Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an improvement of a paper processing apparatus that issues after printing, stapling, and the like on various types of paper, and more particularly to stapling of already loaded paper bundles when sequentially stacking paper bundles stapled at an edge on a stacking table. The present invention relates to a sheet processing apparatus capable of solving the problem that the needle and the staple needle of the succeeding sheet bundle interfere with each other to deteriorate the alignment between the sheet bundles.
In recent years, automatic issuing devices have been introduced and used in various local governments, companies, schools, and the like as means for issuing certificates and other documents (hereinafter referred to as certificates). Due to the nature of the certificate, it is necessary to issue the required number of sheets accurately without excess or deficiency. When the certificate or the like is composed of a plurality of pages of paper, the sheets printed in the apparatus are sequentially stacked, stapled, and then automatically issued outside the apparatus.
As this type of automatic issuing device, a commercially available general-purpose printer, a post-processing device for performing stapling or marking processing on printed paper output from the printer, and a control device for controlling these are used. The type is known, and one automatic issuing device is configured by storing each device in a housing having a plurality of storage shelves.

By the way, when the user of the automatic issuing
However, none of the conventional examples disclose the problems of the prior art as described above and the configuration for solving the problems.
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and in a paper processing apparatus having a function of issuing a stapled paper bundle after issuing a staple process, when issuing a plurality of paper bundles, all the paper bundles are immediately before being issued. Efficiently prevents problems that occurred in the past when using the batch issue method after stacking, that is, misalignment due to interference between staples between the already loaded paper bundle and the subsequent paper bundle. An object of the present invention is to provide a sheet post-processing apparatus that can perform the above-described processing.
In order to achieve the above object, a paper processing apparatus according to a first aspect of the invention performs stapling on a front end edge of a printer that prints paper and discharges the paper, and a paper bundle that is sequentially discharged from the printer and stacked. A stapler, a conveying unit that conveys a bundle of sheets that have received staples starting from the front edge, and a holding device that sequentially accepts and holds the bundle of sheets conveyed by the conveying unit, and then issues it to the outside. A paper processing apparatus comprising: a control unit configured to control the paper bundle, wherein the transport unit transports the paper bundle in a substantially horizontal direction by nipping and rotating the paper bundle and ejects the paper stack to the holding device. The holding device includes a loading platform having a rear portion that is movable up and down about an axis provided at a front portion and having an opening at an appropriate position on a loading surface, and the loading device disposed below the loading table. Responds to the vertical movement of the table Characterized in that it and a fin relatively infested from the opening Te.
A plurality of paper bundles formed by repeating the process of driving the staple needle into an appropriate position of a paper bundle made up of a plurality of pages printed by the printer is accumulated once and then issued collectively outside the machine. In the sheet processing apparatus configured as described above, a holding apparatus that holds the sheet bundle before issuance is required. In this holding device, the stapled paper bundle is sequentially discharged onto the stacking table. However, since the staples driven into the already loaded paper bundle protrude from the upper and lower surfaces of the paper bundle, When the leading end of the subsequent sheet bundle hangs down from the upper surface and is discharged while contacting, there is a possibility that the staples driven into both sheet bundles collide with each other and interfere with each other to disturb the alignment of the sheet bundle. is there. Therefore, in the present invention, when the already loaded sheet bundle is seated on the stacking table, the sheet is pushed up and deformed by the fin protruding upward from the stacking surface, so that it is different from the discharge posture of the subsequent sheet bundle. As a result, the staples driven into the two sheet bundles can be made difficult to interfere with each other. When the stacking of a plurality of sheet bundles is completed, the fins are retracted by raising the stacking table, so that all the sheet bundles are flattened and issued in this state.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, the loading table includes a first conveying belt having an upper surface exposed on a loading surface side, and the loading table is located above the loading table when the loading table is moved upward. A second conveyance belt is provided that sandwiches the sheet bundle between the upper surface of the first conveyance belt and issues the sheet bundle outside the apparatus in cooperation with the first conveyance belt. .
