Description

The present invention relates to a vehicle door checker that provides resistance to door opening and closing operations.

The vehicle door checker includes a check structure attached to the door, and a check arm having one end pivotally attached to the vehicle body and the other end inserted through the check structure. The check structure includes a case fixed in the door, a slider housed in the case and capable of sliding on the sliding surface of the check arm, and pressing the slider toward the sliding surface of the check arm. The sliding element slides while holding the sliding surface of the check arm in accordance with the opening / closing operation of the door, thereby imparting resistance to the opening / closing operation of the door.

Especially in cold regions, rainwater that has entered the case of the check structure may freeze. When rainwater freezes in the case, there is no space in the case that allows elastic deformation of the elastic body, the elastic deformation characteristics of the elastic body change, and the door opening / closing operation becomes uncomfortable.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, a hole portion that allows elastic deformation and an annular seal lip that surrounds the opening of the hole portion and closely contacts the inner surface of the case are provided on the outer surface of the elastic body. There is one in which rainwater intrusion is prevented and the elastic deformation characteristics of the elastic body are not changed (see Patent Document 1).
JP 2007-23614.

However, in the invention described in Patent Document 1, the hole and the seal lip are provided on the outer surface (upper surface and lower surface) perpendicular to the compression deformation direction (vertical direction) of the elastic body, and thus act on the elastic body. The compressive load that acts directly on the seal lip causes the seal lip to be crushed by repeated loads, and the sealing effect is quickly reduced. Moreover, when the elastic body recovers from the compressed state, negative pressure is generated in the hole, and with this negative pressure, rainwater collected at the bottom of the case is absorbed into the hole, and the rainwater freezes in the hole. There is a risk of changing the elastic deformation characteristics of the elastic body.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and is a vehicle door checker that can suppress a change in elastic deformation characteristics of an elastic body to a minimum even when rainwater that has entered the case freezes. The purpose is to provide.

According to the present invention, the above problem is solved as follows.
(1) In the vehicle door checker, in which the check structure slides on the sliding surface of the check arm in accordance with the door opening / closing operation, thereby imparting resistance to the door opening / closing operation. The body includes a case through which the check arm is inserted, a slider accommodated in the case and capable of sliding on a sliding surface of the check arm, and a body accommodated in the case. An elastic body that presses toward the sliding surface of the arm, and the elastic body on a first side surface substantially parallel to an elastic deformation direction that presses the slider of the elastic body against the sliding surface of the check arm. And a seal portion that surrounds the opening of the recess and that is in close contact with the inner side surface of the case facing the first side surface of the elastic body.

(2) In the above item (1), a groove is provided on the second side surface of the elastic body perpendicular to the first side surface and parallel to the elastic deformation direction over the entire width orthogonal to the elastic deformation direction. .

(3) In the above item (2), convex portions that can contact the inner side surface of the case facing the second side surface are formed above and below the groove portion on the second side surface.

According to the present invention, the following effects can be achieved.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, even when rainwater enters the case, the rainwater can be effectively prevented from entering the recess of the elastic body by the seal portion, and the recess is provided on the side surface of the elastic body. Therefore, it is difficult for rainwater to enter the recess.
In addition, when the elastic body is elastically deformed, the seal portion only comes into sliding contact with the inner side surface in the case facing the first side surface of the elastic body, and the compression load of the elastic body does not act directly. The effect can be kept.
In addition, even if rainwater that has entered the case freezes, the space of the recess allows the elastic body to be elastically deformed, minimizing changes in the elastic deformation characteristics of the elastic body, and is suitable for door opening and closing operations. Resistance can be imparted.

According to the invention of claim 2, the elastic body can be compressed and deformed into the intended shape.

According to the third aspect of the invention, when the elastic body is elastically deformed, the elastic deformation of the elastic body in the case can be smoothly performed by the projecting portion slidingly contacting the inner side surface of the case.

In the figure, 1 is a vehicle body panel, 2 is a door pivotally attached to the vehicle body panel 1 by a door hinge (not shown), and 3 is a vehicle door checker. In the following description, the left side in FIGS. 1 to 3 is “front”, the right side is “rear”, the up and down direction in FIG. 1 is “left and right direction”, and the up and down direction in FIGS. “Up and down direction”.

The vehicle door checker 3 is pivotally attached to a bracket 4 whose front end is fixed to the vehicle body panel 1 by a pivot 5 that is provided slightly apart from a hinge shaft (not shown) of the door 2 and faces the vertical direction. The check arm 6 includes a check arm 6 that enters the door 2 from the end surface of the door 2 and a check structure 7 that is fixed to the inside of the end surface of the door 2. By sliding while sandwiching the sliding surface (upper and lower surfaces) of the arm 6, a predetermined resistance can be applied to the opening / closing operation of the door 2, and the door 2 can be held at a predetermined opening angle.

The check arm 6 is formed of a strip-shaped steel material 61 and a resin mold portion 62 that covers the surface of the steel material 61. A plurality of concave portions 621 are formed on the upper and lower sliding surfaces of the resin mold portion 62 along the longitudinal direction (front-rear direction). A stopper 63 is provided at the rear end of the check arm 6 that enters the door 2 to stop the door 2 in the fully open position by coming into contact with a rear portion of a case 8 to be described later in the check structure 7. .

