Description

The present invention relates to a thread guide provided between a sewing machine balance and a sewing needle.

In a conventional sewing machine, a thread path of a sewing thread is formed from a thread supply source through a thread tension device and a balance to a sewing needle, and thread guides are provided at various points along the thread path.
With the recent increase in the speed of sewing, the vertical movement speed of the sewing needle and the balance has also increased, and there has been a problem in that the sewing thread pulled up from the fabric side is rampant when the balance is raised. In particular, at the time of high-speed sewing, the influence of the inertial force acting on the sewing thread itself is increased, and the yarn runs out on the lower side of the fabric, which also affects the formation of the seam.
Therefore, in a conventional sewing machine, resistance means for applying resistance to the passage of the sewing thread to the thread guide provided between the balance and the sewing thread (for example, a mechanism for applying sliding resistance with the sewing thread interposed therebetween, or the sewing thread) In order to eliminate the violence, a guide means in which the diameter of the passage hole is reduced) and the momentum of the sewing thread pulled up by the balance is reduced (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).
Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 5-68481 Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 6-72574

However, in the above conventional example, the passing interval between the sewing threads and the inner diameter of the passing hole are constant, and when using a thick sewing thread or a sewing thread that easily generates resistance, the resistance becomes too large and sewing becomes difficult. There is a disadvantage that it is impossible to cope with a change in resistance force caused by the thickness and material of the sewing thread.
It is an object of the present invention to suppress yarn runaway in response to changes in the material thickness of the sewing thread.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, in the thread guide of the sewing machine provided between the balance for pulling up the sewing thread and the sewing needle, a passing space for passing the sewing thread is formed and the passing width of the passing space for the passing sewing thread The guide member supported so that adjustment is possible is provided.
The invention according to claim 2 has the same configuration as that of the invention according to claim 1, and the guide member is supported so as to be rotatable about a rotation axis along a direction intersecting with the passing sewing thread. In addition, the rotation axis is oriented in the direction of changing the interval of the passage space by the rotation.
The invention described in claim 3 has the same configuration as that of the invention described in claim 2, and the guide member is a rod-like body bent in a substantially U-shape, and forms a passage space for the sewing thread at an inner portion thereof. And the one end part of the rod-shaped body is supported as a spindle directed to the rotation axis.

In the first aspect of the invention, the guide member has a structure that forms a passage space through which the sewing thread can pass, such as a hole or a gap. And the guide member can adjust the passage width of the passage space, and by adjusting the passage width according to various yarns, it is possible to give a resistance force when passing through the sewing thread without excess or deficiency. In other words, it is possible to stably suppress the yarn runaway with respect to various sewing threads.
The “passing width of the passing space with respect to the passing sewing thread” is not limited to the case where the width between the passing spaces itself is changeable. Including cases where the width when projected on a plane perpendicular to the plane is variable

According to the second aspect of the present invention, the passage width of the passage space is changed by the rotation of the guide member that forms the passage space, thereby achieving various sewing threads.
Thus, by adopting a configuration in which the passage width is changed by the rotation of the guide member, for example, a configuration in which the gap distance between the two members is moved and adjusted, or a size of the passage hole by a movement operation of a plurality of members. Compared with the case where the configuration is changed, the number of parts can be reduced and the structure can be simplified, and the productivity can be improved such as the reduction of the production cost.

In the invention according to claim 3, the guide member can be formed simply by bending the rod-like body by adopting a structure in which the guide member is substantially U-shaped and has one end thereof as a support shaft. It will be possible to dramatically improve productivity.
The “substantially U-shape” is not particularly limited as long as a passing space can be formed between the rod-shaped portions on both sides of the folded portion by forming the folded shape. For example, it goes without saying that the folded portion may be rounded or bent in a U shape.

