Description

The present invention relates to a sheet-like member conveying device that conveys a plurality of sheet-like members, and in particular, a document table on which the sheet-like members are stacked moves in conjunction with the conveyance of the sheet-like member and covers the sheet-like member conveying device. The present invention relates to a sheet-like member conveyance device configured to serve as both.

Scanners, printers, copiers, printing machines, ATMs (Automated Teller Machines), and the like are equipped with a mechanism for sequentially taking out and transporting sheet-like members from the document table. In particular, a function for raising and lowering the document table in accordance with the amount of sheet members stacked on the document table is necessary so that the sheet member can be reliably taken out.

FIG. 7 is a diagram schematically showing a configuration of a sheet-like member conveyance device 700 having a function of moving the document table up and down.

In FIG. 7, a document table 701 is a member for stacking sheet-like members 702, and the stacked sheet-like members 702 are sent to a conveyance path 704 by the rotation of a paper feed roller 703.

In order to operate the sheet feeding by the sheet feeding roller 703 reliably, the control unit 705 controls the position of the document table 701 by driving the document table lifting / lowering motor 706 according to the stacking amount of the sheet-like member 702 on the document table 701. To do.

Such a mechanism for raising and lowering the document table is disclosed as a hopper in Patent Document 1, for example. Further, Patent Document 2 discloses a mechanism that folds a member on which a document is placed into a main body when not in use and uses it as a cover.
JP 2004-269132 A Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-176095

However, in a sheet-like member conveying apparatus in which a driving mechanism such as a lifting function is added to the document table, the document table may be stored in the main body and used as a cover that covers a part of the device. At this time, when the apparatus is turned off or in an apparatus standby state, the document table may remain stopped at an arbitrary position and cannot be stored. Further, if the storing operation is forcibly performed in such a state, the document table is damaged, or an overload is applied to the drive mechanism, leading to damage to the drive mechanism.

It is also possible to manually move the document table to a position where it can be stored and store it in the main body. However, in this case, an extra work of aligning the document table to the storage position is required.

Further, when the power is turned on and the storage of the document table is released while the document table is in the storage position, in the combination of the above prior art, the document table is stopped at the position where the storage is released. When the sheet-like member is to be conveyed in this state, the document table needs to be moved to a position where the sheet-like member can be conveyed. For this reason, when the conveyance of the sheet-like member is further instructed after the power is turned on, it may take time until the conveyance actually starts depending on the stacking amount of the sheet-like member.

An object of the present invention is to provide a sheet-like member transport device that can be used as a cover that covers a part of a main body while preventing the document table from being damaged.

In order to achieve the above object, the sheet-like member conveying device according to claim 1 is a sheet-like member conveying device having a document table on which the sheet-shaped member is stacked and a document table moving means for moving the document table up and down. The document table can be stored so as to also serve as a cover with respect to the sheet-shaped member conveying device, and the document table moving means stores the document table when the sheet-shaped member conveying device is turned off or in a standby state. It is characterized by moving to a possible position.

In order to achieve the above object, the sheet-like member conveying apparatus according to claim 5 is a sheet-like member conveying apparatus having a document table on which the sheet-shaped member is stacked and a document table moving means for moving the document table up and down. The sheet-like member conveying device can be stored so that the document table also serves as a cover, and the sheet-like member conveying device is turned on while the document table is stored in the sheet-like member conveying device. In some cases, the document table moving means moves the document table to a predetermined position where the sheet-like member can be conveyed after releasing the storage of the document table.

According to the present invention, when the power of the sheet-like member conveying apparatus is turned off or in the standby state, the document table is always in a position where it can be stored as a cover (lid) of the sheet-like member conveying apparatus. After being in the state, it can be easily stored as a cover of the sheet-like member conveying device. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the document table from being stored from a position other than the predetermined position. Therefore, it is possible to prevent damage to the document table, the driving mechanism such as the lifting mechanism, and the document regulating plate attached to the document table.

Further, even when the document table is manually stored in the sheet-shaped member conveying device as a cover of the sheet-shaped member conveying device without turning off the power, the detection mechanism detects the storing of the document table, and the sheet-shaped member conveying device Since the power is turned off, it can be started in a predetermined procedure upon restart. In addition, there is no need to manually turn off the power, and forgetting to turn off the power can be prevented.

In addition, when the apparatus is turned on, the document table is moved to a predetermined position after the document table is unstored. Therefore, after the sheet-like member is stacked on the document table, the document table is again moved to actually transport the sheet-like member. The moving distance can be shortened.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

First, a sheet-like member transport device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described.

FIG. 1 is a diagram schematically showing a configuration of a sheet-like member conveyance device according to the present embodiment.

In FIG. 1, an original table 101 is a member on which a sheet-like member 102 can be stacked, and the stacked sheet-like member 102 is sent to the conveyance path 104 by the rotation of a paper feed roller 103.

In order to operate the sheet feeding by the sheet feeding roller 103 reliably, the control unit 105 drives the document table raising / lowering motor 106 according to the stacking amount of the sheet-like member 102 on the document table 101 to move the document table 101. The position of the document table 101 is controlled.

The document table position detecting means at the position of the document table 101 is based on pulse control of the document table lifting / lowering motor 106 or based on document table position determination by the position detection sensor 107. A configuration in which the position detection sensor 107 is installed on the main body side, a configuration in which the position detection sensor 107 is installed on the document table side, or a configuration in which document table position detection means is distributed between the main body side and the document table side can be considered.

