Description

The present invention relates to a screw terminal suitable for use in connection / fixation of a round crimp terminal mounted on the surface of a printed circuit board, for example, attached to the tip of a lead wire.

The connection of the lead wire to the printed circuit board is conventionally performed by soldering the lead wire directly or by inserting a screw through a through hole provided in the substrate and using a nut screwed to this screw. The lead wire is sandwiched between them and fixed, or the lead wire is wound around a pin standing on the substrate or soldered. In addition, a screw terminal block is provided on the front side, and a screw terminal block made of synthetic resin having a soldering piece (pin) protruding from the screw terminal bracket on the back side is used. It has also been proposed that a piece (pin) is press-fitted into a fitting hole provided in a printed circuit board and soldered and attached to the printed circuit board, and then a lead wire is screwed and fixed to the screw terminal fitting (for example, (See Patent Document 1).
JP-A-10-134865

However, the screw terminal block disclosed in Patent Document 1 has a large and robust structure for stably holding the screw terminal fitting provided on the front surface thereof, and the parts cost is relatively high. In addition, soldering pieces (pins) protruding from the back surface side are press-fitted into fitting holes provided in the printed circuit board, soldered and attached to the printed circuit board, and handling thereof is troublesome. Furthermore, since it is necessary to make a fitting hole for attaching the screw terminal block in advance on the printed circuit board, the degree of freedom of circuit pattern design on the printed circuit board is hindered, and there is a problem that it is not easy to use.

The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and its purpose is that it can be easily manufactured at a reduced component cost, and can be easily mounted on a printed circuit board and used for connecting a lead wire or the like. The object is to provide an excellent screw terminal that can be used.

In order to achieve the above-described object, the screw terminal according to the present invention is surface-mounted on a printed circuit board,
A plate-like main body, a pair of legs formed by bending both ends of the main body in the same direction, and a screw hole formed on the upper surface of the main body; Each of the edge portions is chamfered to form a mounting portion that is soldered to a printed circuit board.

Preferably, the screw hole is provided so as to penetrate through the front and back of the plate-like main portion as described in claim 2. According to a third aspect of the present invention, the main body portion and the leg portion are formed by cutting both ends of the integrated component after being cut out from the plate material as an integrated component by pressing. In addition, about the said screw hole, as described in Claim 4, it is preferable to provide in the position eccentric from the center of the said main-body part. Further, it is also preferable that the screw hole is formed by performing burring processing on the main body portion.

According to the present invention, both ends of the plate-like main body portion are bent in the same direction to form a pair of leg portions, and a substantially U-shaped shape in which a screw hole is formed on the upper surface of the main body portion. And has a structure in which the tip edge of each leg is chamfered and the tip is soldered to the printed circuit board, so that the surface can be easily surface mounted on the printed circuit board. The screw is screwed into the screw hole provided in the main part that is positioned away from the surface of the printed circuit board by the part, and for example, a round crimp terminal attached to the tip of the lead wire is easily screwed and connected・ Can be fixed. In particular, since the tip edge of each leg is chamfered and the tip is soldered to the printed circuit board, the solder wet area that enters between the mounting and the printed circuit board surface is widened. It is possible to achieve a strong and stable solder joint.

Moreover, the screw terminal according to the present invention can be easily surface-mounted on a printed circuit board, and it is not necessary to previously pierce the printed circuit board with a mounting hole for attaching a terminal, so that the mounting position is extremely limited. Therefore, secondary effects such as an increased degree of freedom in circuit pattern design can be achieved. Moreover, since it can be easily manufactured by bending the plate material, there is an advantage that the cost of the parts can be reduced.

In addition, as described above, if screw holes are provided through the front and back of the plate-shaped main part, many screw grooves are engraved by effectively utilizing the plate thickness of the main part (the number of turns of the screw groove). Therefore, if the screw hole is provided at a position eccentric from the center of the main part as described above, the screw groove in the main part can be increased. Since the area secured beside each other can be used as a suction area for the screw terminal by the chip mounter, there is an effect that it can be provided as a chip component used for automatic surface mounting.

