北山ラベス(株)生産の日本白色種ウサギ(SPF,KBL−JW,3kg)を購入し、30×50×50(H)cmのステンレス製ブラケットケージに個体別に収容し、室温23±2℃,湿度50〜65%、人工照明(14時間 明、10時間 暗)下で、1週間以上馴化したのち、試験に供した。飼料は、オリエンタル酵母工業(株)製ウサギモルモット用固型飼料(RC−4)を、1日あたり約100g与えた他、自動給水器により市水を自由に飲水させた。
