Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a camera, and more particularly to a digital camera provided with an image display unit, which can maintain the holding property by the grip part when photographing, and protect the image display part by the grip part when carrying or storing. .
In Patent Document 1, a substantially rectangular parallelepiped camera body provided with a photographic lens and an image sensor, and a monitor for displaying a subject image captured by the image sensor are provided on the back surface, and can be rotated to the side of the image pickup unit. There is disclosed a digital camera having a grip portion coupled to the.
According to this digital camera, when storing or carrying, the camera body is rotated with respect to the grip portion so that the camera body and the grip portion are flat. Is rotated 90 degrees forward with respect to the grip portion to take a photographing posture.
However, the camera disclosed in Patent Document 1 has only a structure in which the camera body and the grip portion are relatively rotatably connected, and the monitor provided on the grip portion is protected when being carried or stored. In order to do this, a dedicated cover must be prepared and attached to the monitor, which is troublesome.
On the other hand, in an interchangeable lens type camera having a large lens barrel, in order to stably hold the camera during shooting, the user's right hand holds the grip portion of the camera body and the left hand holds the lens barrel.
However, a camera equipped with a large lens barrel has poor portability because the grip part is provided so as to protrude sideways, and if the grip part is made small for the purpose of forcibly improving portability, There is a drawback that the weight balance between the main body and the lens barrel is deteriorated, the retainability is lowered, and the operability is deteriorated.
The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and in a camera equipped with an image display unit, the display screen of the image display unit can be protected without bothering and can be downsized when being carried or stored. An object is to provide a camera that can be achieved. More specifically, to achieve the contradictory purpose of having good portability and storage property even in a camera having a large lens barrel and not having a thin shape, while having a holding property like a camera during operation. Provide a camera that can.
In order to achieve the object, the invention according to claim 1 includes a camera body provided with a photographing lens and an image display unit, and a grip part connected to the camera body so as to be able to bend and stretch. The section is movable to a first position that bends and covers the image display section, and a second position that extends and functions as a grip.
According to the first aspect, at the time of carrying or storing, the grip portion is bent with respect to the camera body and is positioned at the first position covering the image display portion of the camera body. As a result, the image display unit can be covered with a grip part constituting the camera without covering the image display unit with a separate cover independent of the camera, and the image display unit can be covered with a simple operation of bending the grip unit. Therefore, the user does not feel annoyed. In addition, since the grip portion protruding sideways from the camera body is bent, the entire camera is reduced in size, and portability and storage are improved. On the other hand, at the time of shooting, since the grip portion is extended and protrudes to the side of the camera body, that is, at the second position that functions as a grip, a shape that can be easily gripped can be achieved during use. Therefore, the present invention can achieve the contradictory purpose of providing good portability and storage even in a camera having a large lens barrel and not having a thin shape, while having a holding characteristic like a camera during operation. . At the time of shooting, the user holds the grip portion with the right hand and operates the shooting button, and with the left hand, in the case of a camera body, particularly a large lens barrel, holds the lens barrel like a single-lens reflex camera. Therefore, it becomes a form suitable for one shot photography. Further, it is preferable that a click mechanism for restricting the position of the grip portion at the first position and the second position is provided in the hinge portion which is the rotation connecting portion.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, based on a position detection unit that detects a position of the grip portion with respect to the camera body, and a position detected by the position detection unit, the first position A switch means for turning off the power of the camera and turning on the power at the second position is provided.
According to claim 2, since the power supply of the camera is automatically turned on / off in conjunction with the bending / extending operation of the grip portion, there is no need to bother the power on / off operation with the dedicated power switch, and the operability is good. For example, it is possible to realize a rapid shooting property.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, the first position is based on a position detection unit that detects a position of the grip portion with respect to the camera body, and a position detected by the position detection unit. Switching means for disabling the camera power ON and enabling the power ON at the second position is provided.
