Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an adhesive coating head, a coating apparatus using the same, and a bonding apparatus, and more specifically, an adhesive is applied with a knife edge, which is suitable for a reactive hot-melt adhesive. The present invention relates to a processing head, a coating apparatus using the same, and a bonding apparatus.
The knife edge is formed on one edge of a plate-like knife member called a doctor knife, knife coater, etc., and is known to apply while regulating the adhesive to be supplied to the moving coated surface to a predetermined coating thickness. (For example, refer to Patent Documents 1 and 2). The ones described in
The present applicant has previously developed a bonding apparatus having a coating head a that handles a reactive hot-melt adhesive d as shown in FIG. The coating head a is provided with a knife edge b as shown in the figure, and supplies and applies an adhesive d to a moving coated surface c. As the laminating apparatus, while the sheet f is conveyed horizontally, the adhesive d is supplied from the coating head a opposed from above and applied under a backup by the coating base g, It is used for pasting. Specifically, the sheet f coated with the adhesive d is folded back so that the coated surface of the adhesive d faces downward and guided under the pressure roller h, and the base material is synchronously conveyed at intervals there between. The sheet f is pressed against the surface of j by the pressing roller h, and both are bonded together. The base material j is, for example, a door material of various storage devices for kitchens, and the door is manufactured by bonding a decorative sheet f.
Incidentally, a new problem has arisen while the reactive hot-melt adhesive d is handled in an apparatus as shown in FIG. Among them, it is a main problem that foreign matters such as dust contained in the adhesive d supplied to the coated surface such as the sheet f, cured residues generated after the reaction and unreacted substances are applied together with the adhesive d. Yes. In the laminating process in which the sheet f on which these foreign substances are applied together with the adhesive d is bonded to the hard base material j, protrusions due to the foreign substances can be randomly formed on the sheet f on the surface of the base material j depending on the material and thickness of the sheet f. , Cosmetic properties are reduced. Further, in the laminating process in which the sheet f is bonded to another sheet, both of the bonded sheets f may be affected, and depending on the application, there may be a problem other than visual.
A main object of the present invention is to provide a coating head capable of applying an adhesive with less influence of foreign substances contained therein, a coating apparatus using the same, and a bonding apparatus.
The coating head of the present invention is a coating head that has a knife edge and supplies and applies an adhesive to a moving coated surface, and has a recessed portion on the back surface of the knife edge facing the anti-moving direction side of the coated surface. It is characterized by providing.
In such a configuration, the adhesive supplied to the coated surface on which the knife edge moves is pressed against the coated surface and applied, and the coating thickness is restricted by the back surface facing the anti-moving direction side of the coated surface. Adhesives that receive a large amount of adhesive, but foreign matter contained in the adhesive that is supplied to the surface to be coated is provided with a recess on the surface that receives this excessive adhesive, and the coating thickness is regulated by the knife edge. It can suppress flowing out and mixing into the agent layer.
In a further configuration in which the recess is in the form of a groove substantially parallel to the tip of the knife edge, it works uniformly over the entire application width of the adhesive layer, which is applied by the knife edge and the application thickness is regulated.
In a further arrangement in which the recess is located at least approximately at the tip of the knife edge, it works effectively on the adhesive immediately after being applied by the knife edge and before the application thickness is regulated.
In a further configuration, where the knife edge is made of homogeneously hardened steel that has been uniformly hardened, the thermal expansion is equalized when the adhesive is heated to prevent distortion due to non-uniform thermal expansion. Can do.
A knife edge is provided at the supply port of the tank that stores the supplied adhesive, opens the gate while adjusting the temperature and back pressure, and supplies it onto the surface to be coated. In the further configuration, the pressure receiving area in the tank portion of the residual adhesive changes as the amount of the adhesive decreases, and in a further configuration, the pressure receiving area according to the reduction in the residual adhesive in the tank Regardless of the decrease in the amount of residual adhesive, it is possible to always supply a fixed amount simply by keeping the inside of the tank at a constant pressure.
The gate is opened and closed to the left and right between the back surface of the knife edge and a pressing member that adjusts the gap by pressing the gate against the back surface, and the back received by the adhesive in the tank at the upper end facing the supply port. The pressure receiving is inclined with respect to both the back surface and the top surface of the pressing end so as to generate a pressing component force that is pressed against both the back surface of the knife edge and the top surface of the pressing end of the pressing member that are substantially perpendicular to each other. In a further configuration with a surface,
The gate is pressed against the back surface of the knife edge and the upper surface of the pressing end of the pressing member pressing the gate with the back pressure acting on the pressure receiving surface of the upper end portion through the adhesive in the range where the supply port is closed In response to the component force, it is pressed against the back surface and the top surface of the pressing end and there is no gap for the adhesive to enter, and when the gate is closed, this state extends over the entire supply port and firmly closes the supply port. it can.
