篩28が乾燥畜糞から異物を篩い分けて除去するので、雑多な異物を含む畜糞をそのまま原料として畜糞肥料化装置1に供給できる。
混合資材配合装置38によって、乾燥畜糞に配合する各混合資材の割合を任意に設定できるので、有効成分の種類や含有量が異なる様々な肥料を製造できる。
出荷される肥料は乾燥して含水率が1〜5%となって重量が軽く、袋詰めされているので、搬送、保存等の取り扱いが容易である。
一次乾燥機14の燃焼室18から出る排気の熱を二次乾燥機58における肥料の乾燥に利用しているので、燃料の効率化が図られる。
