Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner provided with a cyclone dust collecting device that centrifuges dust by swirling sucked air in a dust collecting container, and more particularly to a technique for detecting the amount of dust in the dust collecting container. Is.
Therefore, conventionally, the vacuum cleaner is provided with means for detecting the amount of dust in the dust collecting container. For example, a vacuum cleaner disclosed in Patent Document 1 includes an optical sensor having a light emitting unit and a light receiving unit arranged with a dust collecting container in which dust is stored. The optical sensor is disposed at an upper limit position for detecting that the dust collecting container is full.
Here, the optical sensor determines whether or not the light emitted from the light emitting unit is received by the light receiving unit. Specifically, the light receiving unit determines whether or not the intensity of the received light is equal to or lower than a preset threshold value. When the intensity is equal to or lower than the threshold value, the light emitted from the light emitting unit is blocked. Judge that
In the vacuum cleaner, it is detected whether or not a predetermined amount of dust is accumulated in the dust collecting container based on the detection result of the optical sensor. For example, when the detection result that the light emitted from the light emitting unit is blocked is obtained, it is determined that the dust has reached the upper limit position.
However, in the electric vacuum cleaner, an index for determining whether or not the dust in the dust collecting container has reached the upper limit position is limited to a determination result of whether or not light is blocked by the optical sensor. That is, the presence / absence of dust at the upper limit position can be determined only with a threshold value defined by the specifications of the optical sensor. For this reason, it is not possible to flexibly cope with, for example, a case where the light transmission characteristics are different for each dust collection container or a manufacturing error occurs. In addition, when the vacuum cleaner is used, when the dust collection container is scratched or soiled, the light transmission characteristics of the dust collection container cannot be changed.
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a vacuum cleaner that can flexibly determine whether or not the dust in the dust collecting container has reached the upper limit position. Is to provide.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a dust collecting container for storing dust centrifuged from the air by swirling the sucked air, and a preset upper limit position of the dust collecting container from the outside. A light emitting means for emitting light; and a light receiving means for receiving the light emitted from the light emitting means and transmitted through the dust collecting container, and detects the intensity of the light transmitted through the upper limit position of the dust collecting container. An electrical intensity detector comprising: a light intensity detecting means; and a dust upper limit detecting means for detecting whether or not dust accumulated in the dust collecting container has reached the upper limit position based on a detection result by the light intensity detecting means. Applies to vacuum cleaners. The light used in the light intensity detecting means includes various kinds of light such as infrared light and visible light.
The vacuum cleaner according to the present invention has light-frequency conversion output means for converting the light intensity received by the light receiving means into a signal having a frequency corresponding to the intensity, and outputting the light intensity detection means. The dust upper limit detecting means detects whether the dust accumulated in the dust collecting container has reached the upper limit position based on the frequency of the signal output from the light-frequency conversion output means. It is comprised as a vacuum cleaner characterized by comprising.
In the thus configured vacuum cleaner according to the present invention, the dust upper limit detection means flexibly determines whether or not the dust in the dust collecting container has reached the upper limit position based on the frequency of the signal. can do.
Specifically, the dust upper limit detecting means is configured to collect dust collected in the dust collecting container on condition that the frequency of the signal output from the light-frequency conversion output means is equal to or lower than a preset lower limit frequency. It is conceivable that it detects that the upper limit position has been reached.
Here, the lower limit frequency is the frequency of the signal output from the light-frequency conversion output means when the dust collecting container in which dust is not collected is targeted for detection in the manufacturing process of the vacuum cleaner. It is desirable to set it accordingly.
As a result, even if there is a difference in the light transmission characteristics of each dust collection container mounted on the vacuum cleaner, the lower limit frequency set according to the light transmission characteristics of each dust collection container is used as the determination index. Therefore, it is possible to determine whether the dust in the dust collecting container has reached the upper limit position with high accuracy by the dust upper limit detection means.
By the way, as the vacuum cleaner is used, scratches or dirt may adhere to the dust collection container, and the light transmission characteristics of the dust collection container may change.
Therefore, it is desirable to further include lower limit frequency changing means for changing the lower limit frequency. Thereby, when the light transmission characteristic of the dust collecting container changes, the high detection accuracy can be maintained by changing the lower limit frequency following the change.
In the vacuum cleaner, it is also possible to detect the removal of the dust collecting container on the condition that the frequency of the signal output from the light-frequency conversion output means is equal to or higher than a preset upper limit frequency. It is.
According to the present invention, the dust upper limit detecting means can flexibly determine whether or not the dust in the dust collecting container has reached the upper limit position based on the frequency of the signal. Moreover, even if there is a difference in light transmission characteristics for each dust collection container mounted on the vacuum cleaner, the lower limit frequency can be set according to the light transmission characteristics of each dust collection container. Further, by further providing a lower limit frequency changing means for changing the lower limit frequency, when the light transmission characteristic of the dust collecting container is changed, the lower limit frequency can be changed following the change. , High detection accuracy can be maintained.

