Description

用途によっては、各細胞とそのマーキング粒子からなるアセンブリ、及び、その環境との間の屈折率の差を増大し得る、細胞例えば金粒子マークすることは有利である。生物学的細胞については、ポリマー粒子は小さな金粒子の代わりに用いられ、生物学的対象が移植され得る他の材料を用いることができ;またしても、これらの粒子は細胞より小さく、その屈折率は水等の媒体の屈折率とは大きく異なっており、マーカー(標識)として用いられ得る。

Claims (10)

  1. 粒子(100)を選別する方法であって:
    粒子及びマーカーのアセンブリであって、粒子自体の屈折率とは異なる屈折率を有するアセンブリを形成するために粒子をマーキングする段階と、
    支持体(108)の少なくとも一の導波路(104)上に前記粒子(100)を配置する段階と、
    前記導波路を介して光照射を入射して前記導波路表面上にエバネセント波を形成して、前記導波路上の粒子を変位し、粒子を複数のクラスターに分離する段階と、を備えた粒子選別方法。
  2. 選別される粒子が同一の組成であるが、異なる寸法を有する請求項に記載の方法。
  3. 選別される粒子が同一若しくはほぼ同一の寸法を有するが、異なる組成である請求項に記載の方法。
  4. 前記粒子が細胞、マクロ分子、又は、ミクロボールである請求項1からのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  5. 入射される照射は近紫外と赤外との間のスペクトル範囲である請求項1からのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  6. 前記粒子がミクロボールであり、ミクロボールが細胞をマーキングし、照射が赤外の範囲である請求項1からのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  7. 粒子のうちのいくつかは金属であるか、又は、金属粒子によってマーキングされている請求項1からのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  8. 粒子のうちのいくつかは粒子であるか、又は、粒子によってマーキングされている請求項に記載の方法。
  9. 導波路に入射される光は磁気的横波(TM)モードで偏光している請求項1からのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
  10. 前記粒子が液体媒体に浸漬される請求項1からのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