(Configuration of Embodiment of the Invention)
Hereinafter, a sewing machine 1 having a yarn guide 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a main part of the sewing machine 1.
The sewing machine 1 includes thread tension devices 3 and 4 provided on the upper and lower sides of the front side of the arm part 2 of the sewing machine frame, and a balance 5 that moves up and down on the upper part of the right side of the arm part 2. The first and second thread guides 6, 7 provided between the thread tension device 4 and the balance 5, and the third and fourth thread guides 9 provided between the balance 5 and the sewing needle 8. , 10.

Each of the thread tension devices 3 and 4 includes a pair of thread tension plates, a spring that presses each other, and an adjustment screw that adjusts the pressing force of the spring, and a sewing thread between the pair of thread tension plates. Tension is applied to the sewing thread T that is clamped and fed by passing T.
The first thread guide 6 guides the sewing thread T in a direction in which the sewing thread T hung on the thread take-up spring provided in the lower thread tension device 4 receives the elasticity of the spring.
The second thread guide 7 is bent in a U shape and has a structure in which the sewing thread T is inserted inside thereof, and is provided between the first thread guide 6 and the balance 5.

The balance 5 is supported by a drive mechanism that is provided in the arm portion and moves up and down in conjunction with a vertical movement mechanism of the sewing needle 8. That is, the balance 5 is moved up and down in synchronization with the sewing needle 8. A threading hole through which the sewing thread T is inserted is formed at the tip of the balance 5, and when the scale 5 is raised, the sewing needle that has been looped by the hook mechanism below the needle plate is pulled upward. Then, the loop is canceled and the sewing thread T is tensioned to form the seam.

The third thread guide 9 is bent in a U-shape and has a structure in which a sewing thread T is inserted inside, and is provided at the lower part of the surface part (ago part) on the tip side of the balance 5 and the arm part 2 of the sewing machine frame. The fourth yarn guide 10 is provided.

FIG. 2 is a side view of the fourth yarn guide 10 as viewed from the right side of the arm portion 2, and FIG. 3 is a front view of the fourth yarn guide 10 as viewed from the surface side of the arm portion 2.
The fourth thread guide 10 is provided at a lower part of the right side surface of the arm member 2 and a guide member 11 that is a rod-like body bent in a substantially U shape that forms a passage space through which the sewing thread T passes. A support portion 12 that rotatably supports one end portion, and a fixing screw 13 that fixes the guide member 11 at an arbitrary rotation angle position in the support portion 12 are provided.

The guide member 11 is formed between two parallel and straight first and second rod-like portions 14 and 15 and one end portion of the first rod-like portion 14 and one end portion of the second rod-like portion 15. And a shaft portion 17 supported by the support portion 12 provided at the other end portion of the second rod-like portion 15. As for the guide member 11, each part 14-17 is formed integrally. That is, a straight round bar is bent halfway to form a curved portion 16, both sides of the curved portion 16 are made parallel, the shorter one is the first rod-shaped portion 14, and the length is The longer one is the second rod-shaped portion 15 and the tip is the shaft portion 17. That is, the shaft portion 17 is provided on the longitudinal extension line of the second rod-shaped portion 15.
A gap between the first rod-like portion 14 and the second rod-like portion 15 is used as a passing space for the sewing thread T.

The support portion 12 includes an insertion hole formed in the lower portion of the right side surface of the arm portion 2 and into which the shaft portion 17 of the guide member 11 is inserted, and supports the guide member 11 so as to be rotatable about the shaft portion 17. Making it possible.
In the support portion 12, the first and second rod-like portions 14 and 15 and the shaft portion 17 are both parallel to a direction (horizontal direction) perpendicular to the vertical movement direction of the sewing needle 8 and perpendicular to the plane of the surface portion. The guide member 11 is supported so that
Since the guide member 11 is supported in such a direction, the rotation axis of the guide member 11 and the guide member 11 so as to be substantially orthogonal to the sewing thread T passing between the first and second rod-like portions 14 and 15. The first and second rod-like portions 14 and 15 can be directed.
Further, the guide member 11 can rotate around the shaft portion 17 to move the first rod-shaped portion 14 around the second rod-shaped portion 15.

