前記温度検出手段により得られる記録ヘッド部の温度の値と、予め設定されたしきい値とを比較し大小を判断する判断手段と、
前記記録ヘッド部の温度の値が前記しきい値より大きいと判断した場合、前記キャリッジの記録動作における主走査動作間において、前記キャリッジモータを休止させるように制御するキャリッジモータ休止制御手段と、
主走査方向に前記キャリッジが前記キャリッジモータへ近接・遠離移動する主走査動作において、
前記近接移動から停止し反転する位置を第1の位置、
前記遠離移動から停止し反転する位置を第2の位置とし、
前記キャリッジモータ休止制御手段は、前記第2の位置における休止時間が、前記第1の位置における休止時間より長くなるように制御することを特徴とする記録装置。
