Description

The present invention relates to a connector.

As a connector, a connector housing that accommodates a terminal fitting connected to the end of the electric wire, a seal member that is fitted into the electric wire and fitted into the rear end opening of the connector housing, and is attached to the connector housing from behind And a rear holder that holds the seal member and prevents it from coming off (see, for example, Patent Document 1). The rear holder is formed by opening an electric wire through hole through which the electric wire passes, and the electric wire is drawn out through the electric wire through hole. The rear holder is formed with a locking piece that can be locked to a locking portion provided on the peripheral surface of the connector housing so as to be able to bend and deform. When the rear holder is properly attached to the connector housing, the locking piece elastically locks the locking portion, and the rear holder is held by the connector housing.
JP 2004-171831 A

By the way, when the connector described above is fitted to the mating connector, the terminal fitting is fitted and connected to the mating terminal fitting, and the electric wire led out of the connector housing from that state is shaken, the electric wire and the electric wire An electric wire arranged inside the connector housing may vibrate in the clearance range existing between the through holes and the two terminal fittings may come into sliding contact with each other. If it does so, the connection position of both terminal metal fittings may fluctuate and connection reliability may be impaired.

The present invention has been completed based on the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to improve the connection reliability of terminal fittings.

As a means for achieving the above object, the invention according to claim 1 is a connector housing capable of accommodating a terminal fitting connected to an end of an electric wire, and fitted to the electric wire and opened on a rear surface of the connector housing. A seal member that seals the inside of the connector housing by being fitted into the opening that is inserted, and an electric wire through hole that allows the electric wire to pass therethrough, and is pressed against the connector housing from behind to hold the seal member. A rear holder that restricts the withdrawal, and the seal member is in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire and is in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the opening of the connector housing, An anti-sway part that is in close contact with the outer peripheral surface and in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the wire through hole in the rear holder. At where the structure is provided in tandem with the features.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect of the present invention, the rear holder is formed with a cylindrical portion having the wire through-hole projecting inside, and the steadying portion is formed on the cylindrical portion. It is characterized by being in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the wire through hole.

According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the second aspect, an inner peripheral surface of the wire through hole in the cylindrical portion is tapered toward the rear end of the cylindrical portion, and the runout The outer peripheral surface of the stopper is characterized by a taper shape corresponding to the inner peripheral surface of the wire through hole.

<Invention of Claim 1>
When the electric wire led out of the connector housing is shaken in a state where the connector housing is fitted to the mating connector housing, the steadying portion of the sealing member fitted to the electric wire comes into close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire. In addition, since the vibration of the electric wire in the connector housing can be suppressed by closely contacting the inner peripheral surface of the electric wire through hole in the rear holder, the terminal fitting connected to the end of the electric wire and the mating terminal fitting slide. Can be avoided. Therefore, the connection position of both terminal fittings is kept constant, and connection reliability is improved. In this case, since the clearance existing between the wire through hole and the wire is filled with the seal member, compared with the case where the outer peripheral surface of the wire is directly adhered to the inner peripheral surface of the wire through hole, There is a merit that it is possible to absorb the positional accuracy error that may occur in the meantime.

<Invention of Claim 2>
The rear holder is formed with a cylindrical part with a wire through hole protruding inside, and the steadying part is in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the wire through hole in the cylindrical part. It will hit for a long time, and the vibration of the electric wire in the connector housing can be surely suppressed.

<Invention of Claim 3>
The inner peripheral surface of the wire through-hole in the tube portion is tapered toward the rear end of the tube portion, and the outer peripheral surface of the steady rest portion is tapered corresponding to the inner peripheral surface of the wire through-hole. Therefore, when the electric wire drawn out from the electric wire through hole of the cylindrical portion is shaken, the fulcrum portion of the shake is tightly held and suppressed by the steadying portion. Therefore, it is difficult for the vibration force of the electric wire to be transmitted to the connecting portion of both terminal fittings, and connection reliability is further improved.

The diameter is gradually reduced from the base end connected to the rear wall 53 of 50 toward the protruding end. The rear portion of the seal member 98 is fitted into the electric wire through hole 55 of the cylindrical portion 56.

Here, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the seal member 98 is fitted into the inner space of the attachment portion 15, and is in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire W and is also in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the attachment portion 15. The seal main body 96 and the steady main body 96 are connected integrally to the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire W and are also attached to the inner peripheral surface of the electric wire through hole 55 in the cylindrical portion 56 (rear holder 50). 94, the steady rest portion 94 and the seal main body portion 96 are juxtaposed in the front-rear direction (axial direction). The seal body 96 is formed with a thickness that fills the space existing between the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire W and the inner peripheral surface of the mounting portion 15, and a plurality of seal main bodies 96 are provided along the circumferential direction on the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface. It has a strip lip 93. When the seal member 98 is attached to the attachment portion 15, the lip 93 is attached in a state compressed in the thickness direction with respect to the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire W and the inner peripheral surface of the attachment portion 15.

