Conventionally, an embroidery frame that holds a work cloth using a plurality of inner and outer annular frames is known. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses an embroidery frame in which an inner frame is fitted to the inner periphery of the outer frame, an auxiliary frame is fitted to the inner periphery of the inner frame, and the work cloth is firmly sandwiched between the inner and outer annular frames. Is described. In Patent Document 2, as shown in FIG. 18, in an embroidery frame 90 having an outer frame 91 and an inner frame 92, a separation portion 93 and a screw 94 are provided at one corner of the outer frame 91, and cutting is performed with the screw 94. JP 2005-36330 A JP-A-6-101155

However, the conventional embroidery frame has the following problems.
(1) The embroidery frame of Patent Document 1 has an internal and external annular frame that is forcibly fitted, so that there is a possibility that the work cloth may be rubbed, scratched, and torn.
(2) In the embroidery frame of Patent Document 2, the work cloth 2 can be easily attached and detached by loosening the screw 94. However, it is necessary to tighten the screw 94 to strengthen the holding force at the time of processing. It was troublesome.
(3) In particular, in the case of the tubular sewn product 1 (the outerwear of the baseball uniform is illustrated in FIG. 18), the screw 94 is hidden inside the sewn product 1, so that the work cloth 2 is troublesome to attach and detach. It took.

(3) As shown in FIG. 19, in the case of the sewing product 1 with a button, it is necessary to pay attention to the attaching position so that the button 3 does not overlap the outer frame 91 or the inner frame 92. The upholstery position was restricted.
(4) In the sewn product 1 such as clothes having a front-opening or back-opening body, when processing the continuous pattern 5 on the mating portion 4 of the left and right bodies, the inner frame 92 is removed every time the left and right bodies are folded back. It was necessary to release the restraint of the mating portion 4, man-hours increased, and work efficiency was poor.

The first object of the present invention is to provide an embroidery frame capable of efficiently embroidering a continuous pattern at a mating portion when processing a continuous pattern of a sewing product having a mating portion such as a garment having a front opening or a back opening body. There is to do. A second object of the present invention is to provide an embroidery frame that allows a work cloth to be easily attached and detached by a one-touch operation when processing a continuous pattern on a mating portion.

In order to solve the first problem, an embroidery frame of the present invention includes a substantially annular holding frame and a sandwiching frame that sandwiches a work cloth between the retaining frame and a part of the sandwiching frame. An opening portion that does not restrain the work cloth is formed, and a fastener straddling the opening portion is provided between both ends of the sandwiching frame facing each other at the opening portion. In order to solve the second problem, the embroidery frame of the present invention is characterized in that the fastener includes a link mechanism for expanding and contracting the opening of the opening.

Here, as the holding frame, an endless frame whose entire circumference is closed can be used, and a substantially annular frame in which the separating portions are connected with screws can be used as in the conventional case. The shape of the holding frame is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include a quadrangle, a polygon, a circle, and an ellipse. The sandwiching frame is an end frame provided with an open part in part, and can be formed in a shape similar to the holding frame. The combination of the holding frame and the sandwiching frame is not particularly limited, and the sandwiching frame may be assembled inside the retaining frame, or the sandwiching frame may be assembled outside the holding frame.

In the case of continuous pattern processing of a sewn product having a mating portion such as a garment having a front-opening or back-opening body, a substantially annular holding frame is provided in that the right and left sides of the mating portion can be easily folded or folded. It is preferable to use for the inner frame a sandwiching frame that is used for the outer frame and has an open portion. In this case, the opening size of the opening portion can be appropriately set according to the width of the mating portion, but if it is about 3 to 15 cm, the mating portion of a standard front opening sewing product can be easily formed by the opening portion of the sandwiching frame. Can be obsessed with. In order to secure a sufficient space above the opening, it is preferable that the fastener is arched between both ends of the sandwiching frame.

Specifically, the fastener is provided with a pair of arch pieces straddling the open part, one arch piece is attached to one end of the sandwiching frame, the other arch piece is attached to the other end of the sandwiching frame, and both are attached to the link mechanism. The structure which provided the link which connects this arch piece so that expansion-contraction, and the lever which drives a link are employable. In this case, it is good to provide the guide part which guides both arch pieces to the frontage direction of an open part in a fastener. In this way, since the extending and contracting direction of the arch piece is regulated by the guide portion, the sandwiching frame can be expanded or contracted while being kept in the same plane as the holding frame.

According to the embroidery frame of the present invention, since the opening part that does not restrain the work cloth and the fastener that straddles the opening part are provided on the sandwiching frame, the fitting part of the fitting part such as a garment having a front opening or a back opening body is provided. When processing a continuous pattern of a certain sewn product, the left and right sides of the mating portion can be easily folded or folded, and the continuous pattern can be efficiently embroidered on the mating portion. In addition, since the opening of the opening portion is configured to be expanded and contracted by the link mechanism of the fastener, the work cloth can be easily attached and detached by a one-touch operation when processing a continuous pattern.

