ペットボトルは前述の如く、その構造により、解体には強度や弾力の違いが、大きな障害となる。頭部(注ぎ口部)は肉厚ゆえに切断が困難である。底部は三次元的な構造故に潰すことが困難である。
注ぎ口部については、平成12年11月1日に、当方が提出した、特許願、「ペットボトル頭部の、注ぎ口部分を切断する機構。」を発展させた機構を用い、頭部を切り離すことが出来る。(固定部品は要らない。)
底部を潰す力に対しての抵抗力を軽減させるには、図5、図6に示すように、ペットボトルの底部の角近辺の胴体を、一方の平面だけを残して切り裂けば、図1の−1−のような形状となり、その抵抗が大幅に軽減される。又底部が平面的で、ペットボトル本体についている為に、本体と同時に、回転刃−2−及び羽根−5−によって、一工程で切断することが出来る。底部全体を本体から切り離す必要はない。
それを図5、図6について説明すれば、ペットボトル移動用容器−26−に入ったペットボトル−1−は、切断用刃物−30−に向かって移動する。ペットボトル−1−の頭部(注ぎ口部)は、首部が切断用刃物−30−を通過する際に切断される。