Furthermore, if the main body is subjected to burring to form the screw hole, the screw hole can be reliably provided even when the main body is thin, which is preferable as an embodiment thereof. .

Hereinafter, a screw terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a schematic configuration of a screw terminal according to this embodiment, FIG. 2 is a partial sectional view thereof, and FIG. 3 is a plan view thereof. In the figure, 1 is a plate-like main body, 2 and 2 are a pair of legs formed by bending both ends of the main body 1 in the same direction, and 3 is an upper surface of the main body 1, It is a screw hole provided through the front and back.

By the way, this screw terminal is manufactured by, for example, subjecting a part material cut out from a brass plate (plate material) having a thickness of 1.6 mm to a predetermined shape by pressing, drilling, bending, etc. It is configured as a chip component having a substantially U-shape of 5 mm, a length of 10 mm, and a height of 6 mm. In particular, the tip edge portions 2a of the pair of leg portions 2, 2 of the screw terminal are chamfered, for example, with a diameter of 0.5 mm, so that the tip portions 2b of the leg portions 2, 2 are formed. It is set as a mounting part to be soldered to the printed circuit board. The screw hole 3 is engraved with a diameter of 3 mm, for example, at a position eccentric in the longitudinal direction from the center of the main body 1.

The protrusions 4a and 4a projecting from both edge portions of the main body 1 with the screw hole 3 interposed therebetween, when forming the screw hole 3 in the component material cut out from the plate material as described above, It is a part of the holding pieces 4 and 4 provided to hold. Since the convex portions 4 a and 4 a do not exhibit a special function as a screw terminal, they can be cut off along the edge of the main portion 1.

That is, for example, as shown schematically in FIG. 4 in a schematic manufacturing procedure, the screw terminal first expands the main body 1 and the pair of legs 2 and 2 as shown in FIG. Further, a substantially cross-shaped part material provided with a pair of holding parts 4, 4 used at the time of forming the screw hole 3 on both edges of the main part 1 is cut out from a predetermined plate material as an integrated part by pressing. Next, as shown in FIG. 4 (b), the holding parts 4, 4 of the component material are held using jigs 5, 5, and a round hole is formed at a position eccentric from the center of the main body 1. A screw groove 3 is formed by cutting a screw groove in the hole.

Further, as shown in FIG. 4C, when a component material is cut out by pressing, burrs generated at the edge portions are cut off and the edge portions are faced. It is sufficient to perform this surface punching process on at least the portion that becomes the tip of the legs 2 and 2. After that, as shown in FIG. 4 (d), the above-mentioned holding parts 4, 4 are cut off, and the part material is bent in the same direction at a position (indicated by a dotted line) where the above-mentioned pair of leg parts 2, 2 can be secured. The screw terminal which processes and forms the substantially U shape mentioned above is formed.

As shown in FIG. 5, for example, as shown in FIG. 5, the screw terminal manufactured in this manner is formed on the conductive pattern 11 of the printed circuit board 10 with the tip portions 2b of the pair of leg portions 2 and 2 as a mounting portion. And is surface-mounted on the printed circuit board 10. Then, the screw 12 that is screwed into the screw hole 3 is used for connection / fixing by screwing, for example, a round crimp terminal 14 that is caulked to the tip of the lead wire 13. At this time, the tip portions 2b of the screw terminal legs 2 and 2 mounted on the printed circuit board 10 are chamfered, particularly the tip edge portion 2a thereof, and the burrs (protrusions) generated by the above-described pressing are removed. As a result, the solder 15 wraps well over the conductive pattern 11 from the top of the conductive pattern 11 to the tip portions of the legs 2 and 2 and the gap formed therebetween. Therefore, the surface mounting of the screw terminal by soldering to the printed circuit board 10 can be performed mechanically and stably, and the strength against the screw tightening force of the screw 12 to the screw hole 3 is sufficiently high. be able to.

