<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire screen device which facilitates the attachment/detachment of a wire screen. <P>SOLUTION: This wire screen device 4 is provided in a window 3 in which a sash 2 is openably/closably provided in a window opening 51 formed in the exterior wall section 1 of a building. The wire screen 6 is formed by stretching a freely deformable net 62 in an annular frame 61 with a self-restoring force, which is composed of an elastic material. The wire screen 6 is deformed so that opposed portions of the frame 61 can get over the opposed edges of both the mounting members 5. Thus, the frame 61 is housed in the opening 51 of the mounting member 5 by the self-restoring force, so that the wire screen 6 can be mounted.