The fixing screw 13 is screwed into a screw hole penetratingly formed from the right side surface of the arm portion 2 to the insertion hole of the support portion 12, and its tip portion is pressed against the shaft portion 17 of the eleven by rotation operation. 17 can be fixed. That is, by loosening the fixing screw 13, the guide member 11 can be rotated about the shaft portion 17, and by fastening the fixing screw 13, the guide member 11 becomes non-rotatable and is fixed at the angular position.

(Operation of the embodiment)
In the sewing machine 1 configured as described above, a predetermined tension is applied to the sewing thread T fed from a thread supply source (not shown) by the resistance force of the thread tension devices 3 and 4.
Further, the sewing thread T is guided to the balance 5 through the first and second thread guides 6 and 7, and is further guided from the balance 5 to the sewing needle 8 through the third and fourth thread guides 9 and 10. The
When the sewing needle 8 is lowered in the vertical movement, the sewing thread T is looped by the hook mechanism under the fabric and the lower thread is inserted, and then the balance 5 is raised as the sewing needle 8 is raised. The loop of the sewing thread formed under the fabric disappears when the balance 5 is pulled up, and a seam is formed. By repeating this, sewing is performed.

The operation of the fourth thread guide 10 at the time of sewing will be described. FIG. 4 is an operation explanatory view of the fourth yarn guide 10. 4A shows that both the first rod-like portion 14 and the second rod-like portion 15 of the guide member 11 are on the same plane that is substantially perpendicular to the passing sewing thread T (first FIG. 4B shows a state in which the rotation angle of the guide member 11 is adjusted so that the rod-like portion 14 and the second rod-like portion 15 of the guide member 11 have the same height, and FIG. Both the portion 14 and the second rod-like portion 15 are on the same plane that is substantially parallel to the passing sewing thread T and parallel to the rod-like portions 14 and 15 (second rod-like shape). This shows a state in which the rotation angle of the guide member 11 is adjusted so that the first rod-like portion 14 is positioned vertically downward with respect to the portion 15.

In the state of FIG. 4A, the guide member 11 has a substantially maximum passing interval (passage space) between the first rod-like portion 14 and the second rod-like portion 15 as viewed from the direction of the sewing thread T passing therethrough. Since T is in sliding contact with only one rod-like body 15, the resistance force applied by the guide member 11 is reduced.
On the other hand, in the state of FIG. 4 (B), the guide member 11 has an arrangement in which the first rod-like portion 14 and the second rod-like portion 15 viewed from the direction of the passing sewing thread T overlap each other, and the passage interval (passage space). ) Is almost the minimum, and the sewing thread T is in sliding contact with both rod-like bodies 14 and 15, so that the resistance force applied by the guide member 11 is increased.

Accordingly, when a large resistance force is to be applied to the sewing thread T, the guide member 11 is pivotally adjusted from the state shown in FIG. 4A to the state shown in FIG. 4B to apply a small resistance force to the sewing thread T. When it is desired, the guide member 11 is rotated from the state shown in FIG. 4B to the state shown in FIG. 4A, so that the fourth thread guide 10 adjusts the resistance to the sewing thread. Is possible.
When the sewing thread T is thin or slippery, the guide member 11 is rotated from the state shown in FIG. 4A to the state shown in FIG. 4B, and the sewing thread T is thick. Alternatively, in the case of a material that is difficult to slip, the guide member 11 is rotated and adjusted from the state shown in FIG. 4B to the state shown in FIG. It is possible to give power.

(Effect of embodiment)
In the fourth thread guide 10 of the sewing machine 1, the passing width of the passing space of the sewing thread T can be adjusted. Therefore, by adjusting the passing width according to various sewing threads T, the sewing thread can be adjusted without excess or deficiency. It is possible to impart a resistance force when passing through. That is, it is possible to stably suppress the yarn runaway with respect to various sewing threads T.

