ウインドレギュレータは、複数のプーリ間に巻き掛けられた無端可撓伝動部材としてのワイヤを駆動モータで移動させることで、ワイヤに支持されたガラスを昇降するものである。一般にウインドレギュレータは、駆動モータやプーリの取付け剛性を確保するため、板金製のブラケットにその構成部品を装着することが多い。このような板金性のブラケットでユニット化されたウインドレギュレータとしては、特許文献1が挙げられる。