The steady rest portion 94 does not have a portion corresponding to the lip 93, and the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface thereof are flat surfaces without unevenness. The steady rest 94 protrudes coaxially with the seal member 96 from the center of the rear surface of the seal main body 96 toward the rear, and the inner peripheral surface thereof is connected to the inner peripheral surface of the seal main body 96 without a step. The electric wire contact surface 94A is disposed substantially horizontally. Further, the steady rest portion 94 has a cone shape corresponding to the shape of the cylindrical portion 56, the inner peripheral surface thereof is a circumferential surface along the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire W, and the outer peripheral surface thereof is the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion 56. A tapered surface along the surface (the inner peripheral surface of the wire through-hole 55) is used. In the natural state, the inner peripheral surface of the steadying portion 94 has an inner diameter that is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the electric wire W, and the outer circumferential surface of the steadying portion 94 has an outer diameter that is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the cylindrical portion 56. Yes. Therefore, when the seal member 98 is attached to the attachment portion 15, the steady rest portion 94 is in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire W and the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion 56, and is tightly held in a state of being crushed between both surfaces. The With the steady rest portion 94, the electric wire W in the cylindrical portion 56 is maintained in a state of being extended along the front-rear direction (axial direction) without being bent and deformed.

Further, an inner fitting portion 58 is formed on the inner surface (front surface) of the inner wall 53 at a position that is further forward than the outer peripheral edge portion by leaving the outer peripheral edge portion of the inner surface. The inner fitting portion 58 has an outer peripheral edge that forms an arc concentric with the inner wall 53 and an inner peripheral edge that communicates with the cylindrical portion 56, and the inner surface thereof is a flat surface that is cut substantially vertically, and comes into contact with the rear surface of the seal member 98. It is possible to arrive in the state. The inner fitting portion 58 is closely fitted in the attachment portion 15, and the outer peripheral surface thereof can be in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the attachment portion 15. A space between the outer peripheral surface of the inner fitting portion 58 and the inner peripheral surface of the attachment portion 15 is a fitting space in which the rear end opening edge of the attachment portion 15 can be fitted.

At the lower end portion of the peripheral wall 54, a bulged portion 61 having a cross-sectional gate shape bulging outward in the radial direction is formed, and a guide receiving groove 52 is formed in the bulged portion 61 so as to extend in the front-rear direction. ing. When the rear holder 50 is mounted on the mounting portion 15, the guide protrusions 36 enter the guide receiving grooves 52 of the bulging portion 61, so that rotation of the rear holder 50 around the axis is prevented and the mounting operation of the rear holder 50 is performed. Guided. Further, if the attachment portion 15 is to be attached to the rear holder 50 without taking the normal posture, the bulging portion 61 interferes with the rear end opening edge of the attachment portion 15, so that further attachment operation is restricted. It is possible to recognize that the posture of the rear holder 50 is irregular when the mounting of the rear holder 50 is started.

A pair of lock pieces 51 that can be elastically locked to the lock receiving portion 34 of the mounting portion 15 are formed on both the left and right sides of the peripheral wall 54. The lock piece 51 has a gate-shaped frame shape, and can be bent and deformed inward and outward between a pair of upper and lower slits 62 that open to the front end of the peripheral wall 54 and extend rearward. The lock piece 51 has a locking groove 63 that extends in the front-rear direction while leaving the front end of the lock piece 51 and opens at the rear end. In the process of attaching the rear holder 50 to the mounting portion 15, the front end portion of the lock piece 51 rides on the lock receiving portion 34 to bend and deform the lock piece 51. When the rear holder 50 is properly attached, the lock piece 51 is elastically restored. However, the lock receiving portion 34 is fitted into the locking groove 63, whereby the rear holder 50 is locked to the attachment portion 15 in a detachment restricted state.

A plurality of leading end widening convex portions 64 are provided on the inner peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 54 at intervals in the circumferential direction so that the leading end side is wider than the root side. Specifically, the tip widening convex portion 64 has a cross-sectional trapezoidal shape that is gradually widened from the root to the tip, specifically a cross-section isosceles trapezoidal shape, and is equally spaced in the circumferential direction, specifically with an angular difference of 90 degrees, There are four in all. The tip widening convex portion 64 is located at a position facing the concave portion 37 when the rear holder 50 faces the mounting portion 15, and can be jointly engaged with the concave portion 37, and is engaged with the concave portion 37 in the radial direction. Fit.
Further, a groove 65 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 54 at a position corresponding to the tip widening convex portion 64 described above so as to be back-to-back with the tip widening convex portion 64. The concave groove 65 has a circular arc cross section and is formed along the front-rear direction. Specifically, the concave groove 65 is formed over the entire length of the front-rear length of the peripheral wall 54.

Next, the assembly procedure of this embodiment will be described. First, the terminal fitting 30 connected to the end of the electric wire W is inserted into the cavity 16 of the female housing 10. The terminal fitting 30 enters the tower portion 13 from the mounting portion 15 and is elastically locked by the lance 17 on the tower portion 13 side.