Further, the guide member 11 of the fourth thread guide 10 is a substantially U-shaped rod-like body, and the passage width with respect to the sewing thread T is changed by rotating the shaft part 17 as a center. We are trying to cope with the sewing thread.
In other words, it is possible to eliminate the need for two or more contactable members to adjust the passage space, simplify the configuration of the fourth yarn guide 10, and improve productivity such as reduction in production costs. It becomes.
In particular, since the guide member 11 can be formed only by a process of bending a substantially round bar, the structure of the fourth yarn guide 10 can be simplified and productivity can be dramatically improved.

(Other)
In the above embodiment, the fourth thread guide 10 closest to the sewing needle 8 is capable of adjusting the passing width of the sewing thread so as to suppress the runaway of the sewing thread when the balance is pulled up. As long as the thread guide capable of adjusting the width is between the balance 5 and the sewing thread 8, any arrangement may be employed.
FIG. 5 shows an example in which a third thread guide 90 capable of adjusting the passage width is provided in place of the third thread guide 9 disposed closest to the balance 5 described above. 5A is a side view of the third yarn guide 90 as viewed from the right side of the arm portion 2, and FIG. 5B is a front view of the third yarn guide 90 as viewed from the surface portion side of the arm portion 2.
The third thread guide 90 is provided at a lower part of the right side surface of the arm portion 2 and a guide member 91 that is a rod-like body bent in a substantially U shape that forms a passage space through which the sewing thread T passes. A support portion 92 that rotatably supports one end of the guide member 91 and a fixing screw 93 that fixes the guide member 91 at an arbitrary rotation angle position in the support portion 92 are provided.
The guide member 91 includes first and second rod-like portions 94 and 95 that are parallel to each other, like the guide member 11 described above, and the first rod-like body 94 and the second rod-like body 95 are formed by the curved portion 96. A shaft portion 97 is provided on the extended line of the second rod-shaped portion 95 that are integrally connected. That is, the entire guide member 91 is also bent from a single round bar.
And the support part 92 is provided in the upper part of the right side surface of the arm part 2, and the position near a surface part. The support portion 92 supports the first rod-like portion 94, the second rod-like portion 95, and the shaft portion 97 of the guide member 91 so as to be along a direction substantially perpendicular to the sewing thread T through which all passes. .
Such a third thread guide 90 also has a stable resistance to the sewing thread T of which the resistance force is adjusted with respect to the sewing thread T and the thickness and the material are different by adjusting the rotation of the guide member 91 about the shaft portion 97. It is possible to give power.
In the case where the third yarn guide 90 capable of adjusting the passage width is provided, the fourth yarn guide 10 having a structure in which the passage width is constant and cannot be adjusted may be used.

In addition, the thread guides 10 and 90 capable of adjusting the passage width are formed by bending the guide members 11 and 91 from a single round bar, but are not particularly limited thereto.
For example, as shown in FIG. 6, the guide member 21 may be formed by cutting out from a single flat plate and bending it. The guide member 21 is formed by bending a long flat plate in the middle by a bent portion 26 to form first and second long portions 24 and 25 that are parallel to each other, and the bent portion 26 of the second long portion 25. The opposite end is cut out in a disc shape and is bent vertically to the second long portion 25 to stand up. Then, a through hole is provided in the center of the disc-shaped portion 27 and the penetrating direction is formed to be parallel to the first and second long portions 24 and 25.
At a position between the balance 5 and the sewing needle 8, a set screw 23 is inserted into the through hole of the disk-shaped portion 27 so as to cross the sewing thread T passing through the first and second elongated portions 24, 25. The guide member 21 is pivotally adjusted around the set screw 23, so that the resistance of the sewing thread T is adjusted, and the resistance of the sewing thread T of different thickness and material is given a stable resistance. It is possible.
