Abstract
Description
(1)遊離砥粒(支持体なしで溶射または懸濁で使用される)、
(2)被覆砥粒(織物または紙タイプの支持体上においてその粒子は数層に積層される)、
(3)固定砥粒(円形の研磨砥石、研磨棒などの形態)。
後者の場合、研磨粒子は、有機結合剤またはガラス質結合剤(この場合、本質的に珪酸塩酸化物からなる結合剤)でプレスされる。これらの粒子は、それ自身が良好な研磨の機械的特性(特に、強靭性)を有しなければならず、結合剤との良好な機械的結合(界面の強度)を提供しなければならない。現在、広範な用途と被覆性能を可能にする様々な種類の研磨粒子がある。溶融合成酸化物粒子は、特に優れた品質と製造コストの折衷案を提供する。
ZrO2+HfO2:40〜45.5%、
Al2O3 :46〜58%、
添加剤 :0〜10%、
SiO2 :0.8%未満、
不純物 :1.2%未満。
(1)そのノジュール濃度は、600ノジュール/mm2を超え、より好ましく900ノジュール/mm2を超える。
(2)そのノジュール濃度は、2500ノジュール/mm2未満であり、好ましくは2000ノジュール/mm2未満であり、より好ましくは1500ノジュール/mm2未満である。
(3)その混合物は、異物を含む粒子の含有量が多くても1.5%である。
(4)その添加剤は、酸化イットリウム、酸化チタン、酸化マグネシウム、酸化カルシウム、酸化ネオジム、酸化ランタン、酸化セリウム、酸化ジスプロシウム、酸化エルビウム、及び、他の希土類の化合物、または、それらの混合物からなる群から選択される。
(5)重量%で以下の化学組成である。
Y2O3 :0.1〜1.2%、及び/又は、
TiO2 :0.1〜3%、及び/又は、
SiO2 :0.4%未満、及び/又は、
ZrO2+HfO2:42〜44%。
(6)プライマリージルコニアを含む粒子の含有量は、20〜45%である。
(7)プライマリーコランダムを含む粒子の含有量は、0〜20%である。
(8)500から600μmの大きさを有する前記混合物の粒子によって形成されたサブアセンブリは、異物を含む粒子の含有量が2%未満であり、好ましくは1.5%未満であり、及び/又は、プライマリージルコニアを含む粒子の含有量が20〜45%であり、及び/又は、プライマリーコランダムを含む粒子の含有量が0〜20%である。
(9)好ましくは、本発明による混合物の粒子は、グリット12からグリット220の大きさを有し、より好ましくは、グリット16からグリット80の大きさを有する。それによって、その研磨性能が改善される。
(a)原料を混合する段階と、
(b)溶融液体が得られるまで前記混合原料を溶融する段階と、
(c)固体塊が得られるまで前記溶融液体を急冷することによって前記溶融液体を冷却する段階であって、好ましくは、前記溶融液体が3分間未満で完全に固化するように急冷する段階と、
(d)前記固体塊を粉砕して粒子混合物を得る段階、及び、任意に前記混合物のグリットサイズ分類を得る段階と、を連続的に含み、
前記原料は、前記混合物の粒子が本発明による混合物の粒子の原料に従う化学組成を有するように選択される。
(1)0.3%未満の水酸化ナトリウムを有するアンダーカルシンベイヤー(登録商標)アルミナ(undercalcined Bayer alumina)、
(2)98%を超える含有量を有するジルコニア+ハフニアを有するジルコニア粉末、
(3)石油コークス、
(4)アルミニウム金属のチップ。
(1)原料を混合する段階、
(2)直径0.8mの炉管を用いて、105から150Vの電圧、2200から2500Aの電流、2.2から2.8kWh/kgの供給される特定の電力の印加で、黒鉛電極を有するエルータイプ(Heroult type)の単相アーク炉で溶融する段階。
炉の状態に依存して、最少量である0.5%(最大3%)の石油コークスと約0.5から5.5%のアルミニウムチップが、生成された組成物に導入された。その後、溶融液体は、US−A−3993119で与えられるような、薄い金属プレート間でその液体を一体成型する装置を用いて急速に冷却された。その後、その粒子は粉砕され、それらのグリットサイズによって分類され、グリット12からグリット220のグリットサイズ、すなわち、45μmから2.8mmのサイズを有する粒子が保持された。
試験Aの目的は、スチール製の粉砕ジャーの材料を引き裂くために試験された粒子の性能を決定することである。
(1)そのジャーは、圧縮空気で清浄された。
(2)問題となるグリットサイズ分布で試験される25グラムの生成物のバッチは、リングと粉砕ジャーのパレットとの間に導入された。AUREC(登録商標)粉砕機(AUREC mill)が始動され、150秒間、公称速度(1400rpm)で回転した。粒子は、そのパレットとリングの衝撃によってのみストレスを受けた。その後、その粉末と粒子は、鉄成分を解析するために粉砕ジャーからブラシ(番号50)を用いて取り出された。
