Description

The present invention relates to an application head composed of a fixed roll provided with an edge member for applying a thin layer of a high-viscosity application liquid on one surface of a substrate traveling in one direction.

。   Conventionally, a coating head composed of a fixed roll having an edge member for coating a thin layer of a high-viscosity coating solution on one surface of a substrate traveling in one direction has been a notch bar coater or a knife coater. -It is well known as an application head. The edge members in these coating heads are usually formed integrally with a fixed roll (see Patent Document 1).

。   By the way, when the edge member is integrally formed with a member such as a fixed roll as a support, the entire coating head must be replaced when the edge member is worn. Therefore, there is an application head in which the edge member is configured separately from the support and the edge member is fixed to the support with a clamp bolt (see Patent Document 2).

特開2000ー117170号公報JP 2000-117170 A 特開2003ー136006号公報JP 2003-136006 A

However, since the edge member is fixed with the clamp bolt when the edge member is configured separately from the support body according to the conventional technique, it is necessary to form a screw hole for the bolt in the edge member made of a hard material. In addition, the manufacturing process is cumbersome and the manufacturing cost is increased. Moreover, there is a possibility that the clamping bolts tend to vary and the edge member cannot be uniformly supported over the entire length.

The present invention has been made in view of such problems of the prior art, and the object of the present invention is to use a wedge-type holding member that fixes and positions the edge member to the fixing roll, An object of the present invention is to provide an application head that is easy to attach and detach, and that can be reliably held, and that is relatively inexpensive to manufacture.

In order to achieve the above object, the coating head according to the present invention forms a groove groove parallel to the axis of the roll on the outer periphery of the fixed roll, and the thickness of the coating solution is reduced in the groove groove. An edge member and a wedge-shaped holding member for fixing and positioning the edge member to the fixing roll on the front side of the edge member in the advancing direction of the base member are inserted, and the fixing roll is inserted into the base from the groove. A chamfered portion is provided on the material traveling direction side, the edge member is made of a hard material, and the wedge-shaped holding member is press-fitted from the opening side of the groove to be fixed to the fixing roll. is there.

Further, a shim member is disposed on the bottom surface of the concave groove.

Further, a spacer is disposed between the wedge-shaped holding member and the fixed roll in the concave groove.

In the coating head according to the present invention, a concave groove parallel to the axis of the roll is formed on the outer periphery of the fixed roll, and an edge member and a base material for increasing the thickness of the coating solution are formed in the concave groove. Since the wedge-shaped holding member that fixes and positions the edge member to the fixed roll is inserted on the front side of the edge member in the traveling direction, the edge member is fixed to the fixed roll by the wedge-shaped holding member. The edge member is fixed without any processing such as screw holes, so it becomes a cost-effective edge member, and it is easy and accurate to attach the long edge member to the fixing roll easily and accurately. It is easy to remove and can be easily reused by polishing the edge member. Also, the edge member is made of a hard material, so that the service life of the edge member can be extended. .

In addition, when the shim member is arranged on the bottom surface of the groove, the height of the edge tip with respect to the fixed roll does not change even when the edge member is worn again. A coating head having an edge member capable of accurately forming a thin layer of the coating solution on one surface and extending the life of the fixed roll can be obtained.

Furthermore, when a spacer is disposed between the wedge-shaped holding member and the fixed roll in the groove, the wedge-shaped holding member can be accurately inserted, and the edge member is fixed to the fixed roll. Thus, the application head can be securely attached to and held.

In an application head consisting of a fixed roll with an edge member for applying a thin layer of a high-viscosity coating solution on one side of a substrate traveling in one direction, the axis of the roll is placed on the outer periphery of the fixed roll. Parallel groove grooves are formed, and an edge member for reducing the thickness of the coating liquid is formed in the groove groove, and the edge member is fixedly positioned on the fixed roll on the front side of the edge member in the traveling direction of the base material. A wedge-shaped holding member is inserted, the fixing roll is provided with a chamfered portion from the concave groove on the traveling direction side of the base material, the edge member is made of a hard material, and the wedge-shaped holding member is An application head that is press-fitted from the opening side of the groove and fixed to the fixed roll.

FIG. 1 is a plan view of a main part of a coating head suitable for carrying out the present invention, FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line XX, and FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of a part A.

1 to 3, reference numeral 1 denotes a fixed roll, which is used, for example, as a notch bar in a notch bar coater or a knife in a knife coater. The fixed roll 1 has, for example, a length of about The length is 1500 mm and the diameter is about 200 mm. Boss portions 2 and 2 for fixing the fixed roll 1 to a coater base (not shown) are formed at both ends of the fixed roll 1.

Further, for example, two concave grooves 3, 3 parallel to the axis of the fixed roll 1 are formed on the outer periphery of the long fixed roll 1 over substantially the entire length of the roll. A long edge member 4 and a long wedge-shaped holding member 5 are inserted into the concave groove 3. In addition, you may comprise the said wedge-shaped holding member 5 by a multiple (for example, 2-5 pieces) division body.

The edge member 4 is made of a hard material such as ceramics, cermet, or cemented carbide, and the cemented carbide is particularly effective from the viewpoint of edge strength and wear resistance. Further, as a result of experiments, among the cemented carbides, a cemented carbide having tungsten carbide as a main component and an average grain size of less than 1 micron is particularly preferable. The edge member 4 is also preferably subjected to a surface treatment to further increase its wear resistance.

