Claims (2)

装置本体に対して着脱自在な現像カートリッジを備え、前記現像カートリッジ両端に設けられた一対の従動歯車の駆動接線力により作像時には前記現像カートリッジを感光体側に移動させて前記現像カートリッジ内に回動自在に設けられた現像剤担持体により現像を行い、非作像持には前記感光体から離間するようにした画像形成装置であって、前記一対の従動歯車と、これに噛み合う装置本体に設けられた一対の駆動歯車の歯面位相を合わせることにより前記現像カートリッジと感光体との平行度を得るようにした画像形成装置において、前記一対の従動歯車と同軸に設けられている位置決めキャップをガイドするガイド部材の一部に突当て部を設け、前記現像カートリッジを前記装置本体に装着する際、前記駆動歯車と前記従動歯車との歯先が正規の位置で噛み合う直前に、前記突当て部にて前記現像カートリッジと前記感光体との並行度の矯正を行うことで、前記現像カートリッジ両側に設けた前記駆動歯車と前記従動歯車が噛み合うようにしたことを特徴とする画像形成装置。   A developing cartridge detachably attached to the apparatus main body is provided, and the developing cartridge is moved toward the photosensitive member and rotated into the developing cartridge during image formation by a driving tangential force of a pair of driven gears provided at both ends of the developing cartridge.