FIG. 3 shows the best mode for carrying out the present invention. The embroidery frame 11 includes a substantially annular outer frame (holding frame) 21 and an inner frame (clamping frame) 22 that clamps a work cloth between the outer frame 21. An opening portion 29 that does not restrain the work cloth is formed on a part of the inner frame 22, and a fastener 30 is installed between both ends 22 a and 22 b of the inner frame 22 that face each other at the opening portion 29. The fastener 30 includes a pair of arch pieces 31 and 32 straddling the opening 29, a link 37 that connects both arch pieces 31 and 32 in a telescopic manner, a lever 38 that drives the link 37, and arch pieces 31 and 32. And a guide portion 36 for linearly guiding the opening portion 29 toward the frontage. The link 37 and the lever 38 constitute a link mechanism 33 that expands and contracts the opening of the opening 29.

Embodiment 1 of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. As shown in FIG. 1, the embroidery frame 11 of this embodiment is attached to a frame drive mechanism 12 of the embroidery sewing machine. The frame drive mechanism 12 includes a pair of left and right arms 14 above the sewing bed 13, an X drive frame 15 that drives the arms 14 in the left-right direction, and a Y drive frame 16 that drives the X drive frame 15 in the front-rear direction. ing. The embroidery frame 11 is detachably attached to the attachment portion 17 of the arm 14 and is driven in the front-rear and left-right directions around the needle hole 19 of the needle plate 18 as the X drive frame 15 and the Y drive frame 16 move.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the embroidery frame 11 includes an outer frame 21 as a substantially square annular holding frame and an inner frame 22 as a sandwiching frame having a shape similar to the outer frame 21. The outer frame 21 is provided with a screw 24 for adjusting the clamping force similar to the conventional one, and the inner frame 22 is provided with a pair of left and right handles 23 that are attached to and detached from the attachment portion 17 of the arm 14. Between the outer frame 21 and the inner frame 22, a work cloth 2 of a front-opening sewing product 1 (exemplary outerwear of a baseball uniform) and a support plate 25 that stretches and supports the work cloth 2 are sandwiched. Yes. A relatively thick synthetic resin plate is used for the support plate 25, and a window hole 26 that defines the embroidery range of the work cloth 2 on its upper surface and an adhesive tape 27 that holds the work cloth 2 around the window hole 26. Is provided.

As shown in FIGS. 3, 4, and 5, an open portion 29 that does not restrain the work cloth 2 is formed between the inner frame 22 and the outer frame 21 at the front center. That is, in the open part 29, the inner frame 22 is cut and the work cloth 2 is not sandwiched between the outer frame 21 and the inner frame 22. Between the left end 22 a and the right end 22 b of the inner frame 22 facing each other at the opening portion 29, a fastener 30 for extending or reducing the inner frame 22 is installed inside the outer frame 21. The fastener 30 is provided with a pair of left and right arch pieces 31 and 32 that straddle the opening 29 and a link mechanism 33 that expands and contracts the opening of the opening 29. In this embodiment, the inner frame 22 is made of an elastic material such as a synthetic resin and is formed into a substantially square plane having a side of about 45.5 cm, and the opening 29 is formed with a frontage dimension of about 10 cm.

The arch pieces 31 and 32 are formed into a similar shape by sheet metal, and are fixed to the inner surface of the inner frame 22 with pins 35 at the base ends. A pair of upper and lower guide portions 36 are bent at the tips of the arch pieces 31 and 32 in parallel with the inner frame 22, and the arch pieces 31 and 32 are relatively aligned with each other along a straight line extending in the opening direction of the opening portion 29 by the guide portion 36. Will be guided. The link mechanism 33 includes a link 37 that connects the arch pieces 31 and 32 in an extendable manner, and a lever 38 that drives the link 37. The base end of the link 37 is pivotally attached to the left arch piece 31, and the distal end is pivotally attached to the intermediate portion of the lever 38. The base end of the lever 38 is pivotally attached to the right arch piece 32, and a knob 39 for operating the lever 38 is provided at the tip.

Then, as shown in FIG. 5A, when the lever 38 is raised, the arch pieces 31 and 32 are closed, the opening (Fa) of the opening 29 is reduced, and the inner frame 22 is elastically elastic to the outer frame 21. Get away from. When the lever 38 is tilted, as shown in FIG. 5B, the arch pieces 31 and 32 are opened, the opening of the open portion 29 is enlarged (Fb> Fa), and the inner frame 22 resists elasticity and the outer frame Approach 21 side. As shown in FIG. 5C, when the lever 38 is further tilted, the arch pieces 31 and 32 are fully opened, the opening of the open portion 29 is expanded most (Fc> Fb), and the inner frame 22 is moved to the outer frame 21. Abut. The link 37 and the lever 38 overlap with the arch pieces 31 and 32 in parallel, and the link mechanism 33 stops at the fulcrum position to hold the inner frame 22 in the expanded form. The link mechanism 33 may be stopped at a position exceeding the dead center so that the inner frame 22 can be prevented from contracting due to an impact.