The gate has an equal thickness portion pressed by the pressing surface at the tip of the pressing member parallel to the back surface of the knife edge. In a further configuration, the gate is pressed against the knife edge by the pressing member to ensure a gap adjustment state. However, it is possible to prevent a component force that causes the gate to escape or move in the other direction by the pressing force of the pressing member.
The coating apparatus of the present invention includes any one of the above-described coating heads, and a sheet transporting unit that serves to apply an adhesive from the coating head while transporting a sheet with the one surface side being a coated surface, The sheet conveying means is characterized by having a delivery path for feeding the sheet straightly toward the application position and then bending it to the side in pressure contact with the tip of the knife edge.
In such a configuration, the sheet is bent to the side where it is pressed against the tip of the knife edge in the delivery path after the sheet is moved straight to the application position by the sheet conveying means, so that the sheet is pressed against the knife edge with its tension. The adhesive is squeezed to be applied and applied by a knife edge, so that foreign matter can be further prevented from entering the adhesive layer whose coating thickness is regulated. At the same time, as the sheet tries to press-contact the knife edge, the positional relationship with respect to the knife edge is stabilized, and vibration and displacement are suppressed. Thereby, the coating base which backs up the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveying means, which is usually used together with the coating head, at the coating position can be omitted.
However, when the coating base is used in combination, the friction between the sheet and the coating base is reduced, the conveyance can be performed smoothly, and the sheet can be stably fed toward the application position. The adhesive supplied above is applied by the knife edge, and the escape of the sheet when the coating thickness is regulated can be suppressed uniformly.
In addition, it is possible to change the bonding conditions by changing the material and thickness of the sheet, the type of adhesive, etc. by adjusting the sheet feeding angle by bending the sheet to the side pressed against the tip of the knife edge and feeding it. Correspondingly, the delivery angle can be adjusted, and the delivery angle optimum for the bonding conditions can be set.
In this case, the sheet conveying means is configured to have a feeding path for feeding the sheet by bending the upstream side of the sheet to be linearly moved along the coating base toward the coating position to the side in pressure contact with the coating base. For example, in the feeding path by the sheet conveying means, the sheet is caused to have its tension by bending the upstream side of the sheet, which is linearly moved toward the coating position along the coating base, to the side pressed against the coating base. By press-contacting to the shoulder of the coating base, the positional relationship with respect to the coating base is stabilized, and vibrations and displacements are suppressed.
In a further configuration equipped with temperature control and pressure control to keep the temperature and back pressure of the adhesive supplied from the coating head constant, the amount of adhesive supplied can be adjusted freely by adjusting the temperature and pressure. It can also be supplied.
The knife edge described above is provided at the supply port of the tank that stores the adhesive to be supplied, opens the gate while adjusting the temperature and pressure and supplies it onto the surface to be coated, and the inside of the tank faces the supply port A coating head having a volumetric form in which the pressure receiving area of the residual adhesive in the tank portion changes as the adhesive is reduced, and the reactive hot melt adhesive is handled, While the pressure adjusting means supplies and fills the tank with an inert gas such as dry air at a constant pressure or higher, it maintains the constant pressure in the tank and renews the inert gas by exhausting the excess pressure by the constant pressure holding valve. In a further configuration, using the fact that the pressure receiving area changes according to the amount of residual adhesive in the tank, regardless of the amount of residual adhesive decreasing, it is always quantified just by keeping the tank constant pressure Can be supplied That. In addition, by supplying the constant pressure in the tank above the constant pressure and filling it with the excess pressure of the inert gas that is exhausted and maintained by the constant pressure holding valve, the inert gas can be renewed in the tank and It is possible to expel the invading air at an early stage and prevent the adhesive from reacting with moisture in the air.
The coating base backup surface has been subjected to a friction reducing process to reduce friction with the sheet. In a further configuration, the sheet is fed into the coating position and fed out of the coating position under the guidance of the coating base. In addition, it is possible to prevent vibrations and position shifts due to friction and friction with the coating base.
