Claims (20)
- 少なくとも1つのピストン式の燃焼室を有し、該燃焼室は最小及び最大ストローク間の差によって決定し得る、全ピストンで排気量VHの内燃機関と、
前記内燃機関の排気ラインに配置されるタービンを有し、該タービンは、直径DTのタービン翼車と、少なくとも2つの流路と、該流路が合流する断面積A1の開口部を有し、前記少なくとも2つの流路の少なくとも2つのリングノズル断面の寸法は異なり、前記タービン翼車には流れの断面積を通して排気ガスを供給し、前記タービンへの排気ライン内に、最小開口断面積dAAb,minと最大開口断面積dAAb,maxとの間で可変する開口断面積dAAbを有するバルブ装置が設けられた排気ガスターボチャージャを備えた内燃機関において、
エンジンブレーキ時の上記内燃機関(100)の最大ブレーキ力において、
− 上記タービン翼車12の直径DTと、
− 上記内燃機関(100)の排気量VHと、
− 上記タービン翼車(12)に対する最小流れ断面積AD,smallと、
− 上記バルブ装置(50)の開口(X)の最大開口断面積dAAb,maxとが、相互に、次の関係、すなわち、
- 前記ターボチャージャのブレーキ係数TBFAsymが0.001〜0.003の間にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記ターボチャージャのブレーキ係数TBFAsymが0.002であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関。
- 最大ブレーキ力における前記最小流れ断面積が、
AD,small=AD,1
に等しく、前記開口部の断面積A1が最小リングノズル断面積AD,1よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関。 - 最大ブレーキ力における前記最小流れ断面積が、
AD,small=A1
に等しく、前記開口部の断面積A1が最小リングノズル断面積AD,1よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関。 - 最大ブレーキ力における前記バルブ装置(50)の移送用開口(X)の開口断面積dAAb,maxの値が、前記バルブ装置(50)の移送用開口(X)の開口断面積dAAbが取り得る上限値であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記バルブ装置(50)の移送用開口(X)の最大開口断面積dAAb,maxの値が、最大リングノズル断面積の同じ値を超えないことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記バルブ装置(50)の移送用開口(X)の開口断面積dAAbを、エンジン回転数に従って変化させることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記バルブ装置(50)の移送用開口(X)の開口断面積dAAbを、エンジン回転数の低下と共に減少させることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記開口断面積dAAbの範囲が、少なくとも最大ブレーキ力におけるエンジン回転数までに及ぶエンジンの回転数帯域の上部の範囲に割り当てらることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記最大ブレーキ力が、前記内燃機関(100)の定格エンジン回転数よりも高いエンジン回転数のところにあることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記バルブ装置(50)の移送用開口(X)の開口断面積dAAbが開放されるエンジン回転数の範囲の開始点が、最大ブレーキ力におけるエンジン回転数の2/3〜3/4のところにあることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記最大ブレーキ力が、前記内燃機関(100)の定格エンジン回転数よりも1/4〜1/3高いエンジン回転数のところにあることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記タービン(3)の流路(6,7)の寸法の比を特性化する非対称係数FAsymが、前記内燃機関(100)の排気量VHに応じて、次式、すなわち、
- 前記バルブ装置(50)が、ロータリディスクバルブであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記ロータリディスクバルブが、移送用開口(X)とブローオフ開口(Y)を有することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の内燃機関。
- 前記ブローオフ開口(Y)が、スライド弁(48)における平坦なスロットとして形成されることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の内燃機関。
- 0.003よりも小さいターボチャージャブレーキ係数TBFAsymにおいては、前記バルブ装置(50)がブローオフの位置にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関。
- 0.003以上のターボチャージャブレーキ係数TBFAsymにおいては、前記バルブ装置(50)が移送の位置にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関。
