Description

Claims (10)
- 同期無線通信を使用して、通信する複数の通信装置(102)間で実質的に同期を維持する方法において、通信装置は内部で発生された同期信号(214、218)により他の装置と実質的に同期され、同期信号は通信フレーム(302)の開始を示し,方法は、
フレームの予め割当てられたタイムスロット(304)期間中にそれぞれ行われる他の通信装置からの送信をフレーム内において受信し(410)、
少なくとも幾つかの他の通信装置で受信された通信から伝播遅延を(414で)決定し、
少なくとも1つの通信装置の位置を伝播遅延から(420で)計算し、
フレーム同期のためタイミング基準信号をその位置から(508で)発生するステップを含んでいる方法。 - タイミング基準信号(214)は使用可能なGPS信号が利用可能であるときに通信装置により受信されるGPS信号から得られ、タイミング基準信号は実質的に各通信装置に対して同期される請求項1記載の方法。
- タイミング基準信号(218)は少なくとも1つの通信装置に対して先に決定された位置に基づいており、通信装置に対して軌道補外し、タイミング基準信号(218)は通信フレーム(302)の開始を示すために各通信装置で実質的に同期され、通信装置(102)は使用可能なGPS信号が利用可能ではないとき,自己同期信号を発生し、

同期された通信フレームの予め割当てられた時間スロット内において他の通信装置とデータパケットを通信するデータ受信機/送信機(202)と、
他の通信装置に割当てられた時間スロット内において他の通信装置から受信された通信に関連する伝播遅延を決定するための到着時間(TOA)決定装置(224)と、
他の通信装置とのフレーム同期のためにタイミング基準信号を発生する自己同期信号発生器(216)とを具備し、
受信された通信の伝播遅延は他の通信装置と交換され,タイミング基準信号は他の通信装置から受信された伝播遅延に基づいて発生される通信装置。 - さらに、同期通信フレーム(302)の期間中にクロック信号(222)を発生するために、タイミング基準信号(214、218)に応答する訓練された発振器を含む同期エレメント(220)を具備している請求項8記載の通信装置。
- さらに、使用可能なGPS信号が通信装置により受信されたとき、タイミング基準信号(214)を発生するためのGPS受信機(210)を具備し、自己同期信号発生器(216)は使用可能なGPS信号が受信される時タイミング基準信号(218)の発生を控える請求項9記載の通信装置。