FIG. 5 shows an exploded perspective view of the check structure 7. The check structure 7 includes a case 8 that is fixed to the inside of the end surface of the door 2, and the case 8 is made of a synthetic resin that slides while holding the sliding surface of the check arm 6 with the opening / closing operation of the door 2. A pair of upper and lower sliders 9 and a pair of upper and lower elastic bodies 10 that press the upper and lower sliders 9 against the sliding surface of the check arm 6 are housed.

The case 8 includes a box-shaped case main body 81 whose front is opened, and a cover 82 that closes the opening of the case main body 81. The upper and lower flanges 811 provided on the case main body 81 and the cover 82 are overlapped in the front-rear direction. In this state, it is fixed to the inside of the end face of the door 2 by the bolt 11. The case body 81 and the cover 82 are provided with windows 812 and 821 through which the check arm 6 is inserted.

Each slider 9 is accommodated in the case 8 so as to be movable up and down so as to sandwich the sliding surface of the check arm 6 from above and below, and in an opposing portion facing the sliding surface of the check arm 6, Engaging portions 91 that can be engaged with the respective concave portions 621 of the check arm 6 are provided, and at the both side portions opposed to the both side edges of the check arm 6, a steady stop portion 92 that suppresses the lateral movement of the check arm 6. Is provided.

Each elastic body 10 is integrally formed of an elastic material such as an elastomer and is accommodated in the case 8 so as to press the engaging portion 91 of each slider 9 toward the sliding surface of the check arm 6. .

The left and right side surfaces of each elastic body 10, that is, the side surface (first side surface) substantially parallel to the elastic deformation direction that presses the engaging portion 91 of the slider 9 against the sliding surface of the check arm 6, is directed toward the center portion. A recessed portion 101 that is greatly recessed and a thin seal portion 102 that surrounds the opening of the recessed portion 101 and is in close contact with the inner surface of the case 8.

The recess 101 is for allowing elastic deformation of the elastic body 10 in the case 8. The seal portion 102 surrounds the opening of the concave portion 101 and is in close contact with the inner side surface of the case 8 facing the side surface of the elastic body 10, thereby preventing rainwater that has entered the case 8 from entering the concave portion 101. Is to do.

By providing the concave portion 101 and the seal portion 102 on the side surfaces of the elastic body 10 that are substantially parallel to the elastic deformation direction, holes corresponding to the concave portion 101 are formed on the upper and lower surfaces of the elastic body 10 (surfaces orthogonal to the elastic deformation direction). The elastic body 10 can be easily elastically deformed to obtain an appropriate elastic deformation characteristic, and rain water collected at the bottom of the case 8 can be made difficult to enter the recess 101 as compared with the structure provided in FIG. it can. Further, when the elastic body 10 is elastically deformed, the seal portion 102 merely slides on the inner side surface of the case 8 facing the side surface of the elastic body 10, and the compression load of the elastic body 10 does not act directly. The sealing effect can be maintained throughout.

The front and rear surfaces of the elastic body 10, that is, the side surface (second side surface) orthogonal to the left and right side surfaces of the elastic body 10 and parallel to the elastic deformation direction is provided with a groove 103 across the entire width in the left and right direction. Similarly, on the upper and lower sides of the groove portion 103, a convex portion 104 that protrudes so as to slidably contact the inner surfaces of the case body 81 and the cover 82 extends in parallel with the groove portion 103.

The groove 103 allows the elastic body 10 to be compressed and deformed in the case 8 and has an action of compressing and deforming the elastic body 10 into an intended shape. The projecting portion 104 causes the elastic body 10 to be smoothly deformed in the case 8 by slidingly contacting the inner surfaces of the case main body 81 and the cover 82 when the elastic body 10 is elastically deformed.

As described above, in the present embodiment, the elastic body 10 is allowed to be elastically deformed on both left and right side surfaces substantially parallel to the elastic deformation direction in which the slider 9 of the elastic body 10 is pressed against the sliding surface of the check arm 6. For example, rain water is provided in the case 8 by providing the concave portion 101 to be closed and the seal portion 102 that surrounds the opening of the concave portion 101 and that is in close contact with the inner side surface of the case 8 facing the left and right side surfaces of the elastic body 10. Even if water enters, the sealing portion 102 can effectively prevent rainwater from entering the concave portion 101 of the elastic body 10. In addition, even if rainwater that has entered the case 8 accumulates in the groove portion 103 of the elastic body 10 and freezes, the elastic body 10 is allowed to be elastically deformed by the space of the recess 101, and the elastic deformation characteristics of the elastic body 10 are changed. It can be minimized, and an appropriate resistance force can be applied to the opening / closing operation of the door 2.

Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the following various modifications and changes can be made to the present embodiment without departing from the gist of the present invention.
(I) Since rainwater easily enters the bottom of the case 8, the concave portion 101 and the seal portion 102 are provided only on the lower elastic body 10.
(Ii) The concave portion 101 and the seal portion 102 are provided on the front and rear surfaces of the elastic body 10, and the groove portion 103 is provided on both the left and right side surfaces of the elastic body 10.
(Iii) The seal portion 102 is formed of an O-ring or the like separate from the elastic body 10.
