Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fuel cell. More specifically, the present invention relates to an improvement in the structure of a fuel cell.
However, the fuel cell having such a structure incorporates disadvantages such as the cable becoming too long depending on how it is mounted on the vehicle. That is, most of the fuel cells mounted on a vehicle are mounted in a horizontally placed state in which the cell stacking direction matches the width direction of the vehicle. When trying to mount in a state that matches the direction), it may be necessary to route the output cable for a long time, which can be one of the problems in mounting vertically.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell having a structure suitable for mounting in a fuel cell vehicle in a vertically placed state (a state in which the cell stacking direction coincides with the front-rear direction of the vehicle).
In order to solve this problem, the present inventor has made various studies. When changing the fuel cell mounting method from horizontal to vertical (ie, when the cell stacking direction of the cell stack is rotated by 90 ° C from the vehicle width direction to match the vehicle longitudinal direction), the terminal plate and its output terminal The position is also a position rotated by 90 °, for example, the one facing the right side of the vehicle is the position facing the front of the vehicle. However, the relay to which the output cable of the fuel cell is connected is rotated by 90 ° like the fuel cell because it is difficult to arrange the relay in front of the vehicle from the viewpoint of ensuring safety in a forward collision (front collision), for example. In other words, the current position (for example, the position on the right side of the vehicle near the output terminal) must remain. Then, since the output cable connecting the output terminal and the relay is inevitably long, it is necessary to take into consideration that the output cable, which is one of the high-voltage components, is routed for such a long time. The present inventor who has further studied this point while paying attention to the structure has come to obtain new knowledge that leads to the solution of such problems.
The present invention is based on such knowledge, and includes a cell stack in which cells are stacked, an end plate disposed at an end of the cell stack, and an output terminal for taking out electric power generated in the cell stack. In the fuel cell having a configuration including a terminal plate with an output, an output cable connected to the output terminal of the terminal plate is connected to the cell stack from a position closer to the cell stack than the end plate. It is drawn out to the side of the direction and is protected by the end plate.
In this fuel cell, the output cable connected to the output terminal (for example, the cable connecting the output terminal of the terminal plate and the relay) is positioned closer to the cell stack than the end plate. It is routed to the side in the stacking direction. In addition, the output cable that has been routed for a long time is protected by an end plate that is disposed at the end of the cell stack. For this reason, when the fuel cell is mounted in a vehicle in a vertically placed state (a state in which the cell stacking direction coincides with the longitudinal direction of the vehicle), the output cable, which is one of the high voltage components, becomes long. Since the output cable can be protected, it is suitable for such vertical installation.
In such a fuel cell, it is preferable that a protective wall for protecting the output cable is formed on the end plate. In this case, it is more preferable that the output cable is wired along the inner wall surface of the protective wall. Such a protective wall functions to protect an output cable that is one of the high-voltage components.
From the viewpoint of shortening the length of the output cable as much as possible, it is preferable that the plurality of relays are arranged side by side. Moreover, it is also preferable that the plate-shaped member is provided in the cell lamination direction side of the said cell laminated body so that the said output cable may be covered. Furthermore, it is also preferable that the output terminal of the terminal plate is disposed at a position covered by the plate-like member.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a fuel cell having a structure suitable for mounting in a fuel cell vehicle in a vertically placed state (a state in which the cell stacking direction coincides with the front-rear direction of the vehicle).
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail based on an example of an embodiment shown in the drawings.

1 and 2 show a schematic configuration of a
The
The
Furthermore, manifolds (oxidizing gas manifold, fuel gas manifold, refrigerant manifold) for flowing each of oxidizing gas, fuel gas, and refrigerant in the cell stacking direction are formed at both ends of the separator (not shown). . In the
The
The seal member is made of an elastic body (gasket) that seals fluid by physical close contact with an adjacent member (for example, a separator), an adhesive that is bonded by chemical bonding with the adjacent member, or the like. be able to. For example, in this embodiment, a member that is physically sealed by elasticity is employed as the sealing member, but instead, a member that is sealed by chemical bonding such as the above-described adhesive may be employed. However, the specific example is not particularly limited to this, and other than this, for example, a sealing member called a sealant, a gel-like sealing material, a liquid packing, and the like can be used.
The
The
The
Next, the structure for protecting the
As described above, in the
Further, the
Furthermore, in this embodiment, the
The
The above-described embodiment is an example of a preferred embodiment of the present invention, but is not limited thereto, and various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. For example, in the present embodiment, the arrangement of the two
