as aluminum and has a U-shaped cross section and an upper side. The lower portion of the guard fixing base 8 is a frame formed of a metal such as aluminum. A U-shaped base made of a synthetic resin is coupled to a hinge 15 and a guard fixing screw hole and a slide stop hole are provided at the top. In this configuration, a puller used at the time of moving the guard frame 17 is provided at the rear part.
(B) The guard frame 17 shown in FIG. 4 is formed of synthetic resin or the like and divided into three-plane frames. The center frame is inserted into the guard fixing base 8 and fixed. The frames on both sides can be folded inward as shown in FIG. The guard frame 17 is opened by the spring 27 during use. When stored, it can be folded by the opening stopper 26. As shown in FIG. 5, the guard frame 17 has a panel insertion portion 23 and is configured to insert the transparent panel 21 formed of hard vinyl chloride or the like from above, so that it is easy to replace the transparent panel 21.
(C) As shown in FIG. 6, the rail support 14 and the guard fixing base 8 are connected to the inside of the rail 6 by the spring 12, and the guard fixing base 8 is guided to the front portion of the rail 6. The bottom of the rail 6 has slide stop holes 24b at regular intervals, and is configured to be fixed by inserting the slide stop 11 where necessary.

Claims (3)

  In a brush cutter in which a rotary blade is provided at the tip of a main shaft having an operation handle, a plate-like plate having a see-through property that is vertically fixed to a rail portion made of metal such as aluminum on the upper side of the main shaft and a base of a guard that slides on the rail. A brush cutter with a rail-type dust-proof guard, characterized by a splash-proof guard.   By connecting the rail front part and the guard base by providing a spring on the rail part, the guard part can be easily moved back and forth according to the situation at the work site, and can be stored through the guard part. 2. A brush cutter with a rail-type dust guard according to claim 1, wherein the brush cutter is configured as described above.   The brush cutter with a rail-type dustproof guard according to claim 1, wherein the scattering prevention guard is a plate-like hard vinyl chloride having transparency in the frame portion of the synthetic resin.
