Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marble containing an iron core having impact resistance higher than that of a conventional marble of glass which enables a play using magnets to easily enhance ornamentity and which has the same weight as that of a spherical body of glass with the same diameter. <P>SOLUTION: The marble containing the iron core 1 of a perfect spherical body is constituted by covering the whole outer surface of the iron core 2 with a synthetic resin outer skin 3, and further has the same size and weight as that of the conventional marble of glass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

Description

  The present invention relates to a marble having a diameter of 1 to 2 cm, for example, where a child plays by hitting a ball of a competitor who has rolled the ball and repelling the ball by impact. In the present application, the “marble” refers to a game sphere regardless of the material.

Marbles have long been known as glass sphere toys, but recently, synthetic resin spheres, iron balls, and half of the spheres are made of metal and the other half are made of synthetic resin. Non-glass marbles are also commercially available that are heavy and light in the other half so that the spheres roll irregularly. Also known is a Ramune ball in which a short columnar hard core material is penetrated in the diameter direction of an elastic sphere, and both end surfaces of the core material are exposed to the outer surface of the sphere (Patent Document 1).

  Glass marbles that have been used for a long time have been suitable for toys in terms of size, weight, etc., but because they are made of glass, they have left a problem in impact resistance.

  There are iron balls and plastic balls that increase the impact resistance. However, the iron balls are too heavy, and the plastic balls are too light.

  The present invention increases the impact resistance by covering the entire outer surface of the iron core with a synthetic resin outer cover, and makes it possible to achieve an appropriate weight, preferably the same weight as a glass ball of the same diameter. It is possible to play with a magnet by putting in, and by using a synthetic resin for the outer cover, it is possible to print on the outer surface and propose a marble having excellent decorativeness.

  Referring to the drawings, reference numeral 1 denotes a sphere used as a marble. An iron core 2 is embedded in the center of the sphere, and the core is encased in a synthetic resin jacket 3.

  In the illustrated embodiment, the core 2 has a diameter of about 10 mm and about 4 g of an iron-made first ellipsoid 2a. The entire outer surface of the first ellipsoid is covered with ABS resin, and the diameter is about 16.7. The second ellipsoid 1a is about 6 g in millimeters. The second ellipsoid is provided so as to be substantially equal in weight to a glass marble of the same size. The marbles do not have a specific size or weight, and therefore the dimensions and weights of the above embodiments may be changed as appropriate. By making the weight of the sphere 1a substantially equal to the weight of the glass marble of the same diameter, the above-mentioned marble with a core can be used with the same feeling as the glass marble that has been used for many years. The thickness of the outer envelope with respect to the first ellipsoid 2a can also be kept moderate.

  The first ellipsoidal sphere 2a is positioned at the center of the second ellipsoidal sphere 1a so that the thickness of the outer cover 3 is all equal. The covering 3 may be covered using a known method.