Further, as described above, the screw hole 3 is provided at a position eccentric in the longitudinal direction from the center of the main body 1 as shown in FIG. This area can be effectively utilized as a suction area A by a suction head of a chip mounter (not shown). Accordingly, since the screw terminals 3 are not hindered by the presence of the screw holes 3, the automatic surface mounting using the chip mounter of the screw terminals can be easily performed.

Furthermore, the screw terminal according to the present invention has a simple structure in which the screw terminal 3 is cut out from the plate material and bent, the screw hole 3 is provided in the main body portion 1, and the tip edge portions of the leg portions 2 and 2 are simply beveled. The production cost is very low. And since it can be easily surface-mounted without providing a mounting hole etc. in the printed circuit board 10, it is excellent in the handleability. Accordingly, the degree of freedom of circuit pattern design with respect to the printed circuit board 10 is hardly hindered, and the effect that the screwing position of the lead wire 13 can be easily set at a relatively arbitrary position on the printed circuit board 10 is achieved. .

In addition, when mass-producing the screw terminals described above, as shown in the schematic procedure in FIGS. 8A to 8D, first, a long length in which pilot holes 21 are provided in the carrier portions on both edges. The plate material 22 is fed into a press die, and a screw pilot hole is formed as shown in FIG. 8A, and the inner surface thereof is tapped to form the screw hole 3. Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 8B, the plate material 22 is punched out with the screw hole 3 as a reference, and the screw terminal is cut out into a developed shape. Then, after the surface portions of the leg portions 2 and 2 are chamfered, both ends of the main body portion 1 are bent to form the leg portions 2 and 2 as shown in FIG. Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 8 (d), the portion of the screw terminal pressed as described above may be cut out (cut off) from the carrier portion of the plate member 22.

By forming the screw terminals by press working in this way, the screw terminals can be mass-produced efficiently and continuously. At this time, as shown in FIG. 8B, by adjusting the length of the legs 2 and 2 when blanking to the length of a screw (not shown) screwed into the screw hole 3, Specifically, the height of the legs 2 and 2 can be easily set by adjusting the length from the main body 1 provided with the screw holes 3 to the tips of the legs 2 and 2 according to the screw specifications. can do. Therefore, screw terminals having heights corresponding to various screw specifications can be easily realized.

In addition, when the screw hole 3 is provided in the main body 1, it is also very useful to form the prepared hole as a narrowing hole protruding to the lower surface side by burring. When tapping is performed on the inner surface of the portion formed into a cylindrical shape by burring in this way to form the screw hole 3, as shown in FIG. 9, its external perspective view and in FIG. 10, its partial cross-sectional view are shown. Since the effective length of the screw hole 3 can be about twice the plate thickness of the main body 1, the necessary number of taps can be reliably ensured even for the screw hole 3. In particular, even when the plate portion of the main body 1 is thinner than the screw diameter, the screw hole 3 having the number of taps that should function reliably as the screw hole 3 can be reliably formed. Moreover, since the burring protrusion only protrudes to the lower surface side of the main body 1 surrounded by the legs 2, 2, there is no possibility of hindering the function as a screw terminal, and therefore its practical advantage is great. Further, by changing the height of the burring, effects such as being able to cope with various screw sizes can be obtained.

The present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above. For example, as shown in FIG. 7, it is also possible to bend the tip of the leg 2 further inward and use a wider area of the tip of the leg 2 as the mounting surface. In this case, however, a two-stage bending process is required. Here, only the tip of one leg 2 is bent, but it is of course possible to bend the tips of both legs 2,2. In some cases, it is of course possible to bend outward.

In the above-described embodiment, the holding portions 4 are cut off. However, the holding portions 4 are bent in the same direction as the leg portions 2, and thereby the rigidity (bending strength) of the main portion 1 is obtained. ) May be enhanced. If the holding portions 4 and 4 are bent at the same time as the legs 2 and 2 by pressing, the manufacturing cost does not increase. Further, the material for forming the screw terminal, its size, and the like may be any one according to various specifications, and the present invention can be implemented with various modifications without departing from the gist thereof.
