Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an inkjet head cleaning apparatus for immersing an inkjet head in a cleaning liquid and ultrasonically vibrating the cleaning liquid to remove clogging of nozzles of the inkjet head to normalize the ink ejection function of the inkjet head.
In inkjet printing, images are created by ejecting ink from the nozzles. If the nozzles are clogged to some extent by software correction, it is possible to deal with mask processing etc. without using that part. Although possible, it is not a basic solution.
Therefore, conventionally, an apparatus has been proposed in which an inkjet head is immersed in a cleaning liquid and the cleaning liquid is ultrasonically vibrated (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).
In the cleaning of inkjet heads, there is certainly a temporary effect just by applying ultrasonic vibration to the cleaning liquid, but because it is not known at which frequency the vibration will give good cleaning results for individual heads. If the vibration applied to the cleaning liquid has a single frequency, it is not certain that a really good cleaning result is drawn for each target head.
The present invention aims to solve the above problems.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides an ink jet which immerses an ink jet head in a cleaning liquid in a head cleaning container of an ultrasonic cleaning machine and ultrasonically vibrates the cleaning liquid with the ultrasonic cleaning machine to clean the inside of the ink jet head. In the head cleaning device, the ultrasonic cleaning machine is provided with a frequency conversion unit, and the inkjet head is cleaned while changing the frequency of ultrasonic vibration applied to the cleaning liquid.
According to the present invention, the inkjet head is cleaned by changing the frequency of the ultrasonic vibration stepwise and periodically by the frequency converter.
Further, the present invention connects the ink supply port of the inkjet head and a cleaning liquid tank containing a cleaning liquid via a liquid flow path, and supplies the cleaning liquid in the cleaning liquid tank to the ink supply port of the inkjet head by driving a pump. The head cleaning container and the cleaning liquid tank are connected via a liquid flow path, and the cleaning liquid in the head cleaning container is returned to the cleaning liquid tank by driving a pump, and enters from the ink supply port of the inkjet head. The cleaning liquid coming out of the liquid is circulated through the cleaning liquid tank.
In the present invention, a filtration device is provided in the circulation channel of the cleaning liquid.
According to the present invention, the nozzle actuator of the inkjet head is driven during the cleaning operation of the inkjet head.
In the present invention, since the ultrasonic vibration of the cleaning liquid is changed, there is a high possibility that cleaning can be performed at a frequency suitable for cleaning the inkjet head to be cleaned, and the ultrasonic frequency is suitable for the inkjet head. In this case, the clogging of the head nozzle can be effectively eliminated.
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The
The
The
The discharge port of the
The upper end position of the liquid surface of the cleaning
The
In this apparatus, the three-
Next, the operation of this apparatus will be described.
When the degree of clogging of the
In the
When the cleaning liquid is injected from the
In this embodiment, the
It should be noted that the liquid level of the
In this
In the
Next, another embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
The cleaning
In the above-described configuration, when supplying the cleaning liquid to the