In the case of processing the continuous pattern 5 on the sewing product 1 such as clothes having a front-opening or back-opening body using the embroidery frame 11 having the above configuration, first, a support plate 25 is placed on the outer frame 21, The sewing product 1 is put on the support plate 25, and the work cloth 2 is stretched and held by the adhesive tape 27 (see FIG. 2). Next, the inner frame 22 is housed inside the outer frame 21, the lever 38 is tilted to expand the inner frame 22, and the work cloth 2 and the support plate 25 are sandwiched between the inner frame 22 and the outer frame 21.

In this way, the operator can easily hold the work cloth 2 on the embroidery frame 11 by a one-touch operation that simply tilts the lever 38. Moreover, since the guide part 36 of the fastener 30 guides the arch pieces 31 and 32 in a straight line in the opening direction of the opening part 29, the inner frame 22 can be expanded while being kept in the same horizontal plane as the outer frame 21. Accordingly, the work cloth 2 can be softly attached to the embroidery frame 11 without causing any traces, rubbing or tearing.

After the work cloth 2 is attached, the embroidery frame 11 is attached to the arm 14 of the frame drive mechanism 12 (see FIG. 1), and the mating portions 4 on one side of the left and right body parts of the work cloth 2 are folded back as shown in FIG. Then, the embroidery sewing machine is activated to process half of the continuous pattern 5. Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 7, the mating portion 4 on the opposite side is folded back with the sewing machine stopped, and the sewing machine is restarted to complete the continuous pattern 5. Thereafter, the lever 38 is raised, the inner frame 22 is reduced and removed from the outer frame 21, and the work cloth 2 is replaced. In addition, when processing the continuous pattern 5 long on either side, as shown in FIG. 8, it is preferable to attach the embroidery frame 11 to the arm 14 with the fastener 30 in the rear direction.

According to the embroidery frame 11 of this embodiment, since the open portion 29 is formed in the inner frame 22, it is possible to put the work cloth 2 by placing the button 3 on the outer frame 21 as necessary. Thus, the degree of freedom of the upholstery position is improved as compared with the conventional case. Further, when the work cloth 2 is moved toward the front end of the opening 29, the right and left body fitting portions 4 can be easily folded back with the inner frame 22 still attached. Moreover, since the fastener 30 has an arch above the opening 29, the operator can easily handle the work cloth 2 in a wide space. Therefore, if this embroidery frame 11 is used in an industrial embroidery sewing machine, a continuous pattern can be efficiently embroidered on the mating portion when a continuous pattern is processed on a sewing product having a mating portion such as the clothing.

9 to 11 show a second embodiment of the present invention. The embroidery frame 41 is different from the embroidery frame 11 of the first embodiment in the configuration of the fastener 42. The fastener 42 includes a pair of left and right arch pieces 43, 44 that straddle the opening portion 29 of the inner frame 22, and a link mechanism 45 that expands and contracts the opening of the opening portion 29. A long hole 46 as a guide portion is formed at the distal end of one arch piece 44 so as to extend in the opening direction of the opening 29, and both arches are provided with a pin 47 having a key portion 47 a that fits into the long hole 46. The pieces 43 and 44 are coupled so as to be relatively movable in the opening direction of the opening 29. The link mechanism 45 includes a link 48 that connects the arch pieces 43 and 44 in a telescopic manner, and a lever 49 that includes a knob 49 a that drives the link 48.

As shown in FIG. 11A, when the lever 49 is raised, the arch pieces 43 and 44 are closed, the opening (Fa) of the opening 29 is reduced, and the inner frame 22 is separated from the outer frame 21. When the lever 49 is tilted, as shown in FIG. 11B, the arch pieces 43 and 44 are opened, the opening of the opening 29 is enlarged (Fb> Fa), and the inner frame 22 approaches the outer frame 21 side. . As shown in FIG. 11 (c), when the lever 49 is further tilted, the arch pieces 43 and 44 are fully opened, the opening of the open portion 29 is expanded most (Fc> Fb), and the inner frame 22 contacts the outer frame 21. Then, the link mechanism 33 stops at the fulcrum position or the position beyond the dead center, and holds the inner frame 22 in the expanded form. According to this fastener 42, the pair of arch pieces 43, 44 are guided in the opening direction of the opening portion 29 by the long holes 46, so that the arch pieces 43, 44 are more in comparison with the fastener 30 of the first embodiment. There is an advantage that it can be reduced in size and weight. Other configurations and operational effects are the same as those of the first embodiment.

