自転車用の荷台においては走行時や乗降時に乗り手の邪魔にならないように、積載部の長手方向が自転車の前進方向に沿うように配置されることが望まれる。しかし、このような積載部に比較的大きな荷物を積載するとカーブ走行中に自転車の横方向に荷物が転落することが良くある。よって、荷物の大きさに合わせて積載部上面のサイズを変化可能にすることが望まれるが、特許文献2から4のような展開式の構造であれば荷物を積載した際に展開した状態を維持する為の当たり部分に大きなストレスが加わることが考えられる。また、特許文献5のようなスライド式の構造であれば嵌合部に大きなストレスが加わるし、自転車のように屋外使用が前提とされる乗り物において摺動部の摺動抵抗の増加による操作性の低下が懸念される。   In a bicycle carrier, it is desirable that the longitudinal direction of the loading portion be arranged along the forward direction of the bicycle so as not to obstruct the rider when traveling or getting on and off.
