Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an inverter device in which a capacitor module and a power semiconductor module are housed in the same casing. In particular, as an inverter device that has a relatively small device capacity and is required to have a small size and high reliability, such as for an electric vehicle, a capacitor module that constitutes a DC smoothing circuit and a three-phase inverter or a single-phase inverter for all or one phase. The present invention relates to an inverter device in which a power semiconductor module constituting an inverse conversion circuit is housed in the same casing.
In recent years, the importance of inverter devices has increased for the effective use of energy resources and protection of the global environment, and the need for miniaturization and higher reliability of inverter devices has also increased. In order to achieve both miniaturization and high reliability of the inverter device, it is indispensable to efficiently suppress a temperature rise due to heat generated from the power semiconductor element and the capacitor module of the main conversion unit.
For this reason, it is often the case that a temperature rise is suppressed by mounting a power semiconductor element or a capacitor module on a cooler to dissipate heat. The cooler is usually relatively large and has a large volume ratio in the apparatus. Temperature conditions are becoming more severe than ever, such as an increase in heat generation, an increase in the maximum ambient temperature due to use in harsh environments, and an increase in the mounting density of internal components.
If the efficiency of the cooler is to be improved in order to limit the temperature rise value to the allowable value of the parts or less, the size of the cooler becomes large, which is incompatible with the direction of downsizing. On the other hand, if the size of the cooler is reduced, the temperature rise of internal parts becomes excessive, leading to a decrease in reliability and a reduction in output rating. Considering an index of power density relative to output / volume, a decrease in output rating is contrary to miniaturization.
For example, in an inverter device, a method of suppressing the temperature rise of a capacitor module by forming a capacitor case envelope of the capacitor module with a material having high thermal conductivity and mounting it on a cooler to dissipate heat is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2005-2005. No. 12940 (Patent Document 1).
This conventional inverter device will be described with reference to FIGS. As shown in FIG. 17, the
As shown in FIG. 18, the
As shown in FIG. 19, the
FIG. 20 shows a cross section when the
However, the above-described conventional inverter device has the following technical problems. In the conventional inverter device, as shown in FIG. 19, a
However, even if such a device is used, it is indispensable to maintain the electrical insulation characteristics between the
As this sealing resin, a thermosetting epoxy resin or urethane resin is commonly used. The gap between the
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems of the prior art, and provides an inverter device that can reduce the thermal resistance of the heat transfer path from the capacitor element to the cooler and can be reduced in size and improved in reliability. For the purpose.
The present invention relates to an inverter device in which a capacitor module constituting a DC smoothing circuit and a power semiconductor module constituting an inverse conversion circuit for all phases or one phase of a three-phase inverter or a single-phase inverter are housed in the same casing. Further, the present invention provides an inverter in which a capacitor module constituting a DC smoothing circuit and a power semiconductor module constituting an inverse conversion circuit for all phases or one phase of a three-phase inverter or a single-phase inverter are housed in the same casing. In the apparatus, the capacitor module includes a plurality of capacitor elements, a plurality of capacitor elements connected in parallel, a part of which is a capacitor positive / negative terminal, and another part of which is a positive and negative connection conductor having a heat transfer section, A plurality of element pairs including the positive and negative connection conductors and the plurality of capacitor elements are provided, and the capacitor module is housed in a metal capacitor case having a bottom surface and a side wall, and the connection conductors on the surface of the bottom surface of the capacitor case An electrically insulating surface pattern is formed at a position corresponding to the heat transfer section , And wherein the inverter device incorporating a capacitor terminal block formed of an insulating material in the capacitor case.
According to the inverter device of the present invention, the capacitor element is thermally connected to the cooler via the connection conductor and the heat sink, and a high thermal resistance portion such as a sealing resin layer is provided in the heat transfer path from the capacitor element to the cooler. By reducing the thermal resistance of the heat transfer path and improving the heat transfer efficiency, the reliability can be improved even if the size is reduced.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
(First Embodiment) An inverter device according to a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, three
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the three sets of
The
As shown in FIG. 1, the
According to the inverter device of the present embodiment, the
(Second Embodiment) An inverter device according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The present embodiment is characterized by a
In the case of the present embodiment, the
According to the present embodiment, the
(Third Embodiment) FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view of a
In the case of the present embodiment, the
In the case of the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7, since the back surface pattern 8C is formed on the
(Fourth Embodiment) An inverter device according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 10 is a cross-sectional view of the
In the second and third embodiments, the
In the case of the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, the
(Fifth Embodiment) An inverter device according to a sixth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 11 shows the configuration of the
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 11, a
According to the present embodiment, the
(Sixth Embodiment) Next, a sixth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 13 and 14 show capacitor element pairs employed in the inverter device of the present embodiment, and FIG. 15 shows a
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 13 and 14,
According to the present embodiment, even when the temperature change occurs due to heat generation of the
(Seventh Embodiment) An inverter device according to a seventh embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 16 shows the configuration of the
As for the
Even in the present embodiment, the inverter device shown in FIG. 1 is configured by assembling in the same manner as in the second embodiment.
According to the present embodiment, since the