FIG. 12 shows a third embodiment of the present invention. As in the first and second embodiments, the embroidery frame 51 includes an outer frame (holding frame) 21 and an inner frame (clamping frame) 22, and an opening 29 that does not restrain the work cloth 2 is provided on the inner frame 22. A fastener 52 straddling the open portion 29 is installed between both ends 22a and 22b of the inner frame 22. Unlike the first and second embodiments, the fastener 52 is formed in an arch shape with a single metal plate, and does not include a link mechanism that expands or contracts the opening of the opening 29.

For this reason, when the work cloth is attached, the inner frame 22 is housed inside the outer frame 21, the screws 24 of the outer frame 21 are tightened, and the work cloth is sandwiched between the outer frame 21 and the inner frame 22. In the clamped state, the fastener 52 maintains the shape of the inner frame 22 and prevents the work cloth from loosening. Moreover, since the fastener 52 is formed in the arch shape which straddles the open part 29, when processing a continuous pattern, like Example 1, 2, it is the space | interval of the work cloth in the space widely opened in a part of the inner frame 22. The mating part can be easily handled.

13 to 16 show a fourth embodiment of the present invention. Here, the continuous pattern 5 is processed into a flexible work cloth 2 made of mesh fabric by a method different from that in the first embodiment. In addition to the embroidery frame 51 of the third embodiment, the embroidery frame 11 of the first embodiment or the embroidery frame 41 of the second embodiment can be used as the embroidery frame to which the work cloth 2 is attached. In order to extend and support the flexible work cloth 2 from the back side, two large and small backing materials 61 and 62 are used instead of the support plate 25 of the first embodiment. Also, two left and right applique pieces 63 and 64 constituting the continuous pattern 5, and two transparent films 65 and 66 that reinforce the work cloth 2 from the front side at the bonded portions of the applique pieces 63 and 64 are used.

In embroidering the continuous pattern 5 on the front opening body of the sewing product 1, first, as shown in FIG. 13, the outer frame 21 is stored in the recess 67 a of the tensioning jig 67, and the upper surface of the outer frame 21 is Cover the large backing material 61. The sticking jig 67 is inserted inside the sewing product 1, and the work cloth 2 is stretched on the backing material 61. Then, the inner frame 22 is fitted inside the outer frame 21, the screws 24 of the outer frame 21 are tightened, and the work cloth 2 and the backing material 61 are sandwiched between the outer frame 21 and the inner frame 22. When using the embroidery frames 11 and 41 of the first and second embodiments, the work cloth 2 is clamped by operating the levers 38 and 49 of the link mechanisms 33 and 45.

Next, the embroidery frame 51 is removed from the sticking jig 67 and attached to the arm 14 of the frame drive mechanism 12 as shown in FIG. The mating portion 4 on the left side is folded back, and a small backing material 62 is fastened to the back surface of the mating portion 4 with an adhesive tape 68. A positioning stitch 72 is formed on the right work cloth 2, and the applique piece 63 is bonded to the work cloth 2 in accordance with the stitch 72. As shown in FIG. 15A, a transparent film 65 is placed on the applique piece 63, and a seam 69 is formed on the periphery of the applique piece 63. Then, the work cloth 2, the backing material 61, the applique piece 63, and the transparent film 65 are stitched together at the over stitching 69 to process half of the continuous pattern 5. At this time, since the backing material 61 and the transparent film 65 back up the flexible work cloth 2 from both the front and back sides, it becomes difficult to make irregularities in the line of the stitch seam 69, and the continuous pattern 5 is processed with good appearance.

Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 16, an opening 71 is formed by making a U-shaped cut 70 in the backing material 61. The right mating portion 4 is folded back, the left mating portion 4 is spread flat, and the opening 71 is closed with a small backing material 62. A walking seam 72 is formed on the left work cloth 2, and the applique piece 64 is bonded to the work cloth 2 in accordance with the seam 72. As shown in FIG. 15 (b), a transparent film 66 is placed on the applique piece 64, and over stitches 69 are formed on the periphery of the applique piece 64. Then, the work cloth 2, the backing materials 61 and 62, the applique piece 64, and the transparent film 66 are stitched together at the over stitching 69 to process the remaining half of the continuous pattern 5. Also at this time, since the work cloth 2 is backed up from both the front and back sides by the backing materials 61 and 62 and the transparent film 66, the continuous pattern 5 can be processed with a beautiful stitch line. When the mating portion 4 is folded back, the work cloth 2 can be easily moved toward the opening portion 29 with the inner frame 22 still attached to the outer frame 21 as in the first embodiment.
