本発明は、ボス部前面に放射状に設けるガイドベーンをファンブレードの付け根部付近の前縁から当該ブレードの裏面側に該ブレードに沿うように回り込ませてその先端部をブレード後縁のほぼ中間部まで滑らかな曲面にて延長し、かつ該延長部をさらに前記ボス部外周面に沿って風下側に向って軸方向に延ばして当該ボス部外周面を覆うように形成した構造、またはガイドベーンをファンブレードの付け根部付近の前縁から当該ブレードの裏面側に該ブレードに沿うように回り込んでその先端部をブレード後縁の外周末端部まで滑らかな曲面にて延長し、かつ該延長部をさらに前記ボス部外周面に沿って風下側に向って軸方向に延びて当該ボス部外周面を覆うように形成した構造としたことにより、ファン前方のボス部前面に放射状流れを生起し、かつボス部外周部付近の流れに斜流成分を持つよう空気の流れを著しく改善できると共に、ボス部前面に沿って流れる空気をボス部外周面側へ向って放射状にスムーズにガイドすることができるので、ボス部背面での回り込みも改善されて、消費馬力を抑えつつ高風量を得ることができる。また、ボス部からブレード裏面にわたって設ける前記ガイドベーンにより当該ボス部およびファンブレードが補強されるので、ボス部およびファンブレードの強度の向上にも有効である。したがって、本発明は、より品質的に優れた軸流ファンを実現でき、自動車機関等の冷却用として回転駆動する軸流型のエンジン冷却用ファンのみならず、各種動力機関の冷却用ファン等にも適用可能である。   In the present invention, a guide vane provided radially on the front surface of the boss portion is turned from the front edge near the base portion of the fan blade to the back surface side of the blade so as to follow the blade, and the tip portion thereof is substantially the middle portion of the blade rear edge. Therefore, the wraparound on the back surface of the boss part is improved, and a high air volume can be obtained while suppressing the power consumption. Further, since the boss portion and the fan blade are reinforced by the guide vanes provided from the boss portion to the back surface of the blade, it is effective for improving the strength of the boss portion and the fan blade. Therefore, the present invention can realize an axial fan with better quality, and can be used not only for an axial-flow type engine cooling fan that is rotationally driven for cooling an automobile engine, but also for a cooling fan for various power engines.