Then, the seal member 98 fitted to the end of the electric wire W is fitted and held in the attachment portion 15, and the rear holder 50 through which the electric wire W is passed through the electric wire through hole 55 is rearwardly mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the attachment portion 15. Cover from. At that time, the guide protrusions 36 of the attachment portion 15 are made to enter the entrance (opening) of the guide receiving groove 52 of the rear holder 50, and the tip widening protrusion 64 of the rear holder 50 is made to enter the opening (opening) of the recess 37 of the attachment portion 15. Let it enter. In this case, by positioning the concave groove 65 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the rear holder 50 corresponding to the concave portion 37 on the other side, the tip widening convex portion 64 can be aligned with the concave portion 37 and accurately fitted. Become. When the rear holder 50 is pushed and moved forward along the concave portion 37 from this state, the frame portion 35 of the mounting portion 15 enters the slit 62 of the peripheral wall 54 from the front, and the tip of the lock piece 51 is connected to the lock receiving portion 34. Riding on the guide surface while sliding, the lock piece 51 is bent and deformed. When the rear holder 50 is put on the mounting portion 15 at a normal depth, the inner fitting portion 58 of the back wall 53 fits into the rear end opening edge of the mounting portion 15, and the seal member 98 held in the mounting portion 15. In addition to being prevented from coming off, the lock receiving portion 34 is fitted into the locking groove 63 as the lock piece 51 is elastically restored. The lock piece 51 is engaged with the engagement surface of the lock receiving portion 34 in the direction in which the rear holder 50 is detached, and thus the rear holder 50 is reliably prevented from coming off. Further, when the rear holder 50 is normally attached to the mounting portion 15 in this way, the rear holder 50 is brought into close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the seal member 98 from the inner surface of the back wall 53 to the inner surface of the cylindrical portion 56.

Next, the tower portion 13 is fitted into the hood portion 91 of the male housing 90 on the other side. When the male and female housings 10, 90 are properly fitted to each other, the lock arm 12 elastically locks the lock portion 95, and the housings 10, 90 are locked. When the housings 10 and 90 are properly fitted, the male tab 92 is inserted into the main body 31 of the terminal fitting 30 at a normal depth, and the connection between the terminal fittings 30 and 92 is taken. The inner peripheral surface of the hood portion 91 is brought into close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the seal ring 97 and a seal between the housings 10 and 90 is taken.

By the way, even if the electric wire W led out from the female housing 10 is shaken in the axis crossing direction after the two housings 10 and 90 are fitted, the electric wire W is placed on the seal member 98 at a position corresponding to the cylindrical portion 56 of the rear holder 50. Since it is held in the play-restricted state by the steady rest portion 94, the electric wire W does not vibrate in the mounting portion 15, and the terminal fitting 30 connected to the end of the electric wire W does not vibrate.

As described above, according to the present embodiment, when both the male and female housings 10 and 90 are in the normal fitting state, even if the electric wire W led out to the outside of the female housing 10 is shaken, it is fitted to the electric wire W. The steady rest portion 94 of the attached seal member 98 is in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire W, and is also in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the electric wire through hole 55, thereby vibrating the electric wire W in the female housing 10, and thus the terminal fitting 30. Therefore, it is possible to avoid a situation in which both terminal fittings 30 and 92 are in sliding contact with each other. Thereby, the connection position of both the terminal metal fittings 30 and 92 is kept constant, and connection reliability is improved. In this case, since the clearance existing between the electric wire through hole 55 and the electric wire W is filled with the seal member 98, the electric wire penetrating as compared with the case where the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire W is directly adhered to the inner peripheral surface of the electric wire through hole 55. There is a merit that the positional accuracy deviation that may occur between the hole 55 and the electric wire W can be absorbed. That is, when the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire W is brought into close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the electric wire through hole 55, if the hole diameter of the electric wire through hole 55 and the outer diameter of the electric wire W are deviated from a predetermined value due to a dimensional error, Although the close contact state between the inner peripheral surface of the through hole 55 and the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire W cannot be secured, according to the present embodiment, the hole diameter of the electric wire through hole 55 and the outer diameter of the electric wire W deviate from a predetermined value due to a dimensional error. Even if the seal member 98 is retractable between the wire through hole 55 and the wire W, the error can be absorbed. Therefore, the inner peripheral surface of the wire through hole 55 and the wire W A close contact state with the outer peripheral surface can be secured.

Further, the rear holder 50 is formed with a cylindrical portion 56 having an electric wire through hole 55 projecting rearward, and the steadying portion 94 is in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the electric wire through hole 55 in the cylindrical portion 56. Will hit the cylinder portion 56 for a long time in its length range, and vibration in the female housing 10 can be reliably suppressed.

Further, the inner peripheral surface of the wire through hole 55 in the cylindrical portion 56 has a tapered shape tapered toward the rear, and the outer peripheral surface of the steady rest portion 94 has a tapered shape corresponding to the inner peripheral surface of the wire through hole 55. Therefore, when the electric wire W drawn out from the electric wire through hole 55 is shaken, the fulcrum portion of the shake is tightly held and suppressed by the steadying portion 94. Therefore, the vibration force of the electric wire W is not easily transmitted to the connecting portion of both the terminal fittings 30 and 92, and the connection reliability is further improved.