The
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 5A, the filter

As described above, the

The
The
具体的に,前記光−周波数コンバータを有する受光素子としては,TAOS(Texas Advanced Optoelectronic Solutions Inc.)製のもの(型番TSL245R)が知られている。

As described above, since the vacuum cleaner X uses the
The frequency signal output from the light-frequency converter (not shown) of the

First, in the manufacturing process of the vacuum cleaner X and the like, the control device Z corresponds to the intensity of light detected by the
Here, it is assumed that the frequency of the frequency signal output from the
Thus, it is desirable that the dust detection frequency F1 in the electric vacuum cleaner X is set according to the initial frequency F0 detected by the electric vacuum cleaner X. Accordingly, it is possible to set the appropriate dust detection frequency F1 for each vacuum cleaner X in consideration of the difference in light transmission characteristics of the
In the electric vacuum cleaner X, in the dust collection operation control process (the flowchart of FIG. 8) executed by the controller Z, the dust collection container based on the dust detection frequency F1 after the dust collection operation is finished. The amount of dust in 11 is detected.
At this time, when it is determined whether or not the dust in the
Hereinafter, an example of the procedure of the dust collection operation control process executed by the control device Z in the electric vacuum cleaner X will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG. In the figure, S1, S2,... Represent processing procedure (step) numbers.
(Steps S1 and S2)
First, in step S1, the control device Z determines whether or not the start of the dust collecting operation of the electric vacuum cleaner X is requested. Specifically, the control device Z determines whether or not a user operation for starting the dust collecting operation has been performed. For example, it is determined whether or not a start button (not shown) provided on the operation handle 5 is pressed.
Here, if it is determined by the control device Z that the start of the dust collecting operation is requested (Yes side of S1), the process proceeds to step S2 and the dust collecting operation is started. In the dust collection operation, the electric blower V (not shown) is operated to suck air from the
(Steps S3 to S4)
Next, in step S3, the control device Z determines whether or not the end of the dust collection operation of the electric vacuum cleaner X has been requested. Specifically, the control device Z determines whether or not a user operation for ending the dust collection operation has been performed. For example, it is determined whether or not a stop button (not shown) provided on the operation handle 5 (for example, also used as the start button) is pressed.
Here, if it is determined by the control device Z that the end of the dust collecting operation is requested (Yes side of S3), the process proceeds to step S4, and the dust collecting operation is ended. Specifically, the dust collecting operation is terminated by stopping the electric blower V (not shown). Note that while the control device Z determines that the end of the dust collection operation is not requested, the process stands by in step S3, and the dust collection operation is continued (No side of S3).
When the dust collection operation is completed, in the subsequent steps S5 to S16, the dust accumulated in the
In the present embodiment, the processing in steps S5 to S16 described later is described as an example after the dust collection operation is completed. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and execution of the detection process before the start of the dust collection operation or during the execution of the dust collection operation can be considered as another embodiment. Further, the dust amount detection process may be executed both before and after the dust collection operation. If it is detected that the dust in the
Further, when the vacuum cleaner X is on standby, it may be executed in response to a requested operation performed by a user on an operation switch (not shown) of the operation handle 5 or the like. At this time, it may be considered that the dust collection operation control process is executed over a longer time (for example, about 8 seconds) than when it is automatically performed. In this case, since the dust removal drive motor (not shown) is operated for a long time, the

