また特許文献にあるように袋状にした包装の内側に切り込みをいれたようにある開口部に廃棄物を入れる際、開口部の直径からもわかるように経血を吸収し膨らんだ使用済みナプキンをコンパクトに畳まなければ投入不可能な開口径であり、投入しづらく手を汚す場合が考えられる。
そして、通常はナプキンの裏面はショーツに接着固定できるよう粘着テープが全面に施されており、廃棄品を袋状のものに投入する際、開口部が狭いと、そのテープが開口部付近で接着し投入出来ないか、もしくは投入出来たとしても途中で接着してしまい、袋底部まで入れ込むことは難しく収納力を半減するものである。

また開口部に設けた再粘着シールは、個別包装の止着機能と包装袋の止封機能という二つの役割を持つことでゴミや付属品を軽減し、使用時スムーズな衛生機能を提供し、まったく他者へ廃棄品本体を見せることなく廃棄可能とした。
処理袋には防臭、防水効果を持たせることで、悪臭や経血漏れを防止でき、他者への接触、不快感を与えることなく配慮が出来る。
また、この処理袋の開口部を設けた箇所や、袋にマチがあるという構造、開口部に設けられた再粘着性のシールの付属から、この処理袋の取り扱い説明書が無くても使用方法に見当がつき、有効に機能を発揮することが可能である。

本発明を使用する際は図２ｂで示す個別包装（７）の状態から再粘着シール（４）を剥がしたのち、両サイド（６）の、のりづけを剥がし、図２ａのように使用前生理ナプキン（５）を広げ、取り外し使用する。
使用済み廃棄品を投入する際は図２ａで示すように使用前生理ナプキン（５）のカバーシートとして使われていたマチあり袋の開口部（３）をマチ共十分開き、廃棄品を投入、再粘着シール（４）で密閉し廃棄する。
