また、ベッド部と下板40との間の摩擦力を上昇することなく布地Mの保持性の向上を図ることができるため、当該摩擦の上昇による送り動作への負荷を低減してミシンの耐久性の低下を防止しつつミシン動作の効率性の向上を図ることができる。また、保持枠60の重心を通る連結軸61と布押さえ30の重心を通る連結軸31とにより、布押さえ30の一端から他端に渡って押さえ圧を均一にすることができる。
また、シリンダ装置50によって布押さえ30を布保持位置に配置する際に、ベッド部と平行に下降させることができることにより、布押さえ30の一端が先に布地Mに当接されることによる布地Mの位置ずれを防止することができる。従って、縫い品質の低下を防止することができる。
