Abstract
【解決手段】一方の表現は、基本組み込みデータ型に共通する基本データ型表現であり、これはアンボックス化値型、もっと単純には値型と呼ばれている。基本データ型の各々は、型システムのオブジェクト階層にストア可能であるボックス化表現ももっている。この二重表現はユーザ定義の型にも拡張可能であるので、ユーザ定義の型はアンボックス化値型としても、オブジェクトとしても型システムのオブジェクト階層に存在することができる。この二重表現によると、コンパイラおよび/またはランタイム環境は、そのときの特定の要求に応じて、データ型に最も効果的で、効率的な表現を選択することができる。

Claims (1)
- コンパイラによってソースコードファイルから生成された出力ファイルを実行するためのランタイム環境において、
ソースコードファイルの中で指定されたアンボックス化値の型表現と、
アンボックス化値型表現に対応していて、アンボックス化値型表現をボックス化値型表現に変換するためのメタデータと、
ランタイムオペレーションで異なる型が検出されたことに応答して、コンパイラがアンボックス化値型表現とボックス化値型表現の間で変換することによって生成される出力コードと、
を備えたことを特徴とする統一データ型システム。