In a further configuration with a clearance adjusting means for adjusting the clearance between the coating base and the coating head, the clearance between the coating base and the coating head can be adjusted by the clearance adjusting means to set the optimum clearance for application. .
The laminating apparatus of the present invention includes any one of the above-described coating apparatuses, and the sheet conveying unit faces the bonding base of the adhesive-coated surface of the sheet to be conveyed downstream of the feeding path from the knife edge of the sheet. A bonding material transporting means for transporting the bonded base material at intervals along the bonding path to be used for bonding to the sheet, and a sheet to the bonded base material in the bonding path. It is characterized in that a pressing roller is provided for pressing and bonding.
In such a configuration, the adhesive is applied by the characteristic coating head described above while conveying the sheet by the sheet conveying means and the coating apparatus using the same, and the sheet after the adhesive application is synchronized with this. It can be automatically and continuously pressed and pasted onto a substrate conveyed at intervals by a pressure roller, and the pressure roller causes a sheet to fall between the substrates conveyed at intervals. Even if the tension is repeated for a moment and the upstream side of the sheet is pulled or vibrated for a moment, the sheet is bent so as to come into pressure contact with the knife edge by the tension in the delivery path from the application position. It is possible to stop the tension and vibration from reaching the application position at the press contact portion.
In a further configuration with a cutting means for cutting the sheet after being bonded to the bonded substrate before and after the bonded substrate or between the bonded substrates, the sheet is bonded to the substrate conveyed at intervals. The combined sheets can be automatically cut into substrate units by cutting means before and after the base material or between the base materials, and the cutting at this time gives tension or vibration to the upstream side of the sheet Even in such a case, it can be stopped at the pressure contact portion to the knife edge of the sheet as in the case described above.
In addition, it is not necessary to convey a base material at intervals, and even if it conveys continuously, it can bond together stably.
According to the coating head of the present invention, the foreign matter contained in the adhesive supplied to the surface to be coated is prevented from being mixed into the adhesive layer that is sent out with the coating thickness being regulated by the knife edge, and the applied adhesive is applied. Reactive hot melt type that can reduce the problem of foreign material protrusions on the sheet bonded by the agent layer, and in addition to the inclusion of dust, there are many foreign substances due to cured residues and unreacted substances generated after the reaction. It is suitable for handling the adhesives.
According to the coating apparatus of the present invention, the knife edge is formed by a combination of the sheet that has been linearly moved toward the application position bent to the side in pressure contact with the tip of the knife edge and the concave portion provided in the knife edge. It can apply | coat, suppressing further mixing of the foreign material to the adhesive bond layer sent out from the sheet | seat, and can bond the sheet | seat with others in a state with fewer foreign materials. In addition, the sheet has a pressure contact characteristic with the knife edge and the positional relationship with the knife edge is stabilized, and variations in the coating state due to vibrations and displacement including effects from the downstream side are avoided and coating accuracy is improved.
Embodiments of a coating head, a coating apparatus using the coating head, and a bonding apparatus according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The following description is a specific example of the present invention and does not limit the content of the claims.
As shown in FIG. 1, the coating head 1 of the present embodiment includes a
According to the experiments by the present inventors, when the movement of the coated surface 3a is stopped and the bonding is interrupted or stopped, the foreign matter in the adhesive 4 pool formed on the
The foreign matter accumulated in the recessed
In the case shown in FIG. 1, the recessed
The recessed
As shown in FIGS. 1, 3 and 4, the
Further, since the
The adhesive 4 is, for example, a polyurethane resin-based reactive hot melt, and exhibits a viscosity of about 10,000 Pa · s / 120 ° C. in a molten state. The temperature of the adhesive 4 in the
Further, as shown in FIG. 3, the volume form of the
On the other hand, the pressure adjusting means 42 supplies an inert
Further, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the coating head 1 is provided at a plurality of positions in the longitudinal direction through the
As shown in FIG. 1, the coating apparatus according to the present embodiment includes the coating head 1 described above and the adhesive 4 from the coating head 1 with one side thereof being a coated surface 3a while conveying the
Further, the
Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the sheet conveying means 51 may have a horizontal normal carry-in route indicated by a virtual line on the upstream side of the
Further, the
Moreover, the coating apparatus of this Embodiment is provided with the clearance adjustment means 53 which adjusts the clearance S between the
Further, the laminating apparatus according to the present embodiment includes the coating head 1 and a coating apparatus using the coating head 1, and the sheet conveying means 51 is provided on the
In addition, the
As shown in FIG. 1, the sheet conveying means 51 includes a driving
