また、開先ピンチローラー30a,30bの圧延部31におけるテーパ形状は、凸状または凹状に湾曲して形成されていてもよい。

帯状鋼材を螺旋状に成形造管しながら継ぎ目を溶接する成形機の入り側において、帯状鋼材の両エッジ部を圧延により開先加工しながら該帯状鋼材を上記成形機に送り込む圧延式開先加工手段を設置したことを特徴とするスパイラル鋼管の製造装置。
