Abstract
【解決手段】 モノポーラ電気外科手術装置において高周波電流を送出する高周波電源であって、電気エネルギィ源と、活性電極をエネルギィ源に取り外し可能に取り付ける活性電極コネクタと、少なくとも二つの分散電極をエネルギィ源に取り外し可能に取り付ける二つの分散コネクタと、活性電極から少なくとも二つの分散電極を流れる電流をバランスさせる電流バランシング回路と、を具える高周波電源。

Description
本発明は、モノポーラ電気外科手術における電流を送出する装置に関する。
通常、電気外科手術では、無線周波数(RF)エネルギィなどの高周波電気エネルギィを用いて、組織を切断しまたは乾燥させる、血液を凝固させて毛細血管からの出血を止める、組織を壊死させる、などする。例えば、高周波電気エネルギィは、切込みを開始し、あるいは深くする、及び/又は、切り込みを行う間に切断される毛細血管を凝固させるために、電気外科用メスと共に用いることができる。別の例では、肝臓の癌性転移部などのターゲット組織の病変部に高周波エネルギィを送出して、病変部に壊死を起こすことができる。
本発明は、モノポーラ電気外科手術において高周波電流を送出し、モニタし、バランスを取り、及び/又は分散させる装置に関する。本発明の様々な実施例によれば、患者に望ましくない火傷を負わせることを防ぐことによって、電気外科手術システムの安全性を強化することができる。
図に示す実施例は、患者のターゲット組織部位に高周波電気エネルギィを送出して、モノポーラ電気外科手術手順を実行し、及び/又は、患者からの高周波エネルギィ電流を分散させるように意図している。ターゲット−組織部位は、人体のいずれに配置しても良く、高周波エネルギィは、あらゆる好適な目的でターゲット組織に当てることができる。例えば、本発明の様々な実施例は、皮膚と皮下組織の切開、いずれかの適宜の位置にある毛細血管の凝固、及び/又は、例えば肝臓、前立腺、腎臓、あるいはその他の固体器官などにおける癌性腫瘍を壊死させるのに使用することができる。本発明の様々な実施例によって送出され分散される高周波数エネルギィには、無線周波数(RF)エネルギィ、マイクロ波エネルギィ、などが含まれる。
Claims (6)
- 高周波電流をモノポーラ電気外科手術装置に送出する高周波電源において:
電気エネルギィ源と;
前記エネルギィ源に活性電極を取り外し可能に取り付ける活性電極コネクタと;
前記エネルギィ源に少なくとも二つの分散電極を取り外し可能に接続する少なくとも二つの分散コネクタと;
前記活性電極から前記少なくとも二つの分散電極を通る電流をバランスさせる電流バランシング回路と;
を具えることを特徴とする高周波電源。 - 請求項1に記載の高周波電源が、更に、前記少なくとも二つの分散電極の個々の電流あるいは抵抗を監視するモニタを具えることを特徴とする高周波電源。
- 請求項2に記載の高周波電源が、更に、いずれか一つの分散電極を流れる前記電流が別の分散電極を流れる電流を所定の量だけ超えている場合、あるいは、いずれか一つの分散電極の抵抗が所定の最大抵抗を超えている場合に、信号を出力するアラームを具えることを特徴とする高周波電源。
- 請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の高周波電源が更に、第3の分散電極を前記エネルギィ源に取り外し可能に取り付ける第3の分散電極コネクタを具えることを特徴とする高周波電源。
- 請求項4に記載の高周波電源が更に、第4の分散電極を前記エネルギィ源に取り外し可能に取り付ける第4の分散コネクタを具えることを特徴とする高周波電源。
- 請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の高周波電源において、前記エネルギィ源が、約1ないし3アンペアの電流を提供するように構成されていることを特徴とする高周波電源。