According to the third aspect of the present invention, since the camera is turned off at the first position, which is a mode when being carried, erroneous operation when being carried can be prevented.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the first, second, or third aspect, the grip portion is movable to a third position that is bent beyond the second position in a direction opposite to the first position. It is characterized by being.
According to claim 4, when the grip portion is positioned at the third position, the grip portion approaches the center of gravity of the camera body, and the right wrist of the user holding the grip portion is not bent. Since it can be held, the shape of the grip part is suitable for long-time shooting. Thereby, a camera becomes a form which is easy to hold | maintain like the camera suitable at the time of video recording. In this case, the user generally starts moving image shooting by holding the grip portion with the right hand and operating the recording button, and the left hand is not particularly used to hold the camera. Further, in this moving image shooting mode, the shooting button is set so as to be inoperative, so that even if the shooting button is inadvertently pressed, moving image shooting is not hindered. Further, the click mechanism for restricting the position of the grip portion to the third position and the rotation angle limiting mechanism for preventing the grip portion from further rotating from the third position are the rotation connecting portions. It is preferable to provide the hinge part.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the fourth aspect, when the grip portion is positioned at the second position, the mode is switched to the still image shooting mode, and the grip portion is positioned at the third position. In this case, the first switching means for switching the operation mode to the moving image shooting mode is provided.
According to the fifth aspect, mobile (storage) → still image shooting → moving image shooting → still image shooting by a simple operation of continuously moving the grip portion to the first position, the second position, and the third position. → Transition between mobile (storage) modes can be automatically performed by the first switching means. Further, since the user can clearly know which mode the camera is currently in, depending on the form of the grip portion, the user can intuitively perform an operation corresponding to the operation mode.
According to the sixth aspect of the present invention, there is provided selection means for selecting a plurality of modes including a moving image mode and a still image mode, and the still image is displayed when the grip portion is located at the second position. Selection mode switching means is provided that enables selection of a shooting mode and enables selection of a moving image shooting mode when the grip portion is located at the third position.
According to the sixth aspect, the still image shooting mode can be selected by the selection state switching means when the grip portion is located at the second position, and the grip portion is located at the third position. If it is, the moving image shooting mode can be selected. That is, the mode suitable for the position can be selected according to the position of the grip part, instead of forcibly switching the mode based on the position of the grip part.
According to a seventh aspect of the present invention, in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth aspect, the photographic lens is detachably attached to the camera body, and the detachment detecting unit detects the detachment of the lens. It has the 2nd switching means which switches the operation mode of a camera to a predetermined mode based on the detected information.
According to the seventh aspect, when it is detected by the attachment / detachment detection means that the lens is not attached to the camera body, the second switching means changes the camera mode to a photo such as a moving image reproduction mode or a still image reproduction mode. Since the mode is automatically switched to a predetermined mode such as a player mode or a music player mode, an intuitive operation can be performed even in such a player mode because the lens is not attached.
According to the camera of the present invention, it is possible to protect the display screen of the image display unit without bothering, to achieve downsizing when being carried or stored, and to maintain the characteristics of the camera during operation. However, it is possible to achieve the contradictory purpose of obtaining good portability and storage even in a camera having a large lens barrel and not having a thin shape.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of a camera according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In the

The AF control in the

The

Next, automatic switching between power ON / OFF of the

As shown in FIG. 5, a switch (position detection means) 102 for detecting the rotation angle of the
By the way, the
この切り替えはCPU(第2の切替手段)50が実行する。
When the photographing

6A, 6B, and 6C are plan views of the
6A shows a first position covering the
When the
As described above, in the
Next, a method of using the
First, when the grip portion is extended from the first position of the power OFF to the second position or bent to the third position and the power is turned on (S100), the
Thereafter, when the shape (form) of the
On the other hand, if it is detected in S110 that the
As described above, according to the
The basic feature of the
On the other hand, at the time of shooting, since the
Therefore, according to the
At the time of shooting, the user holds the
When the grip portion is positioned at the third position shown in FIG. 3, the
As a result, the
As will be repeatedly described, by a simple operation of continuously moving the
Further, the CPU (switching means) 50 may disable the power supply of the
Further, the CPU (selection state switching means) 50 can select the still image shooting mode when the
