このエアゾール原液をエアゾール容器に封入後、その上部にバルブ部分を取り付け、該バルブ部分を通じて混合噴射ガス(ジメチルエーテル:LPG=9:1)50mLを加圧充填(内圧:0.3MPaに調整)して本発明の人体用害虫忌避エアゾールを得た。
本エアゾールは実施例1の場合と同様、火気に対する安全性、使用感、忌避効果、噴霧性能ともにすぐれ実用性の高いものであった。また、本エアゾールで用いた害虫忌避成分の3−(N−n−ブチル−N−アセチル)アミノプロピオン酸エチルエステルは、ディートに比べると水に溶けやすいため製剤化の面で有利であった。

これに対し、比較例1のように、アルコール類の配合量が多いポンプ式スプレータイプは、火気に対する危険性が避けられず、使用感も劣った。そして、ジメチルエーテルを用いてエアゾール化し噴霧粒子の微粒化を図っても、比較例2の如く、水に対するアルコール及び/又はグリコールの総量の重量比が1.1倍を超えたり、あるいは比較例3のように、平均粒子径が0.5〜20μの範囲をはずれる無機又は有機粉末を用いた場合には、使用感の改善に繋がらなかった。また、水として精製水を用いた場合(比較例4)、保湿感、さっぱり感が付与されず、一方、硬度が700を超える水を用いると(比較例5)、エアゾール原液の安定性に支障をきたす事例を生じた。更に、炭素数がC6を超えるグリコールを使用した場合(比較例6)、べたつき感が残り好ましくなかった。
