Abstract
Description
The present invention belongs to the field of audio / visual reproduction equipment, and particularly relates to a surround system that reproduces audio signals of a plurality of channels, surrounds them, and outputs them to speakers of each arranged channel to create a surround sound field.
Various techniques have been proposed for generating an optimal surround sound field in a surround system of a multi-channel sound source such as a DVD. In order to generate an optimal surround sound field at any listening point, It is necessary to adjust the volume of the audio signal of the channel and delay processing appropriately. As a precondition, the distance (relative distance or absolute distance) from the listening point where the listener is located to the speaker of each channel arranged around. Need to ask.
For example, there is a method in which a listener manually inputs speaker setting information (speaker presence / absence, room size, distance from the listener's listening point to the speaker, volume balance, etc.) necessary for surround processing to the audio playback device. However, this method has the advantage that an optimum surround sound field can be obtained if the listener correctly inputs and sets the distance data and level information of each speaker and listens at a predetermined correct listening point, but the procedure is complicated. However, there is a drawback that it is difficult and time consuming for listeners who are not used to setting. In addition, since the listener needs to measure and input the distance from the listening point to the speaker of each channel, it is too burdensome for the listener.
In addition, the above-mentioned complicated speaker settings are roughly classified into several ways (for example, the distance from the listening point to each speaker is four types of 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, and 5 m), and the sound field conditions are set in advance. Although there is a simple method of recording the information on the microcomputer and letting the listener select it, the combination of several methods is insufficient in accuracy and it is difficult to reproduce the optimum sound field.
In [Patent Document 1] below, in an audio reproduction system comprising an audio signal reproduction apparatus that reproduces and amplifies audio signals of a plurality of channels and a speaker of each arranged channel, a sound that automatically sets the sound field optimally As a field setting means, a surround system as shown in the block diagram of FIG. 5 has been proposed.
In other words, the

The sound field setting means by the surround system of [Patent Document 1] uses the
Moreover, the volume setting method of the audio output device of [Patent Document 2] is, as can be seen from FIGS. 6A and 6B, the apparatus main body 12 including the rear speakers 15 and 16 and the

FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining a method of measuring distance data in the sound field setting method according to the present invention. FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing a configuration example of the surround system according to the present invention. 4 is a flowchart for explaining the distance data acquisition procedure in the sound field setting method according to the present invention.
In FIG. 1 or FIG. 2, the distance measuring
The distance measuring means 2 is typically a phase difference detection method or a triangular distance measurement method applied to a camera with an autofocus (AF) function (including a digital camera, a digital video camera, and a digital camera of a mobile phone). This is realized by the distance measuring means 2A using the autofocus function of the lens.
For example, in the case of an AF single-lens reflex camera, as shown in FIG. 1, the microcomputer is focused on the basis of the position of reflected light and the amount of light and shade detected by the CCD image sensor (three hatched portions) inside the AF sensor. The amount of deviation is determined, and the focus lens is moved back and forth to focus by driving the AF motor.
Digital autofocus of digital video cameras uses digital data (quantized color signals) of video signals sent from the CCD sensor or CMOS sensor of the photoreceptor, and moves the lens finely under microcomputer control. By detecting the value of the frequency component of the video signal of the image, it is judged that if the frequency component is low, it is out of focus, and the higher the frequency component is, the more focused it is. Control is performed so that the lens comes to the highest frequency position (in-focus).
In addition, the triangulation system widely used in compact cameras emits infrared light from the built-in infrared light emitting diode LED toward the subject, and the position detection element placed away from the LED detects the reflected light from the subject. To do. At this time, the position on the detection element to which the reflected light hits changes depending on the distance from the camera to the subject, so that the microcomputer calculates the distance and moves the lens to focus.
In the autofocus function as described above, the microcomputer calculates distance data D1 to D5 with the speakers SP1 to SP5 as subjects at the time of focusing at the time of focusing.
A
Further, distance data transmission means 2 for transmitting distance data D1 to D5 from the listening point LP obtained by the distance measuring means 2 and 2A to the speakers SP1 to SP5 of each channel to the audio
The
That is, generally, a digital camera is provided with a serial interface USB port as a means for transferring image data to the outside, and an image recorded in a memory device built in the digital camera by connecting the digital camera and a personal computer with a USB code. Transferring data is actually done. Therefore, the distance data transmission means 2A can be easily configured by assembling a format in which the distance data D1 to D5 can be separately transmitted in a microcomputer program of the digital camera or by writing the program from the outside. realizable.

As described above, according to the surround system and the sound field setting method of the present invention, the distance data between the listening point LP, which is the basis for the surround sound field setting process, and the speaker of each arranged channel is obtained in a unique manner. Since the measurement and transmission is performed simply and accurately, an optimum surround sound field for the listener M can be easily realized.
In addition, the listener M can feel the freedom of the listening point LP and participation as a party in the sound field setting, and can enjoy the satisfaction that he can create his / her best surround sound field while having fun.
In the above-described embodiment, the case of five channels is assumed. Of course, the same applies to the case of 5.1 channel or 7.1 channel, and the audio input signal of the sound source is a digital two-channel, digital multi-channel.
