Description

The present invention relates to a grommet attachment jig for connecting a grommet having a semi-circular first member and a second member connected to form an inner member and covering the inner member with a soft outer member to a wire harness.

For example, when a wire harness is inserted into an opening formed in a vehicle body panel that partitions an engine room and a vehicle compartment of an automobile, the wire harness directly contacts the periphery of the opening, or the gap between the wire harness and the opening Grommets are used to close it.
The grommet is generally integrally formed of a soft elastic material such as synthetic rubber.

Grommets that are integrally molded with a soft elastic material have a large amount of elastic deformation. Therefore, if the allowance with the opening of the panel is not large, the grommet is easily disengaged and falls off.
On the other hand, if the tightening margin is increased in order to prevent the dropout, the frictional resistance when fitting and mounting is increased, and the mounting property to the panel opening becomes difficult.

In order to solve this problem, it has been proposed that the grommet is composed of an inner member made of a hard resin material and an outer member made of a soft resin material, and is integrated by covering the inner member with the outer member ( For example, see Patent Document 1).
JP 2003-235131 A

According to this grommet, it is possible to suppress the amount of elastic deformation by forming only the outer frame with an outer member made of a soft resin material. Therefore, it is not necessary to increase the tightening margin, and the mounting property to the panel opening can be improved.
Hereinafter, a method for attaching the grommet described in the above publication to the wire harness will be described with reference to FIGS.

A wire harness for routing, for example, in a vehicle by holding a wire bundle in a state where a large number of wires 104A are bundled on the fork 101 of the routing jig plate 100 shown in FIG. 8 and winding the adhesive tape 102 around the held wire bundle. 104 is manufactured.
The grommet 105 is attached to the wire harness 104 when the wire harness 104 is manufactured.
The grommet 105 is divided into a substantially semicircular first member 107 and a second member 108 by halving the inner member 106, and an outer member 109 that can be fitted to the inner member 106 is annular. Is formed.

When attaching the grommet 105 to the wire harness 104, first, the annular outer member 109 is fitted into the wire harness 104 in advance.
Next, the wire harness 104 is sandwiched between the first member 107 and the second member 108, and the first member 107 and the second member 108 are connected to each other in a state where the first member 107 and the second member 108 are brought into contact with each other. Member 106 is formed.
In this state, the fixed piece 111 formed on the first member 107 is disposed along the wire harness 104.

As shown in FIG. 10, the fixing piece 111 and the wire harness 104 are wound with an adhesive tape 112 to fix the fixing piece 111 to the wire harness 104.
Next, the process of covering the inner member 106 with the outer member 109 (see FIG. 8) and attaching the grommet 105 (see FIG. 8) to the wire harness 104 is completed.

Incidentally, some of the wire harnesses 104 are attached in a bent state at the vehicle body panel 114 when attached to the opening 115 of the vehicle body panel 114 as shown in FIG.
In this case, as shown in FIG. 12, the fixed piece 111 is formed in a state of being inclined with respect to the first member 107, that is, in a state of intersecting the axis 104 </ b> A of the wire harness 104.

Thus, when the fixed piece 111 is formed so as to be inclined with respect to the first member 107, the fixed piece 111 and the second member 108 form a substantially V shape as shown in FIG.
For this reason, when the adhesive tape 112 is wound around the fixed piece 111 and the wire harness 104, the second member 108 prevents or interferes with the adhesive tape 112.
Since the second member 108 is in the way, it is difficult to wind the adhesive tape 112 around the fixed piece 111 and the wire harness 104, which hinders the attachment workability of the grommet 105.

An object of the present invention is to provide a grommet mounting jig capable of improving the grommet mounting workability.

In order to achieve the above-described object, the grommet mounting jig of the present invention includes an inner member formed in a substantially hollow disk shape through which a wire harness can be inserted by connecting a substantially semicircular first member and a second member. A grommet mounting jig used for mounting a grommet fixed by winding, a holding part capable of holding the first member, and advancing and retreating the holding part along the radial direction of the wire harness And means.

According to the grommet mounting jig of the present invention, it has a holding part capable of holding the first member, and advancing / retreating means for moving the holding part back and forth along the radial direction of the wire harness.
Therefore, with the first member held by the holding portion, the holding portion is advanced along the radial direction of the wire harness, so that the first member is brought into contact with the wire harness and the fixed piece is placed on the peripheral surface of the wire harness. It is easy to follow.

And before connecting a 2nd member to a 1st member, an adhesive tape can be wound around a wire harness and a fixed piece.
Therefore, when winding the adhesive tape, the second member does not get in the way, and the adhesive tape can be easily wound around the fixing piece and the wire harness without taking time and effort.

According to the grommet mounting jig of the present invention, the adhesive tape can be easily wound by winding the adhesive tape before the second member is connected to the first member, thereby improving the grommet mounting workability. The effect that it can be obtained.

The wire harness 11 is bent into a substantially square shape by a fork 23.