The document table 101 can be displaced from a state in which the document table 101 can stack the sheet-like member 102 to a storage state of the document table 101 that also serves as a cover of the device, and covers a part of the device 100 as shown in FIG. Can be used as a lid. Even if the document table 101 is displaced to the storage position at the retractable position, the document table 101 is configured so that, for example, the document regulating plate 501 shown in FIG. Further, the document table raising / lowering motor 106 is not subjected to an excessive load due to the displacement of the document table 101.

The displacement to the storage position is performed by the operator with his / her hand in the present embodiment, but may be automatically performed by other driving means.

The document table 101 that has shifted to the storage state holds the state of the apparatus 100 as a cover by the holding members 301 and 302 as shown in FIGS. 3 (a) and 3 (b). As the holding members 301 and 302, for example, there is a convex member on the document table side and a concave member on the main body side, and there is a method of holding both by fitting them together.

FIG. 4 is a view for explaining a state in which the holding member 301 is detached from the holding member 302. When the document table 101 is used as a cover of the apparatus, the document table lifting motor 106 is driven to move the document table 101 serving as the cover of the apparatus in the direction of the arrow 401. As the document table is moved in the direction of the arrow 401, the holding member 301 is disengaged. By disengaging the holding member 301, it is possible to avoid damage to the document table 101 or damage due to overload on the document table lifting motor 106. Further, the document table 101 used as a lid after the holding member 301 is detached can be obtained by the weight of the document table 101, by the acting force of the document table lifting / lowering motor 106, or a combination thereof. It is also possible to move to the position shown in FIG.

FIG. 5 is a view for explaining a state in which the holding member 301 is detached from the holding member 302.

The sheet-like member conveyance device in FIG. 5 includes a restriction plate 501 for restricting the sheet-like member stacked on the document table 101 to a fixed position, and a document table extrusion unit 502 on the main body side.

When the document table 101 is used as a cover of the apparatus, the document table lifting motor 106 is driven to move the document table 101 serving as the cover of the apparatus in the direction of the arrow 503. When the document table 101 moves in the direction of the arrow 503, the holding member 301 is disengaged. By disengaging the holding member 301, it is possible to avoid damage to the document table 101 or damage due to overload on the document table lifting motor 106. Further, the document table 101 used as a cover by removing the holding member 301 is caused by the weight of the document table 101 or by the acting force of the document table lifting / lowering motor 106, or the regulating plate 501 is the document table pushing portion. It is also possible to shift to the paper feedable state shown in FIG. 1 when a stress in the direction of the arrow 504 is generated upon hitting 502 or a combination thereof.

In addition, the holding member 301 may be removed when the regulating plate 501 hits the document table pushing portion 502 and a stress in the direction of the arrow 504 is generated. In order to easily generate a stress in the direction of the arrow 504, a slope shape is provided on a portion of the restriction plate 501 that contacts the document table extrusion portion 502, or a portion of the document table extrusion portion 502 that contacts the restriction plate 501 or the document table 101. It is conceivable to adopt a configuration in which a slope shape is provided, or a slope shape is provided on a portion of the document table 101 that is in contact with the document table extrusion unit 502.

When the power to the apparatus is turned on, or when the apparatus stand-by state is restored, when the document table 101 is in the cover state, the document table raising / lowering motor is turned on after turning on the power or after returning to the apparatus stand-by state in order to make it possible to feed paper The structure which drives 106 may be sufficient.

Further, after the document table 101 is displaced from the storage state to the storage release state as described above, the document table 101 is automatically moved to a predetermined position determined by the operator in advance among positions where the sheet-like member can be conveyed. This position is determined by the amount of sheet-like members stacked on the document table 101. Thereby, when there is an instruction to start the conveyance of the sheet-like member and the conveyance is actually started, the amount of movement of the document table can be reduced and the time required for the conveyance can be shortened.

Next, the operation for using the document table 101 as a cover of the apparatus after the apparatus power-off instruction or the apparatus standby state transition instruction will be described in detail with reference to the flowchart of FIG.

In FIG. 6, after the apparatus power-off instruction or the apparatus standby state transition instruction (step S601), the sheet-like member transport apparatus 100 detects the position of the document table 101 by the position detection sensor 107 which is a document table position detection unit. (Step S602). The document table 101 is usually located at any position where the sheet-like member can be conveyed, but may be located at the same position as the predetermined position determined by the operator that moves when the power is turned on as described above. .

For this reason, it is determined whether or not the document table 101 is in the storageable position (step S603). If it is in the storable position (YES in step S603), the apparatus power is turned off or the apparatus is shifted to a standby state (step S605). If it is not in the storable position (NO in step S603), the document table raising / lowering motor 106, which is the document table moving means, is driven (step S604) to control the document table position to be the storable position. After the document table position is moved to the storable position (YES in step S603), the apparatus power is turned off or the apparatus enters a standby state (step S605).

In step S604, the document table raising / lowering motor 106 is a means for moving the document table 101 to a position where the document table 101 can be stored. The operation of lowering the document table 101 is realized by the movement of the document table 101 by its own weight. Also good.

The operation of moving the document table 101 to the document table storable position and then shifting the apparatus power off or shifting to the apparatus standby state enables the storage operation without regard to the position of the document table 101 and improves the operability of the apparatus. . This is particularly effective when the operator sets a predetermined position of the document table when the power is turned on in advance, which is determined by the operator, to a position far from the storable position depending on the number of document sheet-like members stacked.

Further, as shown in FIG. 2, the sheet-like member conveying apparatus can be provided with a position detection sensor 201 which is a storage detection means for detecting whether or not the document table is used as a cover of the apparatus. Thus, when it is detected that the document table 101 is stored, the apparatus can be turned off or can be shifted to the apparatus standby state. In this way, even when the document table is forcibly stored manually without turning off the power of the apparatus, the power can be automatically turned off.