The edge member 4 is fixed to the fixed roll 1 by the wedge-shaped holding member 5, and the surface where the fixed roll 1 and the edge member 4 are in contact is preferably a smooth surface. It is preferable to have a ten-point average surface roughness of 5 microns or less.

The wedge-shaped holding member 5 is made of steel and performs a wedge action with a tapered structure on both sides. A screw holding hole 6 is formed on the long central axis at intervals, and the wedge holding hole 6 is interposed through each screw holding hole 6. The wedge-shaped holding member 5 is fixed to the fixing roll 1 by the lever screw 7. When the screw 7 is tightened, the edge member 4 is closely fixed to the fixing roll 1 and positioned by the wedge action of the wedge-type holding member 5.

An edge member 4 and a wedge-shaped holding member 5 are inserted into the concave groove 3 from the opening side and attached to the fixing roll 1. The edge member 4 and the wedge in the concave groove 3 are attached to the concave groove 3. The attachment part of the mold holding member 5 is in the order from the edge member 4 to the wedge mold holding member 5 along the arrow A which is the traveling direction of the base material.

A chamfer 8 is formed from the groove 3 to the fixed roll 1 in the running direction of the substrate.

In the coating head having the above-described configuration, when a base material (not shown) accompanied by a high-viscosity coating solution on one side is fed in the direction of arrow A in the immediate vicinity of the fixed roll 1, the tip of the edge member 4 The coating liquid on one surface of the base material is applied as a thin layer to the one surface of the base material, but the long edge member 4 is evenly attached to the fixed roll 1 by the wedge-shaped holding member 5. Therefore, the coating solution applied to one surface of the substrate becomes a uniform thin layer. Further, since the edge member 4 is made of a hard material, the wear of the edge member 4 can be reduced and the service life can be extended.

Further, a concave groove 3 parallel to the axis of the roll is formed on the outer periphery of the fixed roll 1, and the edge member 4 for increasing the thickness of the coating solution and the traveling direction of the substrate are formed in the concave groove 3. Then, a wedge-type holding member 5 for fixing and positioning the edge member 4 to the fixed roll 1 is inserted on the front side of the edge member 4, and the edge member 4 is fixed to the fixed roll 1 by the wedge-type holding member 5. Therefore, the manufacturing cost of the edge member 4 is low, and the long edge member 4 can be easily and accurately attached to the fixing roll 1 and can be easily removed. The edge member 4 can be easily reused by polishing.

In FIG. 3, a shim member 9 for shim-up of the edge member 4 is disposed on the bottom surface of the groove 3.

As described above, the edge of the edge member 4 is worn sequentially by the use of the edge member 4. Accordingly, the screw 7 of the wedge-shaped holding member 5 is loosened to remove the wedge-shaped holding member 5 and the edge member 4 from the fixing roll 1, and the shim member 9 located on the bottom surface of the groove 3 is selected. The removed edge member 4 and wedge-shaped holding member 5 are placed together with the selected shim member 9 in the concave groove 3 of the fixing roll 1 to shim up the edge member 4. The screw 7 of the wedge-shaped holding member 5 is tightened to assemble the edge member 4 to the fixing roll 1, and in this state, the edge member 4 is polished along the outline of the fixing roll 1 to fix the fixing roller 1. The edge of the tip of the edge member 4 is positioned at a desired position with respect to the rod 1. Since the shim member 9 is for shim-up of the edge member 4 as described above, the shim member 9 may be disposed only on the lower surface of the edge member 4.

Due to the shim-up of the edge member 4, the height of the tip of the edge with respect to the fixed roll 1 does not change even when the edge member 4 is worn again, so that the thin layer of the coating liquid on one surface of the substrate can be accurately measured. The edge member 4 can be molded. Moreover, the contact between the fixing roll 1 and the edge member 4 and the edge member 4 and the wedge-shaped holding member 5 is accurately performed, and not only the mounting and fixing of the edge member 4 to the fixing roll 1 are ensured, Since it is not necessary to repair the fixed roll 1, the life of the fixed roll 1 can be extended.

FIG. 4 shows another embodiment of means for attaching and fixing the edge member 4 to the fixing roll 1. In this embodiment, the spacer 10 is disposed between the wedge-shaped holding member 5 and the fixed roll 1. Since the other components are substantially the same as those of the previous embodiments, the same reference numerals are given and description thereof is omitted.

The spacer 10 is disposed in the concave groove 3, and the inclination angle of the surface contacting the wedge-shaped holding member 5 is substantially the same as the wedge angle of the wedge-shaped holding member 5, and the fixed roller The inclination angle of the surface in contact with the rod 1 is substantially perpendicular.

As described above, when the edge member 4 is reused, the edge member 4 is shimmed up to sufficiently adjust the contact surface between the fixed roll 1 and the edge member 4 and between the edge member 4 and the wedge-shaped holding member 5. Although possible, a problem remains in the contact surface between the wedge-shaped holding member 5 and the fixed roll 1. Therefore, a spacer 10 is disposed between the wedge-shaped holding member 5 and the fixed roll 1 so that the spacer 10 can be shimmed up. As the spacer 10 is also shimmed up, the contact between the wedge-type holding member 5 and the spacer 10 and the contact between the spacer 10 and the fixed roll 1 are made more accurately, and the stability of the wedge-type holding member 5 is improved. The edge member 4 can be attached and fixed to the fixing roll 1 more reliably.