(3)粉砕後、試験された試料の鉄の含有量の割合が測定された。この鉄は、粉砕中にその混合物の粒子によって引き剥がされたスチールからのものである。研磨力(試験A)は、パーセントで与えられるが、参照的な粒子の混合物によって引き剥がされた鉄の含有量の割合に対する鉄の含有量の割合の比に相当する。試験Aでの高い値は、その粒子が高い研磨力を有することを示す。
試験Bの目的は、スチール製の粉砕ジャー内でストレスを受けた後、所定のグリットサイズの分布スライス、すなわち、710から850μmの残っている粒子の破片を決定することであり、これは、その粒子の機械的な強度の動的評価を構成する。
(1)そのジャーは、圧縮空気で清浄された。
(2)問題となるグリットサイズ分布で試験される25グラムの生成物のバッチは、リングと粉砕ジャーのパレットとの間に導入された。AUREC(登録商標)粉砕機(AUREC mill)が始動され、5秒間、公称速度(1400rpm)で回転した。その後、その粉末と粒子は、鉄成分を解析するために粉砕ジャーからブラシ(番号50)を用いて取り出された。従って、その生成物は、直径200ミリの一連のスクリーンで以下の篩T1を用いて12分間選別された。
Claims (13)
- 合計が100重量%になるように以下の化学組成を有する溶融アルミナ/ジルコニア粒子の混合物であって、
前記混合物は、異物を含む粒子の含有量が2%未満であり、
前記混合物のあらゆる粒子の断面で測定されるノジュール濃度は、少なくとも全体の50%において500ノジュール/mm2を超えることを特徴とする混合物。
ZrO2+HfO2:40〜45.5%、
Al2O3 :46〜58%、
添加剤 :0〜10%、
SiO2 :0.8%未満、
不純物 :1.2%未満。 - 前記混合物のあらゆる粒子の断面で測定される前記ノジュール濃度は、少なくとも全体の90%において500ノジュール/mm2を超えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の混合物。
- 前記ノジュール濃度は、900ノジュール/mm2を超えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の混合物。
- 前記ノジュール濃度は、2000ノジュール/mm2を超えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の混合物。
- 前記混合物は、前記異物を含む粒子の含有量が多くても1.5%であることを特徴とする請求項1から4の何れか一項に記載の混合物。
- 前記添加剤は、酸化イットリウム、酸化チタン、酸化マグネシウム、酸化カルシウム、酸化ネオジム、酸化ランタン、酸化セリウム、酸化ジスプロシウム、酸化エルビウム、及び、他の希土類の化合物、または、それらの混合物からなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1から5の何れか一項に記載の混合物。
- 重量%で以下の化学組成であることを特徴とする請求項1から6の何れか一項に記載の混合物。
Y2O3 :0.1〜1.2%、及び/又は、
TiO2 :0.1〜3%、及び/又は、
SiO2 :0.4%未満、及び/又は、
ZrO2+HfO2:42〜44%。 - プライマリージルコニアを含む粒子の含有量は、20〜45%であることを特徴とする請求項1から7の何れか一項に記載の混合物。
- プライマリーコランダムを含む粒子の含有量は、0〜20%であることを特徴とする請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載の混合物。
- 500から600μmの大きさを有する前記混合物の粒子によって形成されたサブアセンブリは、異物を含む粒子の含有量が2%未満であり、及び/又は、プライマリージルコニアを含む粒子の含有量が20〜45%であり、及び/又は、プライマリーコランダムを含む粒子の含有量が0〜20%であることを特徴とする請求項1から9の何れか一項に記載の混合物。
- 前記粒子は、FEPA標準に従って、グリット12からグリット220の大きさ、すなわち、45μmから2.8mmの大きさを有することを特徴とする請求項1から10の何れか一項に記載の混合物。
- フレキシブルな基材上に結合剤によって結合され、又は、層として積層され、及び、結合剤によって保持される研磨粒子の混合物を含む研磨工具であって、
前記混合物は、請求項1から11の何れか一項に記載の混合物であることを特徴とする研磨工具。 - 粒子混合物を製造する方法であって、
(a)原料を混合する段階と、
(b)溶融液体が得られるまで前記混合原料を溶融する段階と、
(c)固体塊が得られるまで前記溶融液体を急冷することによって前記溶融液体を冷却する段階と、
(d)前記固体塊を粉砕して粒子混合物を得る段階、及び、任意に前記混合物のグリットサイズ分類を得る段階と、を連続的に含み、
前記原料は、重量%で以下のような化学組成を有する前記混合物の粒子から選択され、
請求項1から11の何れか一項による粒子混合物を得るために最終選別段階を含む、粒子混合物の製造方法。
ZrO2+HfO2:40〜45.5%、
Al2O3 :46〜58%、
添加剤 :0〜10%、
SiO2 :0.8%未満、
