一方、上記問題点を解消すべく、例えば特開平7−56141号公報や、特開2001−
266634号公報に示される様に、拡散板やシートの中心部分とその周囲、或いは液晶
パネルの略全面を複数のピン状支持部材で支持したものがあるが、前者の中心部分のみで
支持する場合、液晶パネルの大型化に伴って荷重が中心に集中して変形し、その周囲に配
置した支持部材が機能しないで輝度むらが発生し易いという問題があり、後者の場合には
、上記前者の問題と併せて支持部材の中で実際に機能している部分は数点であり、無駄と
なる支持部材があるという問題がある。
