Description

  The present invention relates to a footrest that supports a foot of a person sitting on a seat from below, and particularly to a footrest suitable for a car seat, a child seat, and the like.

For example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2003-212026 (Patent Document 1), Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-333774 (Patent Document 2) and Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 7-22838 (Patent Document 3) A footrest on which a foot can be placed is disclosed.

  Since the footrest disclosed in the above prior art document is incorporated in advance in a member constituting the seat, it is difficult to use for a child with a small body.

  The footrest according to the present invention includes a seat surface sheet that is laid under the butt of the seated person, a calf cushion material that is connected to the front end of the seat surface sheet and supports the seated person's calf from below, and a calf cushion material. And a footrest member that supports the seated person's foot from below, and a connecting member that extends from the front end of the footrest member in order to maintain the position of the footrest member.

  According to the present invention having the above-described configuration, the footrest is not fixed to the seat, and its position is fixed by laying it under the seated person's buttocks.   As shown in the figure, the footrest 1 is connected to the seat surface 2 laid under the butt of the seated person and the front end of the seat surface sheet 2 via the connecting bands 7 and 8, and the seated person's calf is viewed from below.   The footrest member 4 includes a core material 41 made of, for example, a rigid resin plate, and a cover 42 that covers the core material 41. The core material 41 firmly supports the seated person's feet from below. The cover 42 is preferably made of a material excellent in waterproofness so that it can be easily wiped off when it becomes dirty.

  In the illustrated embodiment, the connecting members extending from the front end of the footrest member 4 are connecting belts 5 and 6 extending from the left and right positions of the front end of the footrest member 4. The connecting belts 5 and 6 are connected to, for example, the back surface of the seat back portion or an appropriate position around the seat to maintain the footrest member 4 in a substantially horizontal posture. A string may be used instead of the connecting belt. A connecting tool such as a hook or a buckle may be attached to the tip of these string-like members.

  The connecting belts 9 and 10 extending from the calf cushion material 3 are connected to connecting rings 11 and 12 attached to the left and right positions of the rear end of the footrest member 4. Preferably, interval adjusting members 13 and 14 that enable adjustment of the belt length are attached to the connecting belts 9 and 10. By doing in this way, the space | interval of the calf cushion material 3 and the footrest member 4 can be adjusted according to the magnitude | size of a user's body.   FIG. 3 shows a state in which the footrest 1 is placed directly on the seat of the car. As another example of use, a junior seat or the like may be placed on a car seat, and the footrest 1 may be placed on the junior seat or the like.

  FIG. 4 shows another example of use of the footrest. In the state shown in FIG. 4, the footrest member 4 is removed, and the connecting belts 9 and 10 are extended from the calf cushion material 3. When the child's body is small, as shown in FIG. 4, the calf pad cushion material 3 may be used as an extension of the seat. The connecting belts 9 and 10 are connected to, for example, a front seat, thereby maintaining the calf cushion material 3 at substantially the same height as the seat surface sheet 2. The child's legs extend almost straight forward and the legs are supported from below by the calf cushioning material 3.

  As mentioned above, although embodiment of this invention was described with reference to drawings, this invention is not limited to the thing of embodiment shown in figure. Various modifications and variations can be made to the illustrated embodiment within the same range or equivalent range as the present invention.

  The present invention can be advantageously used as a footrest that supports a leg of a seated person sitting on the seat from below.
