Claims (7)
- IP型のネットワークに接続された端末により、前記IP型のネットワークでDVBサービスを発見する方法であって、
前記端末は、第1のIP伝送アドレスと第1のポート番号とを使用し、前記ポートで前記IPアドレスに伝送されるトランスポートストリームを受信するステップと、
前記端末は、少なくともネットワーク情報テーブル(NIT)を前記ストリームから抽出するステップと、
前記ネットワーク情報テーブル(NIT)に含まれるネットワークの記述子は、IP伝送アドレス及び関連のポートを指定し、前記端末は、前記ポートで前記IPアドレスに伝送されたトランスポートストリームの少なくとも一部に接続し、それにより関連のサービス記述テーブル(SDT)を読み取るステップと、
前記端末はこの情報を使用し、場合によって前記ネットワークで利用可能なサービスの単一のリストを構築するステップと
のうち少なくとも1つを有することを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、
前記第1のIP伝送アドレス及び前記第1のポート番号は、ユーザにより入力される方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、
前記第1のIPアドレス及び前記第1のポート番号は、前記端末により前記ネットワークから得られる方法。 - 請求項1ないし3のうちいずれか1項に記載の方法であって、
前記ストリームは、単一のDVBサービスのみを有する方法。 - 請求項1ないし4のうちいずれか1項に記載の方法であって、
前記サービスのリストは、前記第1のポートで前記第1のIP伝送アドレスで利用可能なストリームに含まれるNITに含まれる方法。 - IPネットワークに接続する手段を介してIP伝送アドレスに接続する手段と、
前記IP伝送アドレスに伝送されるDVBストリームをデコードする手段と
を有する装置であって、
前記DVBストリームをデコードする手段は、ストリームから抽出され、前記IPネットワークに適したネットワーク記述子を含むNITを分析し、前記NITに記載された各IP伝送アドレスに接続する機能を有し、それにより、好ましくは請求項1ないし5のうちいずれか1項に記載の方法に従って、それからDVBストリームを読み取り、それから前記ネットワークで提供されるサービスについての情報を抽出することを特徴とする装置。 - NITに含まれることを目的とするDVBストリームを伝送するサービスの記述子であって、
ストリームサーバのIP伝送アドレスと、前記サーバがIP型のネットワークでDVBストリームを伝送するポート番号とを有することを特徴とする記述子。