(Step S8)
Next, the control device Z starts the operation of the dust removal drive motor by controlling the dust removal drive motor (not shown) (step S8). When the dust removal drive motor is already operating, the operation of the dust removal drive motor is continued (second and subsequent processing).

(Steps S9 to S10)
Next, the control device Z determines whether or not the measured frequency F2 is equal to or lower than the dust detection frequency F1 (step S9). Here, when it is determined that the measured frequency F2 is equal to or lower than the dust detection frequency F1 (Yes in S9), the process proceeds to step S10.
In step S10, the control device Z determines that the dust in the
Here, the dust detection count N is a numerical value whose initial value starts from zero. The dust detection frequency N indicates the number of times that the measured frequency F2 corresponding to the intensity of light intermittently detected by the
On the other hand, when the control device Z determines that the measured frequency F2 is greater than the dust detection frequency F1 (No side of S9), the dust in the
(Steps S11 to S13)
In step S11, the control device Z counts up the total number of detections M. Here, the total number of detections M is a numerical value whose initial value starts from 1, and indicates the number of detections by the
Thereafter, in step S12, the control device Z determines whether or not the detection time t1 has reached a preset detection end time t2. Here, the detection end time t2 is preferably equal to or longer than the time required for the dust in the
Specifically, in the electric vacuum cleaner X, it is assumed that the detection end time t2 is set to 4 seconds. In the present embodiment, detection by the
Therefore, the control device Z acquires the measured frequency F2 for 20 times in 4 seconds until the detection end time t2. Then, in the control device Z, the number N of dust detections in which the 20 actual measurement frequencies F2 are equal to or less than the dust detection frequency F1 is counted (step S10).
If the control device Z determines in step S12 that the detection time t1 has reached the detection end time t2, the process proceeds to step S13. If the control device Z determines that the detection time t1 has not reached the detection end time t2, the process returns to step 6.
In step S13, the control device Z stops the dust removal drive motor (not shown). Thereafter, the control device Z was accumulated in the
(Steps S14 to S16)
First, the control device Z, as a statistic of the intensity of light detected by the
In the following
In addition, although the said detection ratio is mentioned here as an example of the statistics of the intensity | strength of the light detected by the said
If it is determined in step S15 that the dust in the
When it is determined in step S15 that the dust in the
As described above, in the vacuum cleaner X, the light intensity is intermittently detected by the
Further, in the
In the present embodiment, the configuration in which the
However, in this case, since the
By the way, if the vacuum cleaner X is used, the
Thereafter, when scratches and dirt on the
Therefore, it is desirable that the vacuum cleaner X has a configuration in which the dust detection frequency F1 can be changed. For example, the structure which can change the said dust detection frequency F1 manually by operation of the setting switch not shown provided in the said vacuum cleaner X can be considered. In practice, the control device Z updates the dust detection frequency F1 based on the content input to the setting switch. In this case, the setting switch (not shown) and the control device Z are examples of lower limit frequency changing means. The setting switch preferably requires special operation by a service person or the like. For example, a predetermined password or a physical setting key may be required. According to such a configuration, the dust detection frequency F1 is prevented from being erroneously changed by the user.
In the vacuum cleaner X, when the
In this case, the control device Z first notifies the user to attach the
When it is detected that the
Thereafter, the control device Z changes the dust detection frequency F1 according to the acquired current light transmission characteristics of the
Thus, according to the configuration in which the dust detection frequency F1 can be changed, it is possible to prevent erroneous detection when the
