図7は本発明に係る現像装置の実施例1の要部を示す図で、現像剤容器壁面である現像剤攪拌部21の壁面の一部には磁界発生手段44、45が埋め込んである。磁界発生手段44、45は、図8からよくわかるように、撹拌部材23を挟んでS極とN極とが対向するように構成してある。このように構成することで対向する磁極の間に直線的な磁力線が形成され(図8A)、磁力線に沿って現像剤の穂立ちが形成される(図8B)。すなわち、現像剤の穂立ちは、攪拌部材23の回転半径内の相当な区域にまで進入する。そして現像剤は攪拌部材23によって図7の左から右へ攪拌されながら搬送される際、図8(B)に示すような現像剤の穂立ちの中を通過することになる。このときに補給されたトナーと現像剤の攪拌、分散が促進される作用がある。   FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a main part of the first embodiment of the developing device according to the present invention, in which magnetic field generating means 44 and 45 are embedded in a part of the wall surface of the developer agitating unit 21 which is a developer container wall surface. 前記現像剤搬送路には、異なる極性同士の一対の磁性体を有する磁界発生手段を少なくとも一組設け、該磁界発生手段が発生させる磁界は、前記現像剤搬送路内の現像剤を搬送する空間を挟んで概ね一方向に磁力を作用させることを特徴とする現像装置。