By cooperating with the two conveyor belts, it is possible to issue a plurality of sheet bundles together outside the apparatus.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect, the conveying unit includes a seating member that is disposed in the vicinity of the pair of paper discharge rollers and deforms the sheet bundle into a required shape. And
By deforming the stack of already loaded sheets into a required shape with the fins, it is possible to prevent interference between the staples driven into each sheet bundle by making the posture different from the posture at the time of discharging the subsequent sheet bundle. When the waist is remarkably lowered due to the material of the paper, moisture absorption, etc., the interference preventing effect by the fins may be lowered. In preparation for such a case, a sheeting roller pair is also provided with a seating member, and the sheet bundle is partially deformed into a required shape at the time of nip, so that the posture at the time of ejection is set to a substantially horizontal posture (stacked on the fin). The posture is significantly different from the posture of the already-stacked sheet bundle) and is dropped after reaching the upper side of the already-stacked sheet bundle. For this reason, it is possible to eliminate the problem that the front edge of the succeeding sheet bundle is discharged while being in sliding contact with the upper surface of the already accumulated sheet bundle.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the first, second, or third aspect, the transport unit includes a guide that suppresses lifting of the stack of sheets transported by the pair of paper discharge rollers. Processing equipment.
If the posture of the sheet bundle when being discharged by the discharge roller pair is too upward due to the material of the sheet or the action of the seating member, the sheet may not be correctly stacked on the already loaded sheet. For this reason, a guide is provided above the sheet bundle discharge path so as to suppress the lifting.
A fifth aspect of the present invention is the fin according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, wherein the stapler includes a configuration for stapling at least two locations along a front end edge of the sheet bundle, and constituting the holding device. Is formed so as to protrude upward from the opening when the stacking table is lowered, to form a step between the stacking surface, and to bend and deform in contact with an appropriate position on the lower surface of the sheet bundle discharged onto the stacking table. Thus, the staples of the paper bundle and the staples of the subsequent paper bundle discharged in a substantially horizontal posture are configured not to interfere with each other.
According to the present invention, in a paper processing apparatus configured to temporarily hold a plurality of sheet bundles subjected to sequential printing and stapling, and then collectively issue them to the outside of the apparatus, the paper held in advance It is possible to effectively prevent misalignment between the sheet bundles due to the collision and interference of the staple needles of the sheet bundle subsequently discharged to the holding position with the staples of the bundle.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is a side longitudinal sectional view showing an internal configuration of an automatic issuing device for certificates and the like as a paper processing device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The automatic issuance device (paper processing device) 1 is a device that prints and issues necessary items on special paper because of the need to prevent forgery, such as a certificate.
The automatic issuing device 1 includes a housing body 2, a front door 3 pivotally supported to open and close the front surface of the housing body 2, a printer storage unit 5 disposed at a lower portion in the housing body 2, and post-processing. A

In this embodiment, the stapler is configured to drive staples at two locations along the front edge of the sheet bundle.

The
Note that the posture of the sheet bundle discharged from the

As shown in FIG. 2, when the stacking of the sheet bundle is completed with the fins protruding relatively upward from the stacking surface, the stacking base is raised to the issuing position indicated by the broken line in FIG. The protrusion length of the fins from the stacking surface is relatively reduced, and the plurality of sheet bundles are almost flat (FIG. 3). In this state, the sheet bundle group is sandwiched between the lower and upper surfaces of the first and
As described above, according to the present invention, in a paper processing apparatus configured to temporarily hold a plurality of paper bundles that have been sequentially printed and stapled, and then collectively issue them to the outside of the apparatus, the paper processing apparatus holds them in advance. It is possible to effectively prevent the occurrence of misalignment between the sheet bundles caused by the collision and interference of the staple needles of the sheet bundle subsequently discharged to the holding position with the staples of the sheet bundle.
The present invention is not limited to certificates, and can be applied to any type of paper processing apparatus that can hold a plurality of paper bundles formed by stapling processing and issue them collectively after the holding is completed.
